Okay umm first of all I have myself skipped episodes in between so can't comment much on Yash and the joker track but about kritika , sam and nani those actors made an exit from the show and hence their characters were terminated without any knowledge.Yash turned villain coz he was angry on Sid and Roshni on getting him married to Sam , basically in his frustration with Sam , he wanted to make the life of Sid miserable. He became a joker and blackmailed them but now he is dead as per last episode of JR!
