Hi All,

I have come on this forum on and off in the past few months and love the show BTW. But this is my first topic post here. The reason I am posting this is coz I have observed the women in this story and honestly they are pathetic. At least the way they have been portrayed is!

Dont get me wrong, I do like the show a lot, and I also find it highly entertaining. But at the same time, as a female myself, I have to feel a bit disgusted and ashamed of the way the women on this show act. NON of the women are shown to even have one jot of empathy towards Rajini.

There are 6 women on this show. Surili, Bubbles, Maggie, Sharmila, Shaugata and then Ashwariya. 5 men. Amrish, Ghyaan, Shaan, Dhyaan and Dev. 6 if you count Matthew. The men have been understanding, supportive and helpful. But the women have been catty, jealous, spiteful and insecure. They are always plotting to have Rajini thrown out. Even happy she got arrested. After I saw that episode I was so disgusted. Is THIS how we act towards any woman we are threatened by? Like do females have no empathy for other females? Are we all nasty and spiteful to other women? This is really shocking. Do all these women think marriage is a joke? That even though Rajini is married to Shaan, they dont care, all they have to do is plot, and she will be thrown out? What sort of regressive thinking is this?

To the makers of this show I will say...good job on the novel concept. Liking it very much. Like the way Adarsh Bahu is made to look like a mockery. I get this is a satire and they are mocking Adarsh Bahu and Saas Bahu stories. But on the same token, the way women are shown as bimbo airheads, spiteful backstabbers or over-smart with fake ideas of feminism? Quite disappointing. The robot is the only decent woman on this show, if you don't count the little kid Kuhu!

Request to the makers. Show these women with a little bit more depth instead of making them all look like caricatures of the WORST behaviors of females!

I would love to know what others think on this topic and if they also have similar views? Please do post! Kindly note, this is not a bashing post, or a negative post. This is just an opinion piece on the way women are portrayed on this show. You are free to disagree!

My thinking is also same dude. I am totally disappointed with the way that writer had displayed the character of all the working women on the show. Disgusting totally disgusting

Thanks! Happy to see others share my view. Even a Matriarch type character like Surili has no class. Doing daily plotting and theatrics. I used to think at the start she was classy, but she is not even close to being that. It is all fake show, for her and her useless daughter Shaugata!

Also, WHY does she call herself in the third person? She really think NO end of herself. How is it possible she is even related to Amrish? Either ways, I wish they would redeem the pathetic females of this show! Quite disgusted!

I have been thinking the same for some time. I thought Ashwarya would be on her side after the wedding but no that did not happen.

They are always plotting against her. I find Surili most infuriating. She cannot appreciate anything Rajni does even though other two bahus don't do anything.

These women are more regressive than the women on other saas-bahu. These are supposed to be modern and professional but there characters are most regressive. At least in other shows bahus have some support from some woman-folk from the family. Not each and everyone is out for the bahu's blood.

But had they not shown them this way we wouldnt have been able to see Rajni execute the Adarsh Bahu program 😃

Her features are mainly highlighted because of them acting like regressive ladies

And that is also how they are making a mockery of Adarsh Bahu soaps😆

Its a two sided coin

They are just showing the bot executing the features installed in her

And aise toh every show shows saas and nanand and jethani devrani as plotting scheming ladies

Hence our Rajni 😆

I agree with you..at least surili shld show some gratitude towards rajni..now a days her character is hell annoying 😕 she is like babo of diya aur baati serial. 😆

I disagree to some extent. They could have had a mix of characters from both genders that dislike her or her perfectness. Why all women are catty/plotting vs all men who are good and supportive???
