So is FAN a Flop?

Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan" completed its two weeks run at the worldwide box office onApril 29. In its two weeks run, the film has not performed well as compared to ShahRukh's previous film, but it still managed to become the second highest grosser of 2016.

"Fan" is the second biggest earner in India and the highest grosser at the overseas boxoffice. In India, Maneesh Sharma's directorial film earned an income of around Rs.118.50 crore gross (Rs. 82.95 crore net), while from the overseas box office itaccumulated Rs. 64.96 crore ($ 9.780 million). The two weeks domestic and overseasincome takes the worldwide earnings to Rs. 183.46 crore.

"#Fan [Week 2] Fri 1.70 cr, Sat 2.65 cr, Sun3.40 cr, Mon 1.10 cr, Tue 1 cr, Wed 85 lacs, Thu 75 lacs. Total: 82.95 cr. India biz," tradeanalyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Friday.

"#Fan - Overseas - Total till Week 2: $ 9.780 million [ 64.96 cr]... Best in USA-Canada [$2.158 million], UAE-GCC [$ 3.550 million]," he tweeted on Saturday.

The film might not break any records in India, as the collection has dipped after itsopening weekend, but "Fan" continues to shatter records internationally. Not only thehighest grosser, "Fan" also shattered the overseas collection record of Salman Khan's"Ek Tha Tiger."

"Ek Tha Tiger," also starring Katrina Kaif, earned $9.4 million, which has now beenshattered by "Fan" with its $ 9.780 million income from the overseas box office run."Fan" is now set to beat the records of Shah Rukh's 2007 release "Om Shanti Om"overseas, according to Bollywood Hungama.

Directed by Maneesh, "Fan" features Shah Rukh in a double role - Aryan Khanna andGaurav Chandna -- Waluscha de Sousa and Shriya Pilgaonkar as the lead actresses andDeepika Amin and Yogendra Tiku in supporting roles as Gaurav's parents.
