Ok with Rohanpreet........Not with Aamir!

Rohanpreet and Aamir had twice forgotten their lines, but the judges were compassionate with Rohan while they were too harsh with Aamir.
When Rohan forgot his lines for the first time, Sonu prompted him and they laughed the whole thing off. They took it lightly again when he did the same on this saturday.
But when Aamir forgot the lines he recieved a bad telling off from Sonu which made the boy nervous and he forgot the lines again on next day.
Rohan and Aamir are talented boys but why are the judges being strict to someone while being lenient to other? Every child should be treated alike. Sonu and Suresh W are very good judges. But this kind of behaviour will have a deep impact on young minds. I hope they will be careful in the future

yeah.I know. The judges shd give the same treatment to all the kids.Though both the judges are most of the time very nice to all the kids. They shd be careful when they do scold any of them. That particular kid may get nervous the next day, like in the case of amir.

i think rohanpreet onli forgot it twice...but aamir forgot it more than twice..

well not just forgetting lyrics...but he started his mukhda and antara off at the rong place as well...so he's made more goofups with lyrics than rohan did..

and rohan both times caught up and sang the full lines...with or without any help...aamir didnt...he just skipped it and went on, no??

wenever rohan comes on stage, i always think, is he going to sing another punjabi song now?? but wenever aamir comes on stage, i always think, i hope he doesnt forget his lyrics this time...cuz he usually does, whereas rohan doesnt as much...

Frankly, the kids should be allowed to carry a piece of paper just in case they need to see the words (emergency). Certain songs are too complicated and tough to sing and the kids may not be fully familiar with the songs or the language/dialects used. This is a singing contest, and not a memory test. 😕

May be the showmakers think that carrying a piece of paper might take away the charm of their performance.

I remember Sonu saying that he cant remember lyrics. Then how can he expect a little kid to do so?

Forgetting lyrics should not reduce points.

I wholeheartedly support of the idea of allowing them to carry a piece of paper. If that looks bad , there are better technological solutions for that, like placing a monitor at bottom and above the stage , both flashing the lyrics in full or scrolling across in synchronization like it is done in karaoke.

As such, this is probably a good idea. But i ,personally, think remembering the lyrics of the song is important. When I was a kid and sang on stage i found the lyrics of the song to be difficlt and hence carried a paper with the lyrics.I diid not get a prize in that competition😕.....

later on the judge came and told me that though i had sung very well in parts,in other parts my song sounded rather ordinary/mediocre.She said that each time I had turned to look at the paper the throw of my voice had changed . Since I had not memorised the lyrics ,I had not been able to sing the song with full expression. To give full expression, one needs to feel the lyrics. How can u feel the words if u don't know the words in the first place? The quality of singing(harkats etc) also deteriorates on a minute level since the attention is focused more on getting the lyrics right....and in the process, some small nuances are forgotten.Lastly, the judge asked me one question...she said, "do u study for ur exam "?I said that i do.She said that if i cld put in 3-4 hrs there to learn my answers and score marks,I cld certainly put in 1/2 an hr to learn these lyrics. She said that next time she didn't want to hear the excuse that the lyrics were difficlt to learn, since I was a school going child and at this age children can learn anything.

I took this as a lesson in my life.Today I first learn the lyrics of the song and I see that it has helped me tremendously in rendering the song in a much better way.I can understand if a person is giving a stage show where he has to sing ard 50 songs...In that case he can't learn the lyrics and keeps a paper with him...But these kids have to render only one song..Surely they can learn the lyrics....and if they can't,I'll say only one thing,it shows plain lack of effort and seriousness .

These same thing abt how important it is to learn the lyrics was cited by Alka Yagink in li'l champs-05(dunno how many of u can recall). Some kid forgot the lines and she said the same thing abt the expression deteroirating if she wasn't comfortable with the lyrics. In an old version of Saregama (where sonu was hosting) Pandit Jasraj told a boy to sing a song and the boy said'lyrics theek se nahin aate'..Panditji immedtiately said 'Hindi film gaanon mein lyrics ke bina baat nahin hai'(or something like that) and asked him to choose another song
