"If you cant cry anymore... may be its (time) to smile" 👏 👏 👏

Finally!!! I got to read the post. 😃 😊 Been waiting eagerly for it 😃. Very beautiful take on Armaan's attitude to life (and Atul's of course) and how he helps Ridz face her troubles guiding her gently but firmly out of it.

I remember the way Armaan told her I dont know how it feels to be adopted, but I do know not everyone is lucky to get a dad like Dr. Shashank. Shows somewhere deep in him a longing for parental affection.

I guess it would have been easy for him too to drown himself in self pity, wallow in it, and make it an excuse for not moving on in life but instead he chooses to have fun and spread cheer around albeit under the guise of a brat and casanova.

Agree with Aarti that people who face difficult situations early in life are surprisingly most often the ones who live "life to the fullest."

Kudos to the creatives as you say for blending in such a beautiful take on facing life without melodrama and kudos to you for noticing that and placing it before us so beautifully.

I hope Armaan's attitude rubs off on Ridz and with lighthearted bantering and fights as well as doses of some very good advise she overcomes her troubles and learns to smile through it all and more importantly realizes how much he helped her out when she really needed him and how subtly and beautifully he did it.

I guess life is all about the choices you make on how to face it since you may have no say over the situation or circumstance sometimes but you do have a choice on how you react to it.

There now what a loooong reply. Wish I could write like you and aarti, pithy, no frills attached but managing to convey volumes.

Your post really made my day.

Beautiful post, Sareeta!!

That's always been one of the most amazing things about Armaan for me...The way he's learnt to smile through all the pain that he's gone through in life...his jokes and his pranks are his own way of dealing with his painful past...and I applaud him for it! 👏 👏 This was especially evident in that confrontation with Ridz when he tells her that everyone is going through their own set of problems in life, yet they still smile and go about their routines...whether they have a reason to smile or not.

Although, I really don't think his attitude has truly rubbed off on Riddhima...yes, he did help her come out of her bout of self-pity when she first found out...but she truly hasn't really learnt to lighten up...I would say, currently she's mainly keeping the stiff upper lip...she hasn't truly learnt to 'smile through the pain' as Armaan as well as Atul do.

If Armaan's light hearted attitude truly did rub off on her, I think it would be fantastic! If anyone needs to take a chill pill about life in general right now, it's Dr. Riddhima Gupta 😉

@Aarti: Hello?? Who are you calling a Naani??!! I'm going to start calling you a Parnaani then! 😉 😆 😆

@ sareeta... Hey Aarti !!! Good to see ya back and how… replying on my post!!! Yay!!! *does the jiggy step!!! *

finally something from you!! Yeah I know… its been a while since I have actually penned anything… guess if my memory serves me right… Dainty was the last post , I made… intern of the week sure kept you busy all of last dinnit? Oh it sure did,… I was so bowled over by the affection of ppl on the forum… I never realized… so many of them actually read my posts.. until they mentioned it in their replies in the IOTW post… It was really really a nice feeling to know… that they indeed did! man u had a tonne of questions to answer Oh yeah , I did… and towards the end … they jus got more… Shelly bombarded me with her volley of questions and last but not the least, even Hinal didn't spare me… they both had such lovely questions for me to answer and I really wanted to answer in detail… and I kept wondering … why didn't they ask earlier on in the week man… now I am cramped for time!! But I finally managed to answer them all!!! . not to mention the awesome response to socha na tha...(thanks again by the way!!) Socha na tha, was such a surprise… I mean I know intended it to be surprise for ya… but never expected the awesome response for it from the other members as well… I was a nervous wreck wondering if it would even match your expectations… not that you were expecting a VM from me…but you know in terms of the kind of VM I would make… and all the more nervous cause much as I made the video for personal reasons, I had dedicated it you for your anniversary and I didn't want it in any way to dampen the mood of your special day!!! Am glad it jus added to you enjoyed it!!! It clearly is my favorite VM to date… one , as I mentioned for personal reasons..( mentioned in my PM ) and the other coz I dedicated it to you and you loved it!!!

you know something, good cop/ bad cop actually took this line of discussion somewhere along the way. I remember the post and I did follow it , but hadnt contributed much to it really… blame it on my poor healththat actually that rendered me too weak to even manage to sit up and type…

I do remember the post Good Cop/Bad Cop was more specific to how Armaan was being the guiding force in bringing Ridhima out of her trauma and he was doing it possibly deliberately…and I absolutely loved the way you explained it in that post…

But Aarti, I beg to differ in this post , that I have drawn on the same lines… although I realize now after reading all the comments, that the post seem to have been interpreted in the sense that I am

but am glad you made a separate post for it, cos they were just the usual anu nani, sharika, notty, ginak and i out there and god knows you have wider appeal!!!!!

Oh , I would have loved to be a part of the discussion... but then well... its jus didnt happen... and please... Aarti... we all love your posts... me and a wider appeal... please...its jus that people may have been online at that hour... and yeah it sure is very humbling to know people read my posts and enjoy although I sometimes wonder why!!! Beats me... really....*scratches head* Main toh aapki writing ki pankhi hoon... and I love your postsssssssss sooooooooo much.... Mwwwuuauaaah!

so we are hoping that armaan's spirit rubs off on ridhima helping her recover rapidly...you are spot on about everything there. not only is it an established norm...i have seen from personal experiences that those who face strife early on are the ones who can live life fullest! the sheltered, mollycoddled and unaware not only over react, but also wallow in self pity. picked up beautifully by our dear Dr.A, when he tells ridhima that she isn't the only one suffering. lots of people are and just because they smile doesn't render their pain less severe than hers and that she should get her act together and concentrate on the task at hand...being with her parents!

and then of course his light hearted banter and the fun filled basketball encounter will just aid this process of healing....the process of teaching ridhima how to smile through her troubles and watch life smile back at her...the process of showing ridhima that there is more to life than just feeling sorry for yourself!!

Totally agree with ya there... I jus love the insights you bring in into the otherwise typical love story... its amazing and its a treat to read your insights!!! 😊

astute as usual...my compliments!! Bless mah soul… Thank you sooooooo much indeed!!! *takes a bow… humbly*

Awww, Zoya , thank you sooooooo much!!! *smiles sweetly , blushes sauce waala red* And you are spot on about my illustration ...in the post... it aint anything about the characters of the show, but the idea that has been blended in the story line and that of essence of life , that life ought to be seen in a lighter vein...and my perceptions can be quite mad and cranky.. and wierd .. as me!!! 😆 Coz in the words of my wise Dad... "I am a hopeless optimist!"

Thank you for seeing that and for appreciating the post !! You really made my day....

@ sareeta...oye..ab itne lambe chaude reply ka main kya karoon!! thanks for that..

why do people read and enjoy your posts? lemme tell you...each of us in your own words, taking off from dainty. remember how u said each of us loves yo be treated like we are precious by the men who love us? similarly, each of us has this little corner, however practical and pragmatic we may appear to this world, that is filled with romance, love and dreams that we love to deny. but with your posts and the way you write them, that corner in us awakens like a hungry beast and laps it up and you cannot resist but nourish the warmth that flows through...

ok, now come back to terra firma...

i think this is one time ridhima will finally see the rewards of laughing with life and the troubles it throws your way. being pro active necessitates an attitude that is not different what ridhima is displaying these days. confidence, light heartedness and an air of hope. in fact her body language has changed, her steps fall light, her head is held high and there's a definite bounce in her jog!!!

i think the change in attitude comes from the confidence that she has after all shouldered some one else's blame and she can set things right!

and yes, there's a lesson to be learnt for all of us! smile and watch your troubles become lighter almost instantly and obsess about them and experience their manacles tighten around you like they'd never let go!!
