We all know that our favourite celebrities are not as they seem in the movies. But how much does does what they do off-screen affect the way you look at them on-screen?
For example, I like Deepika, Kangana and Priyanka on-screen, and read about their personal lives here from time-to-time, but what they do off-screen in no way affects how I feel about performances.

I could really care less if Deepika ends up with Ranveer/Ranbir, if Priyanka is really secretly married to SRK or not, and if Kangana is really a psycho who needs help - I (well, at least try to) judge them based solely on their performances in their movies.

Of course, there are times when I read about Deepika's PR that I do agree that they can go way OTT with each and every movie being offered to DP, that Kangana lashes out at the same industry who has given her so much, and that Priyanka has inexplicably overshadowed other Bollywood actors who have also worked in America like Irrfan and Nimrat Kaur... but I tend to focus on these 3 in their movies for what they do on-screen versus off-screen.

So let's discuss: how does off-screen perception of your favourite celebrities affect the way you look at their performances on-screen?

If the performance of the actor, the story of the film, script and direction is compelling enough offscreen perception of the actor doesnt impact how I view their onscreen performances. Infact TBH if I go to the cinema to watch a movie the magic of cinema takes over and I hardly care for what happened offscreen wrt the movie or actor.

Nope..whatever is personal doesnt haunt me when I see them onscreen
A movie is movie..if I dont watch a good movie just because I hate or dislike them personally then its my loss totally

No.
Character is different from actor/actress. I might like to see a person convicted for his crime, but that does not stop me from watching or appreciating his/her movie.

It makes them look more interesting to me. But their personnal lives doesn't affect the way I look at them as actors.
Btw, the industry didn't give anything to Kangna, she had to snatch it to be finally acknowledge as a top heroine after 8 years in the industry hence the bitterness.
