Ch-9 : She Is Driving Me Crazy!
Priya lied to him, but why? He couldn't help but wonder over whatever he had heard from taani today. Priya had created a negative image of taani in his mind and he himself believed her to like that only, but when he compare the taani he knew to the taani priya had created, he could see the difference.
It took him a while but he had realized taani was not like the girl, priya had interpreted her to be. She is not selfish, cunning, a gold digger or an attention seeker. Infact, the girl he know, is a calm, strong headed, sassy yet sweet and an amazing person & mother.
But the thing he couldn't understand was priya's lies. Why would she lie about her own sister? It was something thats out of his understanding.
"Hey! Mr. Singhania, Its time for lunch, come downstairs." Taani's voice brought him back in to reality. He looked up and found her standing outside his room.
"Coming." He mumbled, he watched her as she gave him a small nod and walked away from there. He too got up and followed her.
"Taani, where is Rhianna?" Rey asked her as he sat down on his chair in dinning area.
"She is sleeping upstairs. She was quite tired-" She replied to him while serving him food then helping herself. They had there lunch in comfortable silence then went in her bedroom to check on Rhianna. They both smiled when they reached near her baby cradle and found their baby asleep peacefully.
"She looks so cute." Rey smiled softly.
"Why won't she? She is my daughter after all!" Taani replied, raising her invisible collar while he narrowed his eyes at her.
"Lets not disturb her. Since we don't have anything else to do, want to watch a movie?" Rey asked her, surprising her yet again with his talks. When he got a positive nod from her, he moved toward the movie collection and took out a movie and put it on.
"Hey! Thats my favorite movie-" She exclaimed happily when she saw it was her all time favorite movie 'notebook'. Rey chuckled when she jumped on bed like an excitedly little kid. He joined her in bed, they sat together, taking support of bedpost as they continued watching the movie.
They steal glances at each other without letting the other one know. Surprisingly, liking the comfort settled between them. Movie was about to end when he felt some weight over his shoulder, he turned his head sideways and found her asleep with her head rested on his shoulder.
A small smile touched his cheeks as he continued to stare down at her angelic face. He was beyond annoyed yet amused. It surprised him how she made him feel, something which he never felt before.
He made her lay down on the bed comfortably and covered her with blank. He smiled, again, lifting his hand up, he tucked few strands behind her ear while admiring her beauty. She was so innocent, so beautifully. But what he like most about her is her fierce nature.
He was glad she doesn't know what kind of affect she has on him. What she do to him, how much he wants to take her in his arms and make love to her. Without any effort, she manage to make him feel like this and it infuriate him at some point but also make him wonder, does she feel same way like he does? But then why will she? Atleast not after how he had treated her.
He knew no one deserve of be treated like the way he had treated her. But his anger and feeling of betraying Priya, got better of him, turned him into a monster he wasn't before. He didn't regret anything in his life like he regret his behavior with her. If only he could go back in past and undo all the things he had done and said to her-
"God!! She is driving me crazy!!" He thought to himself, trying to get her out of his mind, but find impossible to do so. Then deciding to take a small nap and slide inside the covers.
Temptation to hold her, got better of him and he wrapped his arm around her waist before he pulled her into him. An unknown peace wash over him and he slept, without any worry of world.
