just 1.6 ?

The whole week was of anandi and her struggle to stop child marriage of kavita... and Saturday was supposed to be an important day because dadisa died on sat.

But so sad, the TRPs are only 1.6

This shows people are fed up with that meaningless struggle of anandi with no planning to stop child marriages.

And it also shows people were unmoved by dadisa's so-called sacrifice.

Small correction. Week before it was 2.0.

Last week it was 1.8 and this week it is 1.6

All the shows across the channels have taken a beating because of IPL.

Coming to BV last week they were airing that horrifying promo of Dsa's death.

Not many people would want to watch Dsa's death scene.

They know that if they air Anandi's death promo they will get even less TRPs.

When they are bumping off characters which have connected with viewers in a big way over a period of almost 8 years

I'm sure the current week ratings will be dismal

Dont know why every time the trps fall, the buck is passed on to the Cricket.

Those who like BV will watch BV irrespective of IPL or Olympics.

It is being blamed on cricket simply because it is phenomenon that is happening across the channels in all shows between 7-9 pm.

All COLORS channel shows have fallen.

At 8PM all the shows across the channels are having same rating.

It is not the question of those who like BV or not. If the home has only one TV set the priority obviously goes to cricket match and not a daily soap😛

Sonymax airs IPL and the channel ratings have shot up😛

I can't understand TRP business and if there's a good story, don't even care for the TRPs. But one thing seems certain - low TRP has nothing to do with death of DS/Anandi etc. Otherwise, how Pratap's death fetched one of the highest TRP this show got?

Sometime back when Cricket was on, BV had scored high trps. At that time it was being bragged that the show has retained its popularity and viewership, that even cricket doesn't affect it.

I don't understand much about trps but I do know a fall im trps means low viewership and vice versa.

Simply put Dsa and Anandi have been on the screen for almost eight years.

When characters with whom people have connected and bonded over eight years regardless of the story that does seem like a depressing prospect to watch.

Pratap's death was all about drama. But over years Anandi Dadisa Shiv Jagya have become more than fictional characters.

For people who are emotionally connected with these characters it will obviously be a difficult thing to watch.

It is not about good story or bad story that work. It is about how they engage emotions of the viewers or how good they are in helping to escape from reality for a short while,

Not every one watches TV shows for intellectually stimulating experiences.

People watch them if they appeal to their senses and don't really care about sensibilities.

If they don't care about the sensibility of what is being shown that doesn't mean they are not capable of thinking.It just means they don't care as long as it appeals to them.

This week not just BV but majority of shows have taken a beating because of IPL.

Before that world T20 cup following which there was one week break and that week BV TRPs improvd and then with IPL they all dipped.

Nobody is blindly attributing fall of ratings to cricket

As far as I can remember BV ratings used to take a dip during IPL season because of the timing OF telecast which clashes with IPL.

When the ratings of almost all the channels in that time band have fallen obviously because of a common factor.

Daily soaps and cricket do compete with each other 😛

Infact trps should have been higher over the past two weeks because everybody knows that this will be their last chance to see the characters they have been connected to, for last 8 years.

The curiosity regarding Dsa and Anandi's death and its aftermath would be the biggest reason why viewers would want to Keep hooked even if they werent continuously watching the show. The end always matters. So why such low trps? Can it because of illogical tracks and violence?
