By showing a duplicate of Manoj Kumar and passing him off as the real Manoj Kumar in the scene of the premiere in the film Om Shanti Om, Shah Rukh Khan has actually insulted not only me but also the crores of the citizens of this great country who consider me the symbol of Mr Bharat. I am not only deeply pained but also hurt and anguished by this uncalled act of his

Are you contemplating taking legal action against Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan for defaming you in Om Shanti Om?

More than legal action, I want to taker moral action against him. Shah Rukh Khan or Farha Khan cannot get away with declaring that it is their creative freedom to show whatever they want. I want Shah Rukh to delete all references to me in bad light in the film with immediate effect.

Is a film maker not allowed creative freedom to entertain his audience?

You should as a responsible filmmaker know where to draw the line between .I was aghast when I saw the film after my London based niece called me to ask me whether I planned to take any action against Shah Rukh Khan who has produced Om Shanti Om and Farha Khan who has directed the film for showing me in bad light.

What irks you about Shah Rukh Khan?

Shah Rukh Khan does not seem to have any respect for elders. How can he stoop so low to injure my soul by showing a junior artiste who plays my double in the film being beaten up by the cops? Are Mumbai cops so bewakoof? It is a plot hatched by fundamentalists like Shah Rukh and Farha against a respectable Brahmin Pundit like me, for no rhyme or reason, to ridicule and humiliate me. Would they dare to show Dilip Kumar in such bad light?

Do you feel that the scene in which they portray a duplicate as you is illogical?

Of course. I am a six foot tall pathan. And every one knows what the height of Shah Rukh Khan is? Yet I am amused to see in the film that the cops feel that the junior artiste Shah Rukh Khan is the real Manoj Kumar just because he covered his face and throw out the duplicate who plays Manoj Kumar. 😆😆If today Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan or for that matter Hrithik Roshan go to see a film in a theatre, do you think the cops or the usherers would not know who they are? I am surprised that even the cops have not contemplated any action against Shah Rukh Khan for portraying them in a bad and funny light.

Do you think Farha or Shah Rukh Khan has done this because you refused to do a cameo in Om Shanti Om?

When I met Farha in Nanavati Hospital where I visit regularly, do you know that I had asked Farha whether she required me to do a cameo role when I came to know that she had taken a shot on a duplicate and she had told me that she did not want to waste me!

Does it mean that you are against duplicates and mimics who mimic stars with their voices?

It is not that I am against healthy entertainment without hurting people's sentiments. I admire Johny Lever😊 and am in fact a fan of his too but this is taking too much undue liberty at my cost. I am in favor of healthy humor but this one is definitely in a very bad taste.

and about ppl not recognizing him...well i was going thru sum pictures of the police event earlier...where the whole Big B adn SRK hand shake, hug thingy happened...

manoj kumar was tehre as well...and i cudnt recognize him AT ALL...i onli recognized him after reading his name under his pic...sooooo 😛 to u Mr. Bharat!

i think he's finding an excuse to create sum publicity for himself...cuz honestly i havent heard of him for the LONGEST time...

well...it was during that part....loll

in the song, ankhon mein teri...there is a premier of the movie happening rite?? well many big stars of yesteryear were invited to the premier...(most were just duplicates of stars)...

and om and his friend pappu wanted to go inside the theatre to watch the movie...but they didnt have an invitation...so pappy stole the invitation from manoj kumar (his duplicate actually)...and went in the theatre..covering their faces with their hands (wat manoj kumar is famous for)

den the security ppl were asking for photi id...om/pappu showed manoj's photi id, in which his face is once again covered by his face...so the guards let them in..

den the duplicate of manoj came and said i am manoj kumar...those ppl are imposters...and the police was like get out of here..u dont have a pass...and they kicked him out...and beat him up...

but afterwards he did manage to bring the police in the theatre...and kick om and pappu out..

den another part...om was drunk....and giving his filmfare speech...den this guy tells him to leave as hes trying to sleep...and om and pappu say dont u recognize him...hes manoj kumar...stuff like that..

i dont think they cud have used any other name except manoj kumar's to get into the theatre, cuz they needed to hide their faces....so he was the onli name they cud have used for that scene 😆
