Chapter 25

After breakfast, rahul went straight to studio. Payal accompanied him as she wanted to know more about how his concerts and albums have been presented so far as it will be part of her first business assignment that she was entrusted with.

Payal noticed grim look on rahul's face so she enquired "Everything ok bhai? You look... upset" carefully using her words as she didn't want him to get more upset thinking about whatever that was bothering him. "Are you nervous about tomorrow's concert? Something I can help with?"

Rahul gazed at her; he used to tell his secrets before she left for her studies. "Kuch nahi payal, dad aur mere beech kisi purani baat ko lekar tensions hain. Dad ki galtiyoon ki wajah se maanvi ko suffer karna padta hai par dad kabhi bhi apni mistakes maanege nahi. Dad ke liye humesha apni jhoota paisa, power aur pride hi sab kuch hai. Kya karoon ki wo apne lalach ko chod kar wo insaan ban jayein jo main unhe humesha samajhta tha."

Payal~ "Mujhe acha laga ki aaj bhi aap mujhse apni problems share karte hai bhai. Rahi baat mausaji ki, unhe badalna to mushkil hoga. Kuch log waqt se hi apna sabak seekhte hain. Par agar aapke pass unko apni galtiyoon ka ehsaas karane ka koi idea hai to main aapka saath zaroor doongi."

Payal always understood and backed him up in every situation. She was a true sister. Talking to her always made rahul feel that his burden gets lessened. Rest of the way payal shared her funny incidents from her college to lighten the mood.

Soon they arrived at the studio, twinkle was trying to work out the fine details about the album cause rahul hated any mistakes or insincerity regarding his music. He rehearsed the songs that he had finalized for the concert with his chorus teams. Payal studied the old albums and concerts information about how they were planned, executed and promoted.

Payal had an idea but the problem was that they did not have time now to make any changes at last moment. She still talked to rahul about it. Rahul loved the idea as it will certainly give the depth and enhanced experience about his concert. Certainly a new level will be achieved but how will they get it done in time.

Twinkle~ "Sir, if you permit, I can call a friend of mine that handles such performances. If she and her team is in town, she will certainly come."

Rahul~ "Ok, you make some calls and let payal help you too. She is the one who came up with this idea."

Twinkle~ "Sure sir. Come payal." As she dialed to her contacts.

Rahul~ "I hope twinkle can get her friend to help. This will be great for the special performance too."

The idea was good and trying to put it into action on last minute would be really close call. Everyone got so busy as soon as twinkle got the confirmation from one of her friend. Twinkle's friend could send a team of six people who were professionals in what they do. They will be arriving tomorrow morning so twinkle has to make all the preparations; place for them to stay, new stage props, dresses, make-up, and everything else. Also she will need to update the venue manager with these new changes that were decided.

Payal and twinkle took the charge of personally making sure that every preparation is done without any error. As soon as they were free, they both left to see the hotel reservations for the new team and after that they will visit the venue to help with the preparations there.

Rahul finished his rehearsals with his chorus team and returned home. It was already evening by the time he finished his work at the studio. When he entered his room, he saw that Maanvi was arranging the clean clothes in cupboard that Chotu just brought in few minutes ago.

Maanvi~ "How were your rehearsals?" she said without looking up from her task.

Rahul put down his bag on the stand and lay down on his bed.

Maanvi~ "That tiring? Let me get you some coffee the way you like it." And she left to make some coffee for him.

Rahul wondered how everything is going with payal and twinkle. "I hope they can get it done easily. Too bad I couldn't be much help to them; afterall, it was my call to go ahead with the last moment changes."

Soon maanvi came back with a tray of coffee. She served him some hot coffee then left again to check up with the dinner preparations. After he finished his coffee and took the tray back to kitchen. This was the first time he noticed that maanvi looked tired and weary.

Rahul~ "Maanvi, are you ok? Tumhari tabiyat theek nahi lag rahi hai." His voice clearly showed his concern.

Maanvi~ "I m perfectly fine rahul. Just tired is all. Little rest will be good."

Rahul~ "Then go ahead and take rest. Do not over work youself. Chotu will handle the dinner preparations." He insisted.

Maanvi looked up at him. She knew he won't let her stay in kitchen so she started to walk towards their room, just then she felt little dizzy. Rahul immidiatly rushed to support her.

Rahul~ "Tum bilkul bhi apna khayal nahi rakhti ho maanvi..." his concern deepened.

Maanvi~ "I m ok rahul..." but before she could finish her sentence she felt same dizziness again.

Rahul~ "Kyun itna kaam karti ho maanvi. Sabka khayal rakhti ho khud ko chod kar." He held her firmly.

Maanvi took a few steps with rahul's support and then fainted.

Rahul overwhelmed with concern "Maanvi! Maanvi!!..." tried to wake her up but she remained unconscious. He lifted her in his arms and carried her to their room. "Dadi! Mom!..." he called out.

Once reached his room, he gently put maanvi on the bed and his hands dialed the doctor's contact with lightening speed.

Dadi ji and Sonali appeared at the door, saw maanvi and immediately enquired what happened. Dadi ji and Sonali sat next to maanvi.

Dadi ji~ "Maanvi puttar... kya hua. Hosh mein aa puttar...!"

Sonali~ "Kya hua maanvi ko? Thodi der pehle to theek thi!"

Rahul quickly narrates everything to doctor on the phone. Doctor replied that she will come right away and disconnected the call.

Rahul~ "Dadi, mom... wo maanvi... wo kitchen mein thi... achanak behosh ho gayi..." he could barely speak.

Dadi ji~ "Tu pareshan na ho puttar. Tum ne doctor ko bulaya hai na. Maanvi theek ho jayegi."

Rahul paced in the room anxiously as Sonali and Dadi ji caressed for maanvi.

Nisha and Avanti were sitting in nisha's room, plotting on their own on how to saperate maanvi and rahul.

Avanti~ "Uss payal ka bhi kuch karna padega. Uss ne mujhe rahul se dur rehne ko kaha. Wo hoti kaun hain mere aur rahul ke beech mein padne wali."

Nisha~ "Jab se payal ghar mein aayi hai, tab se meri aur Shaleen ki bhi importance kam ho gayi hai. Jisko dekho ya to rahul ya payal ka naam gaata rehta hai. I m telling you Avanti, payal ki wajah se uss maanvi ko bhi iss ghar mein aur jyada importance milne lagi hai."

Avanti~ "Tumne mujhe bataya tha ki payal ko raj uncle ne shaleen aur rahul ki new albums ko promote karne ke liye plan karne ko kaha hai, right? Agar wo yeh plan complete hi na kar paye to? Uss ke liye tumko payal ko best friend banana padega. Payal ko time hi mat do ki wo iss assignment ko plan kar paye. Aur jab payal busy hogi, tab main aur Shaleen iss assignment ko plan karenge. Assignment mujhe mil jayega jis se Shaleen ka benefit to hoga hi, main bhi rahul ke saath jyada time spend kar paungi. Aur apne aap payal aur rahul ki image iss ghar mein kam ho jayegi kyun ki payal ko yeh assignment rahul ki wajah se mila tha."

Nisha~ "Not bad Avanti. It's a nice idea! Bina rahul aur payal ke support ke, bichari maanvi bhi kab tak iss ghar mein importance rakh payegi."

They were congratulating themselves for such a great idea unaware of the commotion that was happening in the house.

Sonali calls payal about maanvi's health. Payal immediately informs that she is passing by the hospital so she will bring the doctor with her.

Soon payal and sabarwal's family doctor Mrs. Rajni Singh arrives at the sabarwal mansion. Chotu leads them straight to rahul's room.

Without any delay Dr. Singh checks up maanvi. She asked a few questions once a while like
"...when was last time she felt dizzy or weakness?"
"...What did she eat in past 24 hours?"
"...Did she take any medication in past 24 hours?"

Sonali, Dadi ji and rahul answered these questions best to their knowledge. After careful observations, doctor announced the good news:

"There is nothing to be worried about. Mrs. Sabarwal is pregnant. I will need her to come to the hospital for some general check ups and other basic information. Nausea and dizziness is common at initial phase, and with careful diet and proper care, it will pass off."

The news was nothing less than a blessing. Everyone in the room was overjoyed.

Rahul~ "Par maanvi..." still concerned about unconscious maanvi.

Dr. Singh~ "Don't worry Mr. Rahul, she will wake up soon. And here are some medicines and supplements I have written down for her. Make sure she takes them on time and this is a dietary broucher that mentions most basic things that you need to take care of." Handing down a prescription letter and a booklet.

Payal offers to escort the doctor back to the hospital. Dadi ji takes Chotu to get something for maanvi to eat when she wakes up. Sonali takes the prescription and asks one of the servants to bring the medicines.

Rahul was left alone with maanvi. He sat next to her, took her hand in his hand, and caressed her. He gently kissed her on the forehead and maanvi slowly opened her eyes. She noticed herself on the bed, rahul caressing her.

Maanvi~ "Main yahan kaise aayi?" trying to sit up. Her head still spinning a little.

Rahul helped her sit up as he kept staring at her.

Maanvi~ "Aise kyun dekh rahe ho?" she realized that she had fainted in the kitchen and rahul must have carried her back to the room. "Main theek hoon rahul, tum pareshan mat ho." She tried to convince him thinking that he is worried for her.

Rahul~ "Maanvi..." he paused for a moment "Aaj jo tumne mujhe khushi di hai... Main duniya ka sabse khush kismet insaan hoon." He brushed her hairs away from her face.

Maanvi was confused what he was talking about. Just then Dadi ji and Sonali came in to check up on maanvi. Chotu carried a tray of fruits, fresh juice, and some light snacks for maanvi behind them.

Dadi ji~ "Are puttar, tennu hosh aa gaya. Pata hai rahul kinna pareshan ho gaya tha? Par aaj to tum ne khushi di hain na... kissi ki nazar na lage tum dono ko." She did the gesture to keep all bad influence away from rahul-maanvi.

Poor maanvi remained clueless what everyone was talking about, until Sonali sat next to maanvi, kissed her forehead and informed her that she is pregnant. Chotu congratulated her as well. Soon payal also joined them and servant brought the medicines that doctor prescribed.

Too Good. So the stork has visited your FF also? But please no miscarriage here...Please please pretty please?
