Anita Hassanandani has a Plan B to bank on: Turns bag designer
Anita Hassanandani is thrilled about her upcoming birthday. She turns 35 on April 14, and her husband, Rohit Reddy, has bought shares of an online start-up as a gift for her. The portal will sell a variety of bags, and Anita has decided to design a few of them. "I am excited to be part of this business venture. Rohit feels I have good taste, and this venture should work for the both of us," says the actor, adding, "This was an unexpected gift. I am very happy about it."
Anita, who has been part of the television industry for the past 17 years, knows that being financially secure is a must. Therefore, she feels that designing and launching her own line of signature bags for women is a good business decision. "The entertainment industry isn't secure. If you fail to make a mark, you might not get good work later. So, it is important for every actor to have a plan B to bank on. Here, nothing lasts forever. That's why my husband pushes me to do different things in life," says the actor, whose mother was also a fashion designer.
Anita has a personal handbag collection of over 60 pieces. "I get bored of carrying the same bag often. So, I end up buying more," she says. The actor also loves celebrating birthdays, and "reminding people" that her birthday is close. "Rohit and I give surprises to each other on our birthdays, and I am sure he has something special lined up for me this year too," says Anita, recalling that Rohit took her to Udaipur (Rajasthan) for her birthday last year.
