The other day i saw a pic of these two from the jashn days. Off screen as themselves, casually dressed. Even then to see them in the same frame, I don't know what it is, hard to explain really.
Someone please make a scorching romance with these two😆

really inexplicabe jodi stuff they have. and yes a scorching romance with these two might be not such a bad thing. 😆

honestly as this web series teasing and prodding campaign gets going, i am just not prepared to see him with the other girl. somehow she just doesn't feel right with him.

understanding arnav

whenever i think of the movie sequence, the "i don't think you understand me" scene comes to mind. gets me, every time, like those tears of khushi. there's such a sharp note of reality there and a story. of course, that vibe between barun and sanaya which makes it more than television, more than real, just somehow more.

arnav singh raizada is a complicated man. khushi has her own complexities. a terrific attraction takes hold of both of them and they find it impossible to be without each other, from kiddish clashes to roiling antagonism, to heartbreak and hell, to submission,
they've been through the agony and ecstasy of this emotion they feel.

it's been an extraordinary time in their lives. and a connection has been made that shan't be broken by the tosses and turmoils of existence.

but still... they haven't had time to get to really know each other...

means a lot in relationships.



sometimes you never understand. sometimes you do... a bit. perhaps even a lot... whether you get there or not, in most ties that last, most lovers... seek it. perhaps second it is only to that feeling of love. the need to be understood; for who you are, you... the specific human being.

sometimes you don't understand, but you love. and one just might have the strength to accept it for what it is. valuing love above all else.

but yet, don't you wish to be understood? for someone who will understand?

asr can't say things, he feels them, he holds in him a dard with no limits and a pyaar even more limitless... does he want khushi to give him what no one ever really has... not because they didn't want to? but because they couldn't?

does he wish this for himself? a girl.. no, khushi... who understands?

i can't say i liked the movie scene. it's typical soap fare. and takes away from both khushi and asr.

but this scene, which comes as a result of that... i feel it.

this sort of thing does indeed happen. little things that irritate, reach below the surface, touch unknown places, then set off major fights. khushi didn't mean to ignore him, but she ended up doing just that, and she being who she is, got terribly involved with the moment and he being who he is seethed with rage but i guess he didn't know how to say it to her for maybe it all seemed too paltry to start a fight over.


but then she guessed he was naraaz... though why, again completely escaped her. lovely little interlude.

i know you're mad at me. it's because of this. he has no idea what to say. oh, it isn't? then it must be this. he is losing it. then, could it be because mami ji was singing in the car? but then i do too... why should it-

he must grab her by the arms then, swing her around and say what he has to.

ah... understanding.



i had hoped the issue of getting to know each other... becoming even more deeply embedded in each other would be the tone of story vis a vis asr and khushi's relationship.

maybe it was just a throwaway line the dialogue writer wrote to have asr say something contemporary sounding in his language... english. but it entered my thoughts and made me want to see things.

she went to make up for her not understanding... and again a sequence i can't even begin to understand how it found its way into ipk.

but then again came a sweet pagal note of asr khushi pyaar.



smoothly say, "arnav..."

haltingly reply, "arnav... jihhh..."

crisply insist, "ar-nav!"

confusedly mumble, "arnav... jih!"

throw a googly, but huskily mind you, "arnav ji!"

reply without thinking, voice a little breathy, "arnav-"

cock your head and go, "what?" (remember to do the "w" with that dilli amriki twang).



she called him "arnav."

he seemed to melt. oh he liked the thought of her coming to "manao" him. yeah, her way was bizarre, but the message thrills him, even if not the medium. he wants her to get him, pamper him, love him to bits... while he does his gussa, dimaag, derby, get out, shut up... he wants his ajeeb girl to be as smitten and loopy as he is about her.


she said it sweetly, shyly, eagerly, and rushed into his arms.

great love stories are possibly written in moments, not in all the twenty minutes of an episode.




and teehee are we all ready for khushi in skirt who will do english mein baatein?

yes, arnav ji.

Ha ha. Thanks Rhea. It's been a long time since I wrote the first one. Now that Shyam doesn't come back after this, BSB #9 can be considered as the last one in the series. 😊 It was fun making him run all the time 😃

Really they changed the sad rabba ve? In my downloaded version I still have that jarring sad song in such a lovely moment.. and hotstar has decided to not work for "my region".. haha its as whimsical as mami.. but if its working in "your region" and deleting unwanted songs then I need to steal a milkman's scooter and put on my lehenga and running shoes and reach "that region" .. and while I am running hope I loose my way and fall into the unflinching arms of dark eyed stranger..

here's one possible reason for switching ganas.

the first time sex scene was devised while jainesh was the lead writer. given his penchant for trp oriented unnecessary and pretty crass drama... the whole dadi and remarriage jamboree came with him... he was possibly viewed as trp fixer at that point. anyway, i can't see someone like him letting a beautiful thing happen without marring it with melodrama.

he would "milk" 348's sublime joy and have us weeping for the next 348 episodes.

so, i am now pretty sure, the initial plan was to have asr not reach the mandap...

either he just will ditch her and rush off to soem unknown hell.

or yes, there's always an accident one can work in, that will stop him. throw in some amnesia... then have the "heartbreak advantage" of khushi pregnant (but of course, achchi ladki imperative i'd say), asr lost...their child, a wonderful little boy, just like asr growing up and then one fine day a la age old shakuntala dushyant template, the great recognition of progeny and togetherness... bliss.

gah.

did i just write that.

anyway, i keep hearing they were majorly researching if asr khushi "separation" would work... thankfully someone realised, no way... and possibly...

and here's the twist (must have one)...

they suddenly axed jainesh and got ved raj back.

353 is ved raj's while 352 is jainesh's... as lead writer. gh and dialogue guys remain the same.

ved raj managed to get asr back... show tremendous growth of character, and gave our palpitations a bit of rest, though as sop to faith in unnecessary drama, had shyam installing camera again. i guess they thought let all the silliness continue, but save the main theme... i think this is some sort of chess thinking too, sacrifice the pawns but save the ranisahiba.

when they were airing, there was possibly no time to change the music... or who knows, till 351, the final decision hadn't been taken.

whatever it is... by the time we came to hotstar, someone must have said, that most viewed 348 has a sad song not quite supported by story, so they changed it. in their usual unburdened by love way.

i am so grateful they never showed asr abandoning khushi.

and whoever wrote that, "by bringing me all the way here you answered all my questions," was masterly at not only rescuing, but turning near disaster into a great opportunity.

ved raj has written several things that i can't even imagine any sane thinking person could have... yet, ipk somehow brought out the best in everyone involved. there was a junoon in its makers, as if everyone had some other kind of love for it.



@ pink yes indi.. exactly...the junoon was felt in every frame..

@green: did you just write that.. you turned ekta writer from asr writer?... nahin...😆


I agree with your theory to a large extent.. Jainesh vs Vedraj.. yes separation was always on cards that time until it was changed just in the last min.. the efforts to boost trp.. everyone from akshay to abhas to karan tweeting and encouraging fans to watch that Sept 22-27 remarriage week.. keeping us on toes abt whats coming..

but thankfully he came to the mandap. great character growth as you rightly said reflecting in that line..
but i expected/ would have liked some rift regarding Garima that would have been natural..great.. guess they were busy wrapping up asr's character by time already, so no new layers to the character...

I didn't mind the happy rabba ve change actually..becos its is NOT in your face as if dragging attention away from the two people there unlike the sad female one with that jarring high end notes..

I am sure they changed it to please fans.. there were many requests that time for it...IPK remains one show for, by, of fans.. thankfully. SP may have regretted initially to call off a show or to make changes but then may have been bloated happy to get all the intl attention..

Also, Raju singh would only give a pool of BG pieces.. and its upto the creative editor/ director which one to use when.. there was Megha initially, she was very close to the cast, barun mentioned her many times, she made detailed efforts, which FB or which BG score to use exactly when .. that made hell of a difference.. once she is gone.. no one to caress the love story the way it deserved.. I am sure the sad rabba ve was one of the grating outcomes of it.

I understand why you preferred sad rabba ve..
Happy one is just no nonsense and sat quietly there, so suited better I felt..😊

that May 1st week, when she was all shocked left alone behind,and he turned back in anger in that white shirt ... in slow motion..on that laxmi nagar terrace.. and a voice came along "kyon khwabon pe tere sayee hain"..i vividly remember getting affixed to my couch.. I may have never heard anything as touching.. and melancholic..

why I recall this.. I wouldn't have mind had it been the male low note version vs the female one...

If movie gana.. since bahon ke darmiyaan is overused in telly i guess.. sansoon ko saanso me dhal ne do zara would have been a nice choice for me.. since "nasha" already got into head 10 months earlier that ..
but i am glad they didn't use any filmi ganaa...one thing in IPK i always loved is no deluge of filmi ganas.. altho a heavy romantic tale.. it has its "own" music... as a fan I am proud of it..😊
