So i was thinking about this a lot after that intense and amazingly acted out scene between Leela and Anita yesterday. The pathos and utter defeat that Leela is facing right now is only one moment in the long standing war between the Tanejas and the Luthras. But it wasn't always like this, was it?
This feud can be traced back into a single moment in time when Anita's husband made unwelcome and cheap advances towards Leela. Anita made it her mission in life to ruin the Tanja's only because she believed that her husband would never be interested in another woman, especially since Anita thinks herself to be a beautiful woman. Why then would her husband stray was the argument that ran in her mind against Leela's accusations.
But what if Anita found concrete proof that her husband was the faithful man she thinks him to be? I honestly believe that this is the best punishment for her. For Anitha to find irrefutable proof that her husband was actually a sexual predator who took advantage of many woman through his position as a physician and all the years she waged war to defend his honor were for naught.
Lets take this a step further, maybe he even conceived a child with one of these women. Someone who looks just like Yuvraj (okay this would also open up a possibility for Zain doing a double role and I for one am all about seeing Zain explore this character). Maybe this son, comes to Amritsar looking for family or maybe out of sheer coincidence. And unlike Yuvraj and Anitha's relationship this son (Yuvi II) had a wonderful relationship with his mother, was raised to be a good human being and essentially knows the truth about his father's character. He has no agenda for revenge because he thinks that Anitha's husband was a criminal who deserved what happened to him, and is in fact apologetic to Leela and Twinkle because he thinks that their life was ruined because of his father's depraved actions and his own mother's lack of courage at the time to come forwards and confirm Leela's accusations. Anita might be emotionally broken and defeated much like Leela was in the previous episode and seeing his mother in such a state might fuel Yuvi further into his madness and obsession with Twinkle and revenge. This might even take a more new route for the show.
Let me know what you all think. š
