Sonam paired with Abhishek

Even as the Rang De Basanti director prepares to start his next project the autobiogrpahical Delhi 6 he also has plans for what could possibly be the most ambitious and formidable casting coup of the decade.

Rakeysh is planning to cast Abhishek Bachchan with Sonam Kapoor, the debutante of Saawariya.

Reports have it that Sonam and her dad Anil Kapoor sat for a script-hearing session and they liked the subject. Anil apparently gave his go-ahead to Sonam for the film.

However, she is yet to sign on the dotted line.

This augurs very well for Sonam's acting career. She has already worked with one of the best Bollywood directors in her first film. Now, she is set to be directed by the man who gave us Rang De Basanti.
