Chapter 21

Their heartbeats raised, rahul put his hand on maanvi's cheeks, sliding into her hairs, pulled her closer. His other hand went around her while maanvi kept her one hand on his cheeks and put her other hand on his heart. It was a gentle peck on the lips.

Staying away from each other had only fueled their desire to be with each other. This time they gave in to a passionate kiss, wanting more. The night will be estatic and pure heaven, much easier than the first time they made love.

They didn't realise how long they had been together, but it looked still dark outside the window. Maanvi looked up at him, and she noticed how they were lying together; fingers intertwined with his, and their hands resting on his chest, his other hand around her, while her other hand was from under his arm and held him from his shoulder, sheets covering them up.

What happened last night was vague for her, only the memories of what they felt were strong. She turned around to look for her clothes; they were lying on the armrest of the sofa along with his. Maanvi will need to get back to payal's room before she wakes up or she will cause more trouble for them. But it's still dark, and she didn't want to leave just yet.

"Maybe after a little while..." she thought as she firmed her grip, rahul firmed his grip as well in response in his sleep. Their sweet dreams welcomed them again.

Soon the sun rose, light filtered through the curtains, brightened the room. Rahul was first to wake up this time. First thing he noticed was how they had held each other firmly. Then he realized that they will be in trouble if payal found out that they didn't follow her punishment. He slowly nudges maanvi on her cheeks to wake her up but she was deep in sleep.

He called her name but she was still sleeping. Something came into his mind. He smiled and slowly kissed her on her lips which she responded to. When he broke off to take a breath, maanvi slowly opened her eyes, smiled at him and said "Good Morning."

He replied with smile and said "Good Morning Maanvi."

Maanvi turned her head to look around and realized that they have overslept. She got up, got dressed, and as she was about to get to the door and open it, payal came in.

Rahul pulled the sheet all the way up to cover himself completely. He could only swear under his breath "O oh! Oh no! Oh s***" Payal saw maanvi and rahul. She knew instantly what had happened last night. Her plan has worked wonderfully to bring them close but she needed to still stick with it so they don't figure it out that she was just messing with them.

Payal faked anger and left the room without a word. Rahul and maanvi knew that they will hear about it soon enough. As payal reached down the stairs, she saw Nikhil all getting ready and pumped up for party. Nikhil's exams had just ended few days before so now he can enjoy the party.

Thinking something, payal goes to Nikhil and shares her plans with him. As he hears the plan, his smile grows wider. Nikhil added "Bhai ko pata chala ki main aapke saath mil kar unki tang khich raha hoon to mujhe chodenge nahi."

Payal~ "Tum tension mat lo, main hoon na. Mere aage tere bhai ki kabhi chali hai aaj tak jo ab chalegi? I will handle him."

Nikhil~ "Wo purani baat thi payal di, jabse maanvi bhabhi aayi hai na tabse rahul bhai badal gaye hain. Bhabhi ke liye to rahul bhai kisi ki bhi band baja denge. Dekh lena."

Payal thinks for a moment "Lagi bet? Tere bhai ki hum tang bhi khichenge aur wo kuch bhi nahi kar payenge."

Nikhil~ "Itna confidence? Theek hai, lag jaye bet. Main jeeta to parsoon aap mujhko rahul bhai ke concert mein le kar jayengi! Aur agar aap jeet gayi, to jo aap bologi wo main karoonga. Deal?"

Payal~ "Acha bachoo? Mujhse hoshiyari? Yeh plan itni jaldi to complete hoga nahi ki tum bet jeet jao."

Nikhil~ "Aaj holi hai. Kisi bhi keemat par aaj aap apne plan ko continue rakh hi nahi payengi. Party ke end hone se pehle aapke plan ko the end' lag janaa hai."

Payal thought about it and had to agree. Nikhil was right; no way will her act of giving them punishment is going to last long. Either she will need to improvise or make new plan. For now they know what they want to do.

Nisha came down all dressed up and saw the party arrangements. At first look they were flawless, but how can Nisha swallow the insult that she was told to ask payal about how to make preparations. First rahul was the only thorn in Nisha and shaleen's life, then maanvi came into the sabarwal mansion and now payal...

Nisha thought maybe she should make some changes around but that might mean she could also get caught if someone saw her. Then she thought why not let Avanti do it, who will be joining them shortly. With that thought, Nisha calls her friend Avanti to find out when she will get here.

Avanti informed that she has just left from her home, so she will arrive in about an hour. Nisha decides to observe the preparations and convince Shaleen to join the party as well. It is necessary for Shaleen to play his role as ideal son to raj in front of everyone as it is important for him if he needs to set up himself as a singer in front of the whole world.

Soon raj, Sonali, Dada ji and Dadi ji joined in the hall. They all admired the efforts from payal for such flawless preparations. Raj spotted payal and informed her that last night during the conversation with sponsorers, he also invited them to the party today.

Payal assured him that she has ensured that there is no mistake with anything and food and drinks will be well above sufficient for any extra guests they will get. Raj feels that sponsorers will be quite impressed with her already.

Rahul and maanvi haven't arrived yet, payal was feeling restless cause her next step depends on them coming down to the hall. She said to herself "I guess I will have to go and get them myself. Guess Nikhil will win this bet and I will be stuck into getting him to the concert." She sighed.

As soon as payal took a step towards the stairs, maanvi and rahul appeared at the top of the flight of staircase. Payal quickly changed her face expression to best show her fake anger at them. Just then Avanti makes her entry in the sabarwal mansion. Her eyes searching for rahul and for sure they spotted him with maanvi.

Rahul and maanvi decended the stairs like a prince and a princess of some far away land. Rahul wore a nice white suit comprised of a light blue shirt, white coat and pants. Maanvi looked gorgeous in white saree with navy blue-silver border.

Seeing them so close with matching outfits, Dadi-Dada ji, Sonali, payal and nikhil seemed impressed, raj remained indifferent towards maanvi but loved rahul's style, Shaleen and Nisha were annoyed with all attention given to them, Avanti burned with anguish.

Raj approached to rahul and told him what a lovely super-star like entry he has made. Rahul tried to ignore him but he saw maanvi looking towards him, rahul replied in a plain thanks. Dadi-Dada ji and Sonali admired them. Payal and Nikhil pulled them away from everyone before starting to put the plan into action.

Payal~ "You two look fabulous today. But that won't save you from my punishment. Rahul bhai, you have your old buddies to spend your time with and Nikhil will make sure that you stay away from maanvi. Maanvi bhabhi will be spending time with rest of the family and my old friends that I have invited here today. You had your fill anyway with each other for today." She taunted trying to hint about the morning.

Nikhil~ "Absolutely right di, this way I can also get my share of time rahul bhai has skipped in past few weeks. Before maanvi bhabhi came in his life, he would give me full attention and now... he barely even comes to see me." He made a sad face.

Rahul stared at Nikhil "Bahuat bolna aa raha hai aaj tujhe. Ruk ja tu, batata hoon main tujhe. Bahar chal tu..." he caught nikhil's ears and threatened him. Nikhil managed to slip from his grip and ran outside, rahul chasing him.

Maanvi and payal shared a laugh. Payal asked maanvi to join her and her friends outside for festival, maanvi wished if rahul be the one to put colors on her first but she didn't had a chance to talk to him about it.

Everyone was busy with their friends group except Avanti who was stalking rahul from a distance. The color play will be beginning shortly, as soon as everyone gets done with formal welcome. Rahul may have been with his friends but his mind was fully focused on maanvi. He slowly sneaks past his friends with an excuse to see his mom for something, and went next to the tent were payal and her friends were there.

Rahul was able to spot maanvi easily; he picked some red color from the table and hid near the snacks counter. Maanvi was feeling awkward among strangers so she excused herself to get some juice from the counter. Maanvi picked a glass of juice and when she turned around, rahul was standing in front of her.

They shared an eye lock before rahul slowly applied red color to maanvi wishing happy holi. Maanvi smiled and asked "Tumhe kaise pata chala?"

Rahul~ "Kya main apni biwi ko itna bhi nahi jaanta ki usko kya chahiye?"

Maanvi~ "Acha ji?"

Rahul~ "Haan ji."

Maanvi took some color from rahul's hands and applied to him wishing him a happy holi. They stole few more moments together alone then parted off again before payal or Nikhil discovers them. In their romance they completely forgot that they have applied color to each other which is a sure giveaway of their time together.

When maanvi reached back to payal's group, payal straight away pointed how she got color on her face and there was no way she could convince that the color didn't come from rahul. Payal wanted to comment but Sonali and dadi ji called maanvi to meet with some other guests.

As rahul was returning to his friends, Avanti jumped in "Hi rahul. Kya baat hai tum mujhe ignore kar rahe ho? Tab se dekh rahi hoon ki tum sabse milne gaye par mujhe ek baar bhi nahi dekha tumne. Apni best friend ko aise treat karta hai kya koi!?" she complained.

Rahul~ "Sorry Avanti, wo ghar mein itne saare guest hain, sabko attend karna easy nahi hai..."

She cuts him in middle of his sentence "Right! To ab main guest ho gayi. Mujhe to laga tha ki main bhi iss ghar ki family member jaisi hoon. Thanks for reminding me rahul that I m only a guest!" she faked anger.

Before rahul could reply, his friends pulled him away to start the festivities. Avanti was left behind calling his name out, but in vain.

Colors were flying around and everyone now looked colorful. Rahul's friend asked what is special this time. They were told that there will be special event today. A minute later, payal was holding mic calling for everyone's attention and to clear the suspense about the special event.

Payal~ "Welcome all! I think everyone is eager to find today's special event. It's a sabarwal's party so what is fun without some singing and dancing!... Let us not keep more suspense and call upon the teams of boys, gents, girls and ladies on the floor and bring life to this party!"

Crowd cheered as DJ played song "Do me a favour, let's play holi" and Payal Nikhil were first ones to rock the stage. Soon their friends started joining them as well.

Dada ji - Dadi ji joined the stage on song "Holi khele raghuvera" and whole party turned lively from their cute dance moves. Shaleen requested DJ to play "balam pitchkari" on which Shaleen, Nisha, Raj and Sonali all four danced so good that it was the one of the best performance till now.
