and to answer your question he's not pretending he's just sad mad like any other person who got cheated by the person they love. and just like siddy said when sharddha mentioned some marriage truth it mustve clicked to him since only he and maa knew about it.

what i think is

Bihaan is 70% hurt because thapki gave him false hope where he was thinking of starting a new life with her.

Bihaan is 30% angry because she said about his maa as he loves his dearly.

so you see bihaan is not pretending he just very frustrated, upset, mad all at once.
