I don't know why, but from looking at their interviews I don't think sid feels jasmine fits his type. Yes he says they are good friends who understand one another and know how to overlook each other's flaws to work together and create great on screen chemistry, but that doesn't mean they feel they would view each other as being suitable as their partner. Sid has mentioned that he and jasmine are quite opposite to one another especially in terms of temperament. Maybe that is an indication that he prefers girl who are less short tempered or have a more calm nature. I don't know, obviously I ship them but I doubt them being a real couple.
I get the feeling too whenever the journalist asks them questions in terms of going past friendship and wha they see in their ideal partner. He seems to like someone who is spontaneous and really up for an adventure while Jasmine seems sophisticated yet laid back and really looks for humor.
Whatever they do in personal time is really up to them and we should respect that.
