When fiction met fact.

Yesterday, it was a traumatic day for all Balivadhu watchers and fans. Balikavadhu is at the cross roads. Some characters are dying. Some are in a dilemma. There are whispers about the show coming to an end.

Why this sudden storm is happening? Why the hospital is being attacked? Why dadisa has to witness all this before dying? Why dark clouds are still hovering over?

On the other hand our beloved Pratyusha and her tragic exit. What a bolt from the blue! Yesterday it was a fun day. according to our calender. Fooling everyone with clever tricks. But fate played on us the crullest joke. First we could not believe it and as every news channel started telecasting the news, we were forced to believe. Hindi channels showed footage of the actress but almost all of the english channels felt it is below their dignity to show footage of a mere hindi tv persona. They will telecast only about hollywood trash and bollywood trash. Our Pratyusha is not a great bollywood star though she had the potential to be one.. But for avid viewers of BV, she struck a chord as the pretty, petite anandi who captured our imagination as the simple rajasthani girl whose relationships and equations with every other character became the most discussed subject. Everyone loved or hated her but none was indifferent.
And Pratyusha did full justice to her role as long as she was there. Many left watching the show when she left the show. Such was her impact.

With a heavy heart,

Leaves,
somewhere I was thinking on same lines. I mean, I haven't watched BV for last 4-5 episodes because I didn't want to after reading the spoilers. Primarily because BV is not showing light-hearted fun-filled scenes, but is only showing added and unbearable tension in the name of drama.

The show has to come to an end one day, but can't it end on a happy note? Does everyone have to die and leave the attached audience felling gloomy and discontented? Every character, whether it is Anandi or Mangala or others have had the worst possible fate in the show.

We watch TV to get entertained with some amount of drama, not to bear additional burden.

A virtual walk around this forum is even gloomier because we are all fighting, and why so? Because somewhere every viewer is left discontented. Whether they are actor fans, story fans, loyal BV lovers or character fans. Every viewer had some strong expectation from the show which has not been met. And hence the disappointment, which gets aired out in different formats.

To top this, we get to hear about the cruel exit of Pratyusha in real life.
Her success and personna would have been the reason for many real life young people to be aspired from, but here she leaves a very disturbed feeling in the hearts of those who admired her or were being aspired from her.

I just wish, if there were more news of happiness, and inspiration then just sadness and disappointments. Both in virtual and real world.

I just hope we can spread more happiness and lightness around then just fighting over petty issues.

I am highly disappointed with CVs for not giving us any moments to cherish and enjoy. And somewhere I am also disappointed in Pratyusha for leaving us feeling so shocked and unhappy.

While I don't know what forced her to take her life and what were her levels of pain, but since she is someone I truly admired, I expected her to brave and strong and to fight the odds of her life like Anandi does. And not take away her own life.

I wish she had continued with the beautiful life God had given her. She had all the name, fame, beauty, talent and brains, one can ask for. She had so much potential to inspire others through her own real life example. Why did she have to end it all?

May her soul rest in peace.

She will always stay with us for years to come. Maybe our next generations won't know who she was or was just another actress who committed suicide, but for us she will always be remembered as Anandi, as the girl who had all the difficulties in her life but knew how to fight them. She said she is like Anandi but Anandi would never do that, so why did you do it ?.. You have created holes in your fans lives. You'll be missed.
May you rest in peace Pratyusha.

Yes, she had everything that many young girls dream of. She achieved so much in her short life, gathered so many admirers. I know of some of the blogs dedicated purely to her.

The reason maybe depression, a feeling of emptiness. We all feel like that on some occasions but we try to become cheerful by talking to someone close to us or immersing ourselves in work or trying to help someone who is less fortunate than us. There are so many ways to overcome momentary helplessness. Just thinking tomorrow maybe a better day. Visting friends or inviting them. Planning for the future. Or having a pet to care for.

BV has given us some of the most memorable characters like Anandi, Jagya, Dadisa, Shiv, Ganga, Shyam, Bhairon, Sumitra and Jhalrawasis. And many more. I am glad to have been part of this forum, walking with the characters and forum members on a daily basis, forgetting my own problems for a while.
An escape route.

Just one thought. After playing a character like Anandi, how could she think of ending her life?

Behind every smiling face, there maybe some hidden sorrows. Dark shadows looming long.

Why youngsters dont think of the pain caused to their parents when they take these decisions?

The glamour world has a dark underbelly. As we saw in many movies like Heroine, Fashion, Kagaz ke Phool. Pyaasa etc. A sparkling bubble one moment and nothing the next moment.

As for the fights in the forum I stopped taking them seriously. It looks rather childish after a time. All are friends but with different perspectives. I try to respect their views and try to look things from their point of view.

Last night I came over to the forum after I was done with watching BV and Udaan.
Then I saw this horrifying news about Pratyusha. I thought it was a cruel joke being played on the occasion of fool's day so got the news from the Net as well as TV channels. It was all over the place including English news channels like NDTV and IBN.

After that I was too disturbed to say anything about Pratyusha. She was too young to give up on life like the way she did.I truly wish she had learnt something from the role she played for 2+years.

Coming to BV the news of BV team falling apart is another was difficult to accept too.The channels PH are killing something which they have nurtured it for so many years.

I liked the episode because the track involved happenings and irregularities in hospital administration.
It looked like a promising track for Jagya Ganga and Anandi was involved in this track for a good reason because her daughter fell ill because of fake medicines. But with all the news that is.coming in even this episode which would have been watched with anticipation to what happens next has become a disturbing episode.

why BV is ending in tragic way i dont understand.
now i m thinking BV was inspirational serial or not ?????????

see the coincident in serial Anandi character is ending and in reality actress who played anandi in past really died.

now may be makers will bring some one as balikavadhu but Anandi is Anandi.

I think instead of dragging serial they could have shown victory of truth on evil .

Such unfortunate coincidence.

On screen Anandi's character is coming to end and in real life, the girl who played Anandi once meets such tragic end

Both these things are representative of darker side of showbiz in a way.. Onscreen it is race of TRPs, whatever reasons for stretching the shows endlessly, creative differences, pressures and so many other things. In real life it is the cost one has to pay for being part of the showbiz.

It took me more than 24 hours to sink in the news and come back to senses.. Still wondering despite the mess that her life was in, wouldn't it have been possible to avoid such an extreme step..

Yes, she should have avoided it. Atleast for the sake of impressionable young girls who try to emulate their idols. For the sake of her parents. For the sake of her fans. For the sake of her beautiful face which should have given happiness to many who watched her onscreen. She should have thought about people who are born blind, who are paralysed, who face lethal diseases until the last and who think that we have only one life and not to throw away that. My message for future Pratyushas. Please take life's problems as a challenge than succumb to them. Think of your loved ones.

It's a really bizarre co-incidence.
The actress who once played Anandi chose death over life as a way to handle problems. Wish she just thought about all the people who loved her just once before she took that extreme step.Had she thought about them she would have been able to step away from that final step.
Don't know what made her feel that escaping from life is the only way left for her.
This kind of incident fills us with disillusion and disappointment. We cannot control life.

I really hope that Pratyusha found the all the peace happiness and contentment which eluded her in this world in the world she departed to.

On the other hand Anandi's character is coming to an end.For what ever reasons. At least here the writers channel have control over the way Anandi's character shapes up.
If Anandi's death is the only way to take the story forward at least make this death a worth while act.
Don't mind seeing Anandi dying while fighting for what she believed in and dying in her attempts to make the world a better place to live in. That will be at least inspiring.even if it is extremely saddening.

I really hope the creative team r what ever left of it elevates the character Anandi to the heights she deserves to reach if not in her life at least in her death. That's all I wish for Anandi.
