Irrespective of how Virat has been on the field notorious .. aggressive or the painted villain version of media , he has always stood for anushka , if not his others rumoured girlfriends. He has been protective about her . I remember how he held his hand throughout after Anushka was bashed left and right for the wrong shot that got him out vs Australia. He was shading her all throughout the time there were cameras around. No i dont believe she needs any kind of protection, but that his the man's prerogative how he is with his partner. I can relate this tweet with all his other protective actions/ways as far as anushka is concerned. This as per me was genuine.
Virat has grown from what he was in 2013 to what he is now. He was young then 24 years of age. We all grow year after year. He has mellowed down a lot in the span of this one year even on field. He still gets angry , at instances, but that is one part of character that is never going to leave him. As far as it is controlled and does not land him in trouble , I am fine with it. Australian team is one of those teams that believe in complete sledging throughout the match. There are a lot many videos on the same. SOme people handle them with their bat/bowl. Some answer them back with both bat/bowl and the tongue. That is the part of the game, what happens on the field has nothing to do with their character. Noways. Infact if really want to relate the character on field , then I can also come up with the idea that the way he is all calmed down and in control , can see it with the classic shots he plays even on the yorkers, how much patient the man is. So I really don't think we can really define a character on how he is on the field.
Coming to the PR part, Yes they are responsible for how you are presented to the world, But until and unless you agree to bring that change in you , they can not be successful. What brings Virat , the endorsements is not how he behaves in front of the cameras(the supposedly projected image by his PR), but how he behaves with the balls. The more they are off the boundary , the more he is endorsed , ofcourse with the increase in the hefty amount he gets😛😛. For players it mostly depends on their performances. Also the guy has been much famous even before his PR started creating a positive image( as said by many of the fellow members) a bigger name than his actor girlfriend. Till the time he plays well, the endorsements will keep on coming.News will keep on coming.
However even though the tweet was written to gain sympathy , all these articles that are being planted suddenly , with all these dear friends of the lady suddenly coming up realising how much she has been torchured by the tweet, seems pretty cheap. A not needed one, leaving everything in bad taste. This is surely not needed. They dont want to stay together that is fine, but planting so many sources/friends here and there tO speak about their relationship is completely uncalled behaviour.
