PART 18
R- She is ishita iyer ,Mr viswanathan iyers daughter ,shaguns sister and my wife whom I married one year back
Every bodies eyes widened in shock .
Raman continued " haan papa ,she is ishita .you people hadn't seen or met her till now but she is a very good girl and will also be a good DIL .
Mr bhalla - I m not getting you raman ,you were one who decided to leave her after very next day of your marriage ,Even you don't give us chance to meet ,or see her and all of a sudden you are bringing some girl and saying that she is your wife and you want to live with her .
T- Raman ,we already had faced mockings of society and relatives because of your so-called marriage last year and now this .what will we answer to them if they ask that if you want same girl then why did you do that drama last time .
Mr bhalla - moreover why this girl is now with you ,after one year,if she wanted to be with you,she or her parents should have taken some steps at that time only .But neither she nor her parents ,felt it important to call and talk to us for once only.
FLASHBACK ONE YEAR AGO.
After raman dropped ishita to her house and come back to his house .
Ramanwas entering his room when his ma spotted him ,outside his room at this early hour.she walked to him but before that he entered his room ,before he can bolt his room ,she also entered the room behind him .
Toshiji was shocked to see the room ,it was messed up .All the flowers strings by which the bed was decorated were thrown in floor ,candles were also in same condition including other decorations .Toshiji searched for raman's wife but not found her anywhere .At last she asked him panicking.
T- puttar ,what's all this and where is shagun.
R- shagun nahi ma ishita (shagun not ma ishita)
T- ishita who ishita ,I have heard this name somewhere but why are you calling shagun as ishita.
R- these iyers cheated us.At first they hide from us that their daughter ran away .and secondly beside being shamefull and sorry they got me married with their other daughter .
T( recalling)- oh you are talking about that ishita,iyers younger daughter whom they were praising that she is too beautiful and talented.Also she is topper of her college .
R- haan maa that ishita only ,shagun ranaway from our marriage as she has got some important modelling contract as show stopper in London .
T- what ,when .
R- before the marriage ,but beside informing this to us ,iyers married their younger daughter ishita to me .
T- ( shockingly)- what ! That's why she was in veil all the time in marriage but why you were not letting us see her face yesterday ,did u know it earlier .
R- no maa ,they make fool of me .Her eleder sister vandu told me that shagun has got some allergy on her face which will be cure in 24 hours ,so till then no body can see shaguns face .And I like a fool trusted her .I shouldn't had trusted her ,if I had seen her face at that time only ,this crap of marriage wouldn't be happened .
Raman announced it angrily greeting his teeth's.Toshiji was also angry but she composed herself and asked " where is ishita now ".
R- I dropped her back to her house .
T( narrowing her eyes)- what do you mean by that .
R- I took her to her parents house and left there itself .
T- what ! At least you should have waited for us ,me and your papa .
R- for what ,I m firm in my decision that I don't want any other girl in my life,that to iyer ,never they are cheaters .nothing is there in this relationship.
Toshiji was in delimma .on one side being a boys mother she was angry that her son was cheated bit on the other hand being a woman she don't like the fact that her son has left his newly weded wife that to without knowledge of them .Though she felt hatred towards iyers but still she wants to give a chance to the girl as toshiji being a woman knew very well that a girl don't have her own wish ,mostly in this marriage matter.
She went to Mr bhalla and narrated everything to him .He also got angry but before breaking the relation and all the ties from iyers he wanted to talk to Mr iyer for once .
Mr bhalla called Mr iyer and also in landline also but nobody attended them as all were with appa ,he had severe heat attack that time .Bhalla family thought that iyers are ignoring them so being a boys parents bhallas also don't tried to contact iyers again .
FLASHBACK ENDS
Because of this misunderstanding bhallas and iyers never had any contact .Toshiji send all the relatives saying that Raman's wife has gone to iyer native place as some body in their close relation had died later after a month or so bhallas declare that raman's wife has gone as she was more interested in her carrier .
But the society in which they live ,mocked enough to bhallas as they had never seen Raman's wife.That's why Mr and Mrs bhalla were more angry .
Mr bhalla - why the hell she had appeared all of a sudden and you took her in your life against your father's decision .Raman once we were with you in your decision but not this time .
R- ma ,papa will you people listen to me for once .At least have some trust on me that I m your son and will do what is right .
Mr bhalla - what does that mean .
R- let me explain .
Mr bhalla - ok continue ,we have all ears .
Raman narrated all the happening of last one month from their first meeting to till he brought ishita home .The expression of bhallas changed from hatred to concern in the next moment .
T - poor girl gone through somuch in these days because of you only .
R- it was not my fault also but it was a quick decision of mine which has resulted in such a mishap.
Mr bhalla - so you are firm in your decision na raman ,this time I don't want any mess .
R- yeah ,pa this time I want to move forward in this marriage .
Mr and Mrs bhalla were happy that atlast their son is going to be settled in his life .But simmi who was silent till now asked " bhai I had a question ,are you pitying her or you seriously love her ."
Raman got mum for a while then spoke "simmi I can't say that I m madly in love with her but I like her .I feels good when I m with her ,I like to talk to her ,to tease her .I like her innocence,her nature that she is always ready to adjust with and in all the situations .I like her self respect ,she was with me for almost twenty days in my office and daily I use to give her a loads of work but she never spoke a word than she can't do them .We has some ugly fights but she never told me that she has gone through somuch and also lost her father too.its bad thing that she never mouth for her rights but it make her more beautiful inside out .simmi I don't know what this exactly is but for sure its not pity .
S- but she thought so .
I- we already had argument about it .I felt bad when I heard that but I also not insulted her by pitying her .if ishita ever wanted our mercy by showing her losses she has all a year but she never turned to us instead I was mad that I wanted to torcher her .
T- achcha enough of our argument ,call her I want to see how she looks ,her mother has praised ishita a lot .
I- ( excitedly )- yup bhai me too want to see her .
Raman called ishita many times but she didn't showed up due to fear .Raman got up from his place and went to kitchen to call her .ishita was in kitchen ,she was shivering due to fear . Though she was a scholar but for this small exam of her life she was fearing like hell .she was trying to do many things bit was not able to do any .
Ishita was making paranthas ,but was able to make a prefect one ,she was actually very confused of her emotions .she was fearing ,she was nervous ,,happy also that now everyone will know that she is Raman's legally weded wife also a lil fear that raman will stand for her against his parents .A tear rolled from her eyes on her own helplessness ,but before it can fall on the slab Raman held it in his arms and spoke " why these tears ishita ".
I( fidgeting her pallu )- what did they say .
R- come ma is calling you .
I- ( stammering)- no no I will not ,she must be angry on me .we will refuse me .
R( scooping her face in his palm)- why are you fearing somuch ,I m there na .I know you don't have trust on me but for a while just trust me and be sure that I will not break it this time .
Ishita held his hands in him and spoke " why ma had called me .
R- at first ,wipe these tears and sweat ,decorate your face a lil and come with me .
Ishita immediately washed her face ,wiped it composed her saree and walked out of the kitchen holding Raman's hand .
When they reached the hall she left his hands ,raman was heading towards the couch and she was walking slowly with baby steps behind him like scared kitten .Toshiji got up from her place and walked to ishita.ishita downcasted her eyes to floor and was waiting for her MIL remark clutching her saree tightly .Toshiji cupped her face lovingly and ordered ishita to look up .ishita slowly looked up .Toshiji noticed each and every feature of her thoroughly and spoke
" its good that shagun ranaway ,we have got more beautiful and innocent girl than her ."
She made raman stand beside ishita and admired the couple and spoke to herself admiring them " haii ,main mar jaava kinni soni jodi hai "( how beautiful this pair is).
