Do real mental patients(not the fake ones) get well in hospitals ar at home in the loving care of well wishers?

I think every second family will have a mentally disturbed person. I have seen those persons being taken care of at home itself with occasional visits to the doctors.

The mental hospital houses some of the most severe cases which will make even normal ones becoming one of them after a time. Just like in jails, a petty criminal becoming hardened criminal. If Kamli could care for Pushkar why cant she tried that for Mangala too?

Why mental hospitals always have patients doing things as if to provide laughs for C grade audience watching a B grade movie?

There was one film Khamoshi directed by Asit Sen. Rajesh Khanna, Waheeda Rehman, Dharmendra acted in it. How the caring nurse Waheeda Rehman herself becomes a mental patient in the end. I rad the story and listened to those lovely songs but could not watch it.

Patients do get treated in mental health centres as in patients.
How ever it is mandatory for the family members to stay in the hospital /ward along with the patient.
Family members are trained to handle the patient

Once the patient shows signs of improvement they are discharged and followed up with regular visits to the hospital.

Some patients need to be institunalised permanently because they can't be cured nor their problems can be controlled.

What was shown as a mental health centre and the patients with funny movements was a bit of exaggeration.

I decided to overlook that because they are trying to convey the right message about mental illness and trying to address the stigma attached to mental illness and removing misconception mental health centres.

Lovely movie. She cures Dharmendra first and he moves on with his life, Rajesh Khanna next and he too gets cured. This takes a toll on her emotional stability and in the last scene, she is taken as the patient 24. Lovely songs and in the full movie they don't show Dharmendra's face even once :) wish they show it on TV
