They're back to where they started..." Ruhi ke liye"...
Ruhi hai toh IshRa hai, warna nahi...
Surrogacy🤢...
After reading the written updates of SBS...I don't even noe how to react... They simply don't care for their audience, that is it...

Gan, I need a hug. Honestly. I don't know why I even bother with this show anymore. But it hurts and everything they do hurts - not because the show matters and I care, but because this is the media representation of our society. And as an Indian, this disgusts me because no matter how much one claims that this is just the idiot box, fact remains that it isn't. It's the first line of thought that forms views and perception among many areas and such a mass audience.

Oh, how I wish I was powerful enough to shut this show and make sure everyone of the people involved were unemployed henceforth. And how that doesn't work. So, I'll just do with a hug because real life is f**ked up.

You know what I'm terrified about? I'm terrified about not being able to conceive. Or have kids, or adopt kids given the terrible stigma and legal procedure involved. I mean, I love kids but I also do have this terrible habit of applying cases to myself and it affects me badly. And abandonment. And do you even realise how many women are abandoned because they don't conceive after a certain time period and how many of those cases aren't their fault. 50% of infertility in the US is linked to male infertility. And India, it's the woman's fault, 100%. Who cares about medicine? There are two things I hear quote often - a) She fears that he will leave her if she doesn't conceive and b) why would you like to take up someone else's sin as you own? Sadly, this is the India I live in and nothing will change, ever. Let's not even try being optimistic.

I'm not even talking about the show anymore or the characters. But yes, I hope it was worth it. Demeaning women, shattering dreams, making problems worse than they were and insulting everything they took up. I hope the money is worth it while it lasts because years from now someone is going to make them pay. Someone insignificant, who they didn't know will matter. And they're going to beg for mercy and be given none. It may be karma or whatever higher power everyone believes in. Because no amount of money is worth the discomfort, tears, loathing, self-hate and blood their show makes people who are linked to it shed. If you wanted a crap fest, you were free to make one without linking social causes and promoting the show using social causes you had no urge to take up.

And someone please make people in production or actors shut up about how influential the show is and how much betterment it does to someone else apart from their pockets... Before I decide to book a ticket to Mumbai and punch them straight in the face. Humanity be damned.

Hi Gan
Sorry I'm going to rant.

I am so mad after reading the segment about Raman dialogue to Ishita it is pathetic what we saw in this 2.5 years of IshRa building their relationship all gone to dust as soon as Ruhi is not there their relationship is also not there so basically they never moved from sirf Ruhi ke liye clause

Dialogue for Raman pathetic they made him worse than Subbu at least Subbu left her saying only that she could not give a child but here Raman dialogue made her feel worthless so what are they conveying here if a woman cannot bear a child she is inauspicious and should be forbidden from ever getting love or allowed near any family otherwise she will bring her bad luck to that family.

They have successfully diverted the topic of the surrogate baby arrival and to keep Shagun in Raman life they gave such crappiest dialogue to Raman

The killed RKB character beyond redemption to keep Shagun in the loop post leap.

I hope their trp hits rock bottom even after post leap they come back together I don't think I can enjoy IshRa together as I enjoyed now because everything would be a false facade

I will not be watching yhm post leap at least they gave final mourning to Raman in this track before killing him

Amen, Maya.

These aren't the characters we were introduced to, but this most definitely was not the Raman we were introduced to.

These writers have no shame in demeaning a woman for the sake of drama and after 1 year of dealing with this type of sh*t...it's still shocking.

I wish TRPs would tank with this track but god knows what the general viewing public likes or doesn't like. Shows like SNS top so sadly they may love it.

YHM is so good a doing two things - (1) killing hope and (2) forever destroying togetherness & peace of mind.

YHM makers/actors/crew often target their loyal audience, labeling them as "bashers, haters, fools, etc" but do they not realize that these people made them, this jodi, and this show famous. People foolishly stuck around waiting for something good.

A separation would've been amazing with angst and powerful acting with an AMAZING reunion, but after constantly demeaning sex in a marriage and infertility and reducing their lead couple to people who not only keep secrets but also utterly and pathetically demean one of the partners...I once again finding myself hoping IshRa never become IshRa again. How can we continue to justify this couple as "perfect"? For the sake of drama, the purity of a relationship is tainted...and guess what love should NOT hurt like this.

Indian TV shows grotesque relationships in the name of "love" - be it the love of a couple, of a parent-child, of a family, etc...love isn't just about sacrifice or bearing pain silently. The reality is these indian TV couples who separate should truly have no scope for reunion b/c this "love" is destructive and demoralizing.

Like Gan said - is this worth it? Be it for the sake of one character or extra drama...was this tale of surrogacy and now separation and leap worth it? It's like one giant "eff you" with multiple middle fingers to people who tried to hope.

And sadly I still want to be wrong despite being a pretty highly functioning, sensitive human...I want to have my interpretation of the segment to be wrong so I can watch this show and find some happiness like I did with this last track (until yesterday).

Sigh Gan, only your posts make me feel and reach to this show. I loathe the makers and the channel for being so disrespectful . In the quest for business they have pricked the hearts of many women who suffer from fertility issues and honestly every woman should be ashamed of what is being shown here.
I was never a fan of IshRa post marriage , precisely after that Mani arc because of the harsh words Raman would casually throw at Ishita. Goading her fertility and mocking her. Sometimes for drama and sometimes just randomly, it never made sense to me why would this woman stuck with this man . Guess it's a precedent with desi shows , barring one that I watched, almost all have followed this pattern. ML disrespecting Fl , using harsh words after marriage or proclamation of love. I never could move on from his anger, which even though might have been his initial sketch ended up being a recurring theme and ruined the bond between these two for me. His brash and anger, used to be stereotyped as a Punjabi or Dilli trait and it annoyed me , how matter-of-fact they were of this passive misogynist thinkin that prevailed in bhalla household

But it was the surrogacy track that destroyed the show for me and nailed the coffin. Since then I wanted a separation..Ishita walking out. For her dignity, for her self. How could her husband trade her womb to the one woman who has time and again represented the dark shadow on their marriage and who made Ishita feel like a second woman in her own marriage?

CVs and Raman crossed that line when they kicked the basic premise of the show with this step. Marriage was over then and there. ishita was dead too because I don't understand who and why will she be so amiable about this idea.

Ruhi-Ishita.
I have had issues with this equation after they used Ruhi to push through arcs of Ishra marriage and the baby track. But nothing can take away the fact that it was the show for the longest time. Ishita is not only hearing harsh and cruel words from her own husband but about someone whom she would happily lay down her whole life. I would be deeply disappointed with her if she stands and listens to this silently or guilt trips about Raman . And will be so turned off if she chooses to stay silent now too for some secret blackmail and let him destroy her most precious bond with his crass words.

Nepotism - ACP and Shagun . Yes Shagun was important but Surrgoncy was an overkill .ACP- Why? I will never know.

To real life Ishitas - you don't need this show to validate your motherhood . And to every other woman who silently listens to her husbands crass cruel words and goes through emotional abuse - WALK OUT Or atleast TALK.

Hi Krishy,

I know this is a drama and it is their show they can kill it any time they want but it kind of hurts because I got attached to the character during the initial stages of yhm mainly because the core concept of the show was different from every run down the mill show and they had amazing cast who could act and every character was grey shaded some with little bit more white shades and some with little bit more black shades which I could relate too.

Now I cannot relate too any character either they became fully black or fully white but still stuck to the show because of IshRa love and their magic chemistry which made the scene sizzle even without touching each other and their amazing acting abilities but right now they have killed the core concept of the show by making Raman utter these crappiest dialogues.

I know people say it a show so should not take it to heart as they are only for trp but as a woman it bothers me when they degrade the woman by showing her she is a sacrificing devi making her mahan why should woman always sacrifice her happiness for family sake?

Infertility is a sensitive issues already we have lot of inhibitions in the society to accept people who are suffering with this complication but tv is a powerful media somehow in the initial stages I think YHM made a small impact in breaking the barriers for these woman but now they are driving a bigger wedge for them because this show is more popular and sometimes what happens in the media is taken as the ultimate truth.

I so wish that trp drops down to rock bottom for this track

Yep and what is the absolute worst to me is that those dialogs were NOT needed for whatever separation/leap they had in store. It seems like the circumstance was bad enough to "justify" a separation...

But these FEMALE writers wrote this dialog for a MALE character who initially showed reproductive status didn't matter to say to a FEMALE struggling with infertility and a botched identity due to society's taunts. They ripped away ANY hope, be it a fictional medium, that a woman who cannot reproduce can ever be valued and find true love as a woman. They reduced sex to procreation & the value of a human to their parenting & reproductive abilities. How can any person - man or woman - not find it heart-breaking that true love means what YHM wants to show next?

How I wish it's not what it obviously looks like but i have no true hope that this isn't about to become one of BT's most pathetic and insulting serials ever!

Yes Krishy,

It is going to turn into one of the worst serial what kills it more is they have butchered Raman character beyond repair he was a person who did not care about the inability in her but saw her as complete person during the initial stages when he hated her the most now when he loves her beyond imagination tags her as infertile and inauspicious and the person righting these kinds of dialogue are woman
