Chapter 16

The dinner was done; rahul took the tray back to the kitchen. A minute after rahul left, payal comes in to play her role again. Maanvi was in bathroom to change into her night dress of salwar and kameez.

Payal~ "Rahul... rahul..." acting as if she didn't know that rahul was down stairs. She continued "Acha, tum bathroom me ho. Wo sab chodo, tumhe yaad hai tum mujhe pehle raat mein guitar bajana sikhate the? Kaise tum mera haath pakad kar guitar bajwate the? Aur main tumhari bahoon mein hi thak kar so jaati thi? Kitni bar to tum mujhe utha kar mere kamre mein chod kar aate the?..."

Just then maanvi comes out of bathroom. Payal acts all surprised to see her instead of rahul. "Oh, so sorry. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki bathroom me rahul nahi, tum thi. Koi baat nahi, main rahul ko neeche dhoond lungi."

Maanvi controlled herself and replied "Koi baat nahi payal. Rahul do minute ke liye neeche gaya hai, abhi aa jayega. Yoon to raat bahaut ho gayi hai, par ab tum dono itne time baad mile ho to purani yaadein to tazaa karni hi chahiye." Her voice clearly gave away that payal's act and lie had fulfilled its purpose perfectly.

Just then rahul enters. "Payal, yahan? Kya hua?" inquired rahul. He had no clue what payal just did.

Payal~ "Kuch nahi, sirf good night kehne aayi thi." She walked up to rahul, hugged him, kissed on his cheeks and wished him good night. Then turned around "Good night maanvi." And smiled as she left their room.

Maanvi was very angry about what just happened. She kept staring at rahul as if he had broken something very precious to her. Rahul looked at her and he could tell something has gone terribly wrong. He hesitated a little before asking "Kya hua maanvi?"

Maanvi~ "Acha! Kya hua?! Tumhe nahi pata kya hua?! Tumhe apni biwi ke samne dusri ladki se flirt karne mein zaraa si bhi sharam nahi aati rahul?! Aur uss par tum mujhse puch bhi rahe ho ki kya hua?!" she just went off like an express train.

Rahul~ "O hello! Flirt main nahi, wo kar rahi thi. To kya hua wo flirt kar rahi thi to? Behen hai wo meri. Ab kya wo mere saath hasi mazaak bhi nahi kar sakti?" He replied in his soft playful tone.

Maanvi~ "Wo flirt kar rhi thi to tum rok nahi sakte the?! Tumhari behen..." she suddenly realized what rahul said. Her tone changed from being annoyed at him to inquiring tone "Tumhari behen?"

Rahul~ "Haan, meri behen. Payal mom ki niece hain. Char saal pehle Australia gayi thi studies ke liye." He paused for a moment before adding "Tumhe kya laga maanvi? Kahin tum kuch aisa waisa to nahi soch rahi thi?" he had little smirk about his question.

Maanvi felt little uncomfortable "Nahi. Kuch nahi. Bas aise hi. Wo tumse iss tarah..."

Rahul started walking towards her "Mujhse iss tarah kya maanvi?"

Maanvi felt a rush of blood towards her cheeks as she knew where this conversation was going "Kuch nahi rahul. Chodo iss baat ko, raat bahaut ho gayi hai. Mujhe neend aa rahi hai." She tried to evade question.

Rahul~ "Bolo na maanvi, kya laga tumhe?" he pinned her to the wall as he spoke softly and slowly.

Maanvi~ "Kuch bhi nahi laga mujhe rahul. Main to bas..." it was getting harder for her to hide her feelings now.

Rahul~ "Main to bas kya? Bolo Maanvi...Mujhe maloom hain, tum payal se jealous ho rahi thi. Tumhe acha nahi lagta ki koi aur mere pass aye. Yahi baat hain na? Jawaab do maanvi." His soft voice and staring eyes left no place for her to hide her feelings.

Maanvi~ "Haan. Mujhe acha nahi lagta ki koi aur tumhare itne pass aye." Her heart raced as she admitted to what she felt when she sees payal with him.

Rahul come even closer and spoke softer than before "Kyun maanvi. Tumhe kyun farak padta hai? Kya ehsaas hai jo dikhayi nahi dete par phir bhi hume ek dusre ki taraf, har pal, har bar, lekar aa jate hain? Kyun hum uss ehsaas ko bar bar chupate hain? Kyun maanvi? Akhir kab tak hum yoon hi ek dusare se chupte chupate rahenge? Kab tak iss ehsaas ko dabaate rahenge?..." his voice was no more than a whisper now as he continued "Aaj apne dil ke un ehsaas ko mat chupao maanvi. Aaj apne dil ki saari baatein keh do. Keh do jo tumhe mere liye mehsoos hota hai. Keh bhi do maanvi..." He stared right into her eyes. They froze for few moments.

Mesmerized by her feelings for him, she replied softly "Kyunki, I Love You Rahul. Main tumse pyaar karne lagi hoon. I Love You."

They took a deep breath, closed their eyes, and tilted their heads to submit into a kiss. Their feelings were at its peak from where there was no turning back. They only paused to take another breath before going for another kiss more passionate than before. Maanvi's one hand slid around his neck and other one in his hairs, pulling him closer. Rahul's one hand went around her waist and other one held her head, gently. All the invisible walls that had kept them away for so long had finally dissolved.

He gently lifted her in his arms and took her to the bed. Slowly lay down. They kissed again. He helped her remove her night dress as she helped him remove his cloths. His one hand was around her, feeling her bare skin under his fingers, while other hand was in her soft silky hairs, holding her head gently. Her hands were around him feeling his sculpted fine features pressed against her own, wanting to give in to their impulses.

There was no need for words to describe what they wished. He slowly let them become one body two souls, keeping in mind, about her comfort level. She responded in a low moan as he entered, but soon she adjusted to the feeling. After that it was like they were riding on the waves of feelings of pure pleasure, passion and love.

They entered in a rhythmic momentum, along with mapping every inch of their partner's bare skin under their fingers. Feeling every muscle, every curve, every moan, every breath... Passion burned equally fierce for both of them. Feeling the touch... by fingers... by lips... there was nothing else that could ever compare to it.

Their rhythm, heartbeats, breathing; racing, slowing... was like a song on its own. Heartbeats in sync with each other... Breathing into scent of her hairs, his breath... Stroking, caressing, and everything was like living a dream... and every moment led them into bliss.

The night was nothing less than the heaven for the couple who finally admitted and gave into their feelings for each other.

When the morning came, rahul felt as if the last night was all a dream and it will vanish if he opens his eyes. But it wasn't, she was here, right in his arms, sleeping. Her arms around him, her head resting on his bare chest. Who would ever want to wake up from the living dream of their lives?

He carefully moved her hairs from her face, and reached out to kiss her on her forehead. She smiled in her sleep. He didn't want to wake her up, but she has promised that she will do riyaaz with him everyday.

He whispered to her while stroking her hairs "Maanvi, subah ko gayi hai. Riyaaz karna hai na?"

Maanvi slowly opened her eyes and saw him staring at her. She remembered last night and her cheeks turned red. As she realized further, about how she was lying there with him, she gasped. He understood her nervousness about everything that happened last night.

He turned to her side, held her face with his hand and spoke softly "Shhh shh sh... Kal raat jo hua, tumhe uske bare mein soch kar nervous hone ki zaroorat nahi hai. Kal raat meri zindagi ki sabse haseen raat thi. Main bas itna kehna chahta hoon ki main sirf aur sirf tumhara hoon aur humesha rahunga. Tumhare aur mere beech mein kabhi koi teesra nahi aayega, chahe kaisi bhi situation ho. Tumse hi meri zindagi hai maanvi. I love you. Meri zindagi mein, iss ehsaas se jyada sacha, aur kuch bhi nahi hai."

Maanvi didn't know why, but those words gave more relief than anything else could ever. She whispered back to him "Meri zindagi mein tumse bad kar kuch bhi nahi hai rahul. Tum sirf aur sirf mere ho. Mujhe khud se kabhi door mat karna. I love you rahul."

They kissed each other briefly before getting dressed up to go down and do their usual riyaaz.

Meanwhile Shaleen and Nisha were discussing about how they would want Avanti to spoil the upcoming concert which is due in three days. Shaleen wanted to make sure that his plans to destroy rahul don't go amiss but he had doubts. Avanti maybe fueled by rage and vengeance against rahul and maanvi for the whole marriage incident, but she is a lot unstable to be trusted with such important task.

Shaleen~ "Nisha, tumhe kya lagta hai? Avanti se yeh kaam karana safe hoga? She is a bit unstable u know. Aur agar usne kuch aisa waisa kar diya to humare liye bhi problem ho sakti hai."

Nisha~ "Uska gussa hi to humare kaam ka hai. Apne badle ki aag mein usse kuch aur na to dikhayi deta hai, na sunai deta hai. Tumhara kehna bhi sahi hai. Hume Avanti ka soch samajh kar istemaal karna hoga. Uski ek galti humare plan ko kharab kar sakti hai."

Shaleen~ "Kharab kar sakti hai, ya phir hume fasaa bhi sakti hai. Aur tum to dad ko jaanti ho. Kisi aur se jyada mujhe dad ko iss bare mein pata lagne ka darr hai. Unhe pata laga to hum dono ki khair nahi."

Nisha~ "Shaleen, tumne rahul aur dad ke beech mein tension note ki? Kuch to hai jis wajah se rahul aur dad theek se baat bhi nahi kar rahe hain. Last time dono ke beech mein yeh tension, rahul ke new album ke context mein hui thi, aur baad mein jab rahul maanvi se shaadi kar ke aaya tha tab hui thi."

Shaleen~ "Tum bhool rahi ho ki wo RAHUL hai! Wo kuch bhi kare, dad us se kuch din naraz rehte hain aur kuch din baad phir se rahul rahul ka jaap karne lagte hai. Unhone humeshe sirf rahul ke liye kiya hai jo kiya hai. Unke beech mein abhi tensions hai par concert aane do, sab bhool kar dad aur rahul phir ek ho jayenge."

Nisha agreed that what Shaleen said is quite true. No matter what rahul does, he will always be the prodigal son that everyone absolutely adores. And now it was time for Nisha to visit Avanti in hospital again as she is getting discharged today.

Even if Avanti is unstable and blinded to the obvious when it comes to rahul, she is also a great pawn to be used for anything that can cause harm to rahul and maanvi. In case the plan fails or worse, backfires... she will be the one to take the fall. All that's needed to be done is fill her ears very carefully so that she never suspects the ulterior motives.

Nisha knows well that Avanti only wants to harm maanvi and steal rahul from her. If she got the wind that Shaleen wants to harm rahul, who knows that she might even turn on them. The thought was unsettling as no one can predict the actions of a crazy person like Avanti. This is indeed a dangerous game with probably fatal results, but if this arrow does finds its mark, then Shaleen and herself will never have to bow down or even take insults from anyone ever again.
