SAB TV's plans to premiere blockbuster movie Dilwale' has worked a treat in UK ratings with record numbers, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, was watched by 72,800 viewers - peaking at 120,400 viewers - the biggest audience for the channel for a movie. The romantic film, directed by Rohit Shetty, was broadcast between 20:00 and 23:15 and was heavily publicised across various platforms. The channel is expected to get another lift on Friday, when Dilwale' is repeated at 21:30.

SAB TV's Dilwale Day' also consisted of the repeat telecast of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', which delivered 48,000 viewers at 15:30, followed by uk Red Carpet of Dilwale' at 19:30 with 40,700 viewers and DDLJ: Ek Blockbuster Ki Kahani' at 14:00 with 5,500 viewers.

Overall, SAB TV was one of the most watched channels with a strong and consistent output throughout Sunday.
