The episode begins with the priest completing the rituals for shanthi paath and leaves from there. Meenakshi comes to aaji and sympathises saying that time will pass but it must be hard for her to lose her only son to which aaji replies who said she has only one son and sarcastically adds that Anant is also like her son and he has done so much for them. Anant blushes and tries to brush it aside saying that they are like his family and Rajaram was more than a brother to him. Aaji insists that she should speak about what he has done for them but Anant says that was his duty. Then aaji tells him everyone gathered here should know what kind of a dog he is to which everyone are shocked and Anant is stumped. Devika is shocked and asks her what is she saying to which Aaji says even a dog will remain loyal but he is fiend who snatched away all their happiness and joined hands with Patil, ensuring Rang Sangeeth was sold to him. That is the reason why Patil is sending him to Pune. She curses him saying 10 years ago he had come begging to them and Rajaram had given him a job, taken loans and lent him money so that his home could run but today he ruined the very family that had sheltered him. The crowd gathered there beat him badly and aaji slaps him too. Ketki tries to join the crowd to beat Anant but Kalyani restrains her. Devika stops aaji and tells her that today they performed a shanthi paath for Rajaram and today she doesn't want any violence in the house. Aaji cries her heart out.
In the night Shourabh comes to Devika and suggests her that Kalyani is very talented and there is a need for a child artist where he works and she is perfect for the role. But Devika tells him she is a child, she is studying and... Shourabh completes the sentence saying she doesn't want Kalyani to sell her talent and this is what even Rajaram wanted. He says Rajaram was so talented but see what people like Chadda can do? Even talent loses before money and status. He insists that Kalyani is very talented and she will go very far in life. Her real place is in the movies where her art will be recognised and she will earn a lot of money. But Devika says there is no need for such money in their life. They are simple people who earn for a living. Shourabh reminds her in a subtle manner that how will they live their life but Devika says for that she cannot let her daughter work. Shourabh says he understands and gives her money saying he knows she will refuse but to keep that money as a loan. Devika refuses but Shourabh insists promising her he will take it back from her for sure. Shourabh leaves and Devika assures him she will repay him at the earliest and also promises him that if there ever be a need her family will stand by him. Shourabh asks her to take care and tells her she can contact him if there is a need.
Ketki asks Kalyani angrily as to why she stopped her and its coz Anant their father is not with them. Kalyani tells her in a composed voice she knows. Ketki asks her why again and Kalyani reminds her of the promise she had made to their father that she won't fight again and asks her whether her promise to their father is more important or Anant? Ketki fumes and tells her she hates Anant and Shivang and wishes she could kill them. Kalyani asks her calm down but Ketki asks her why is she being calm and if she isn't angry? Kalyani tells her she is very angry and Ketki pleads to her that they should do something but Kalyani tells her we can't do anything. Ketki asks her why can't they complain to the police but Kalyani tells her no since she heard Gopal kaka talking to Shourabh saying they can't do anything as they don't have proof against Anant. Ketki is sad and asks her then won't Anant be punished for his bad deeds and had he not betrayed them their father would be with them and cries while Kalyani consoles her.
Next day morning aaji and Devika are in the market where aaji tells her on whom can they believe and the one whom they trusted betrayed them in the worst manner. Devika says she is unable to believe Anant would do something like this to which aaji says she never liked him but she and Raja were always in his favor. Devika tells her about the money given by Shourabh and says for few days they can manage else they didn have money to even buy vegetables. She further tells her that she has assured Shourabh to return his loan. Aaji is fed up of loans and says loans have eaten up their lives. Devika tells her about Shourabh's proposal of letting Kalyani work to which aaji asks her what did she say. Devika tells her she refused since Kalyani is still very young. They later go and buy vegetables. Aaji asks her what can they do for a living now to which Devika says she has an idea. She says she may not be talented but she can do one work to which aaji asks let her also know what work it is.
Kalyani wakes up Ketki and tells her they need to goto school. Ketki cries telling her she misses their father and she wants to see him. Kalyani consoles her and Ketki asks her is if it is necessary to goto school and places her head in Kalyani's lap. Kalyani explains to her they need to goto school so that can take exams and pass which will make their mother happy.
Devika and aaji buy vegetables. Devika tells aaji that she can cook to which aaji asks will she come in somebody's home. Devika tells her if someone is sick or if work is more she can try to which aaji mocks at her that no one would need a cook but Devika says she can at least try. Devika tells her if she says OK she can try to which aaji relents but tells its OK in their home but she must not cook bad food in others home and spoil her name and Devika laughs. Devika hopes she finds a job before money gets over and is worried about Kanishk's health too. Aaji remembers hearing Patil ask Anant if he had given them money and decides to goto his home. She tells Devika she will go somewhere to which Devika asks her why. Aaji tells she should not stop a person who is going and tells her to go look for work. Devika sets about her mission.
In school Shivang taunts Ketki asking if she will hit him again and says she has lost Rang Sangeeth. Ketki loses her cool but Kalyani stops her reminding her of the promise. Reluctantly Ketki backs off as Shivang continues to taunt her.
Aaji comes to Anant's home and demands he comes out. Meenakshi yells at her that after doing all that hungama she is back and tells her Anant is not at home. Aaji says she knows he is there and yells at him that he hides behind a woman shamelessly after stealing their money. Meenakshi asks her to get out but Meenakshi says she wants their money. Meenakshi says all the money went off in clearing debts but aaji tells her she heard Patil telling him he had given some money to him. She continues yelling out at him but Meenakshi yells at her to get out. Aaji changes her tone and pleads to her that Kanishk needs money for his treatment but Meenakshi heartlessly tells her that she will give out that money to beggars but she wont give her a paisa and throws aaji out. (I really wish this whole family pay for this 🤢)
Devika goes to households asking for work. In one place one housewife tells her if she will cook then what will she herself do and in another house they don't give her a job because she had no prior experience. Devika comes home dejected and aaji tells her she will get a job when it is the right time. Everyone sit down for dinner and Devika remarks food is very good to which aaji beams and tells her Ketki and Kalyani prepared dinner. Devika asks Ketki how was school to which Ketki says fine but Shivang... and stops but adds she did not hit him. Kalyani tells Devika she heard Shivang's family is going to Pune and Ketki butts in angrily saying she heard Shivang will get admission in an english medium school too. She adds that because of them their father left them and now they are suffering but the culprits are going to Pune and can't they do anything? Devika and aaji look at her helplessly.
Precap - Ketki follows aaji who goes to Rang Sangeeth and sets it on fire. Later they show Ketki and aaji leaving from there.
