One thing Niru is sure about is: Once his son has made a decision he will not step back, come what may. So Niru has no option left but to support his son on his decision.
His mother is lying on deathbed in front of him. What he needs to do? He needs to show that even he doesn't want SaGa to be together, that way her melodrama will stop.

How can he achieve both the things at one go?
By sarcastically taunting Gangaa, that way it will hurt both SaGa and provoke Sagar to stay with his lady love, in adverse situation as well.

Also, it will show a fake support to Ammaji's decision, so no more melodrama.
