I agree! It is not about feminism. It is about selfishness. A trait that transcends the bounds of gender bias. She can provide money to her parents after marriage. Many women do... Just because she is the primary breadwinner of the family is no reason for her to remain unmarried or sacrifice for a person who is hale and hearty, but chooses to waste time eating junk food and watching TV! If money is a real concern, do something about it! Push handcarts for heaven's sake or work at a grocery store! Finding a job 24/7 should've been this person's priority rather than free hoarding or worse - selfishly pulling their own sibling down, by putting their own security fore front and center.

From Dev's standpoint - His sister sacrificed her childhood for him. Now that things are better, if she wants to go out and be her own career woman, so be it! Her mother shouldn't be holding her back...
