So Kekayi finally tells Ram her two wishes. On hearing this, Ram with his eyes filled with tears and that forever peaceful expressions looks at his beloved mother and asks, " bas itna he " ? At this moment while Kekayi was shook with surprise along with her real emotions which is infinite love for her beloved son Ram rushing upwards in her eyes trying to control it and keep a poker face, Ram looked at her with so much love and respect thinking "oh mother, I know you love me and don't want this to happen, but it's niyati that's making you do this. And while the whole world will curse you for this, and you will have to bear the brunt of everyone's hatred, I will always love you for this huge sacrifice you made for the betterment of mankind." Even today people say bad about Kekayi, when we all know it had to happen in order for Ram to fulfill his destiny.
I am no expert, but am going from a book I read written by dr Michael Newton, Journey of souls. He regressed a lot of evolved souls into life after death. According to that theory before we come on earth we pick our lives, we make pacts with other souls on what we will do and what they will do to us, it may be good or bad depending on the lesson we are here to learn. So when someone does something bad towards us, we should not judge them or blame them, rather we must introspect within and see what we are suppose to learn from it. Although Ram was not here to learn but to teach us, Kekayi did what she did to get him to that path. Therefore when we see Ram's reaction to this, we must learn from this. Never to attack the other person causing us pain, instead thank them, as they agreed to wrong us so we can evolve.
