Chapter 12

Rahul wakes up and finds maanvi still fast asleep in his arms. They were finally starting to accept their feeling which was like a dream come true. Rahul already confessed his feelings to her. Question is how long until maanvi accepts what she feels for him.

Maanvi has agreed to join him in his morning rehearsals from now on which lifted his spirit. He slowly stroke her hairs "Maanvi... Maanvi... subah ho gayi hai. Hume riyaaz karna hai."

She opened her eyes and found herself in his arms. As she remembered what transpired last night between them, her cheeks turned red. She rose up as she brushed her hairs out of her face. She didn't knew what came over that she wanted to stay near him but so far never had the courage to ask. "Maanvi..." rahul's voice brought her back from her thoughts.

Rahul~ "Kya hua? Kya soch rahi ho?..."

Maanvi~ "Nahi. Kuch nahi."

He led her to the other room where rahul has always rehearsed in morning with dada ji. As they entered, maanvi noticed some other music instruments like harmonium, sitar, guitar, and a few others. Harmonium and sitar reminded maanvi of her rehearsals with her baba. Tears started forming in her eyes. Rahul noticed this and took her hand in his hands "Maanvi, baba jaldi theek ho jayenge. Phir hum sab saath me riyaaz kar sakte hain."

Maanvi nodded. "Yeh sab instruments kis ke hain?"

Rahul~ "Yeh sab dada ji ke hain. Mujhe jo bhi aata hain, sab unhi ne sikhaya hai. Tumhare baba ko bhi dada ji sikhate the. Dada ji ne bataya mujhe ki kaise mere papa ne ek competition ke liye tumhare baba ko dhoka diya. Tumhare baba ki dosti aur bharose ko toda hai mere papa ne. Mere dad ki wajah se kitne logo ko takleef ka saamna karna pada. Unki wajah se tumko aur mujhe bhi kitni takleef hui, main unko kabhi maaf nahi kar paunga maanvi."

Maanvi grabbed his hand and shook her head. Her eyes pleading to rahul not to think about that. Rahul took a deep breath and picked up his guitar while maanvi sat next to sitar. Rahul starts playing a tune and they sang together

The riyaaz time was most beautiful moments they had that would bring smiles whenever they will think about it. Maanvi was unaware of rahul's plans behind these rehearsals.

Rahul maanvi returned to their rooms after riyaaz. Rahul takes a shower as he has to go to studio and go through the concert stuff. A Maanvi straight up the bedsheet as Chotu brings in tea. Maanvi lets him in. Chotu announces that breakfast will be served in half hour before leaving.

Sonali stops by as Chotu was leaving. "Kya baat hai aaj subah subah to ghar mein ronak ho gayi. Maan khush ho gaya. Kitna acha lagta hai jab tum dono saath mein gaate ho."

Maanvi felt a little shy at those words "Nahi mommy ji wo to bas aise hi..."

Sonali~ "Isme sharmana kaisa beta. Tum dono itna acha gaate ho. Main to kehti hoon tum dono ko saath mein perform karna chahiye. Rahul theek kehta hai. Tumhari awaaz magical hai. Tumhari awaaz wo aawaz hai jo rahul ki awaaz ko pura karti hai."

Rahul appears from bathroom "Dekha, mom bhi agree karti hain. Ab bas intezaar hai to tumhare maanne ka maanvi. Ek bar, bas ek bar, tum bhi maan jao, phir sab aur bhi acha hoga."

Maanvi turned a little shy. Sonali came closer and put her hand on maanvi's head "Main bata nahi sakti ki main kitni khush hoon, ki tum iss ghar mein, rahul ki biwi, iss ghar ki bahu ban kar aayi. Sach hai, tum dono sirf ek dusre ke liye hi bane ho."

Rahul had a shine in his eyes at that comment from Sonali. Sonali kissed maanvi on her forehead and asked them to get read soon. After Sonali left, rahul still had a stuck up smile on his face. He walked up to maanvi, took her hands in his hands and said "Tum sirf mere liye bani ho maanvi..."

Maanvi must have blushed so hard at that she almost forgot to breathe again. To save herself from showing her feelings, she immediately changed the topic "Tum dining hall mein pahauncho, main taiyaar hoke wahin par milti hoon."

Rahul~ "Tum taiyar ho jao. Phir hum saath me challenge."

Maanvi picked her stuff and ran off to bathroom to get ready. Few minutes later, she appeared out in blue- ocean green saree. Rahul was looking at her "Tum... tum par... tum par yeh rang... bahaut khoobsurat lag raha hai."

Maanvi returned his complement with a sweet smile. She started walking towards the door when rahul stopped her. He pointed out that the silk dori of her blouse wasn't tied properly. She tried to tie it up again when rahul asked if he could. After a thought, she turned her back to him granting permission. He walked up to her, moved her hairs aside. Maanvi closed her eyes as she gave in to his touch. Rahul tied up the dori firmly and informed her "Ho gaya."

Maanvi~ "Thanks."

If there was ever a doubt, it was gone now. Their feelings for each other runs deep. Together they headed down for breakfast.

Everyone started arriving at the dining table. Raj, Sonali were already present. Nisha, Shaleen arrived next followed by rahul, maanvi, then dada ji and dadi ji.

Rahul was avoiding raj. Maanvi wished dadi ji and dada ji.

Dadi ji~ "Jeete reh puttar. Aaj subah to badi hi achi thi."

Dada ji~ "Kyun nahi hogi. Rahul aur maanvi saath mein riyaaz jo kar rahe the. Wah! Maan khush kar ditta tum dono ne."

Sonali shared the same smile as dadi ji and dada ji. Nisha and Shaleen were annoyed by the attention these two were starting to get now-a-days. To draw attention to themselves, Nisha brought the subject of promoting shaleen's first album as well.

Nisha~ "Dad... aapko nahi lagta ki Shaleen ki nayi album ka bhi promotion karna chahiye? Rahul ka to uska concert hai teen din baad. Maine socha kyun na Shaleen ko bhi usme perform karne diya jaaye?"

Raj~ "Nahi. Wo concert rahul ka hai. Log wahan rahul ko sunne ke liye aate hain. Hum Shaleen ke album ke liye dusra concert arrange kar rahe hai. Aaj meri producers' aur sponsors ke saath meeting hai thodi der me. Hum Shaleen aur maanvi ke album ki promotion ke baare mein hi discussion karenge. Shaleen, I will inform you with details later."

This must have been the first time raj mentioned maanvi by name instead of addressing her as a nobody.

Seeing raj talk about maanvi, rahul wanted to ask him to stay away from her, but that would only mean the rest of the family will also find out about the tensions between raj and him. Moreover, no one knew about the special plans rahul had for his own concert.

Raj reached the producers' office. Soon the meeting began. Raj addressed everyone present and talked about Shaleen and maanvi's first album and its promotion plans.

The producers and sponsors informed raj that they had conversations before about promoting the album. They wanted to go ahead with a two weeks tour around 6 major cities in India. Most of the details have been worked out. They only needed to get the confrmation from Shaleen and maanvi. Once that tour is success, soon they will go ahead with round the world tour.

Raj didn't liked the idea that he was left out from these discussions in which he used to be the coordinator when it used to come to making all important decisions. But he held his tounge and agreed to these plans.

While returning from the meeting, he wondered if rahul would agree to send maanvi away for two weeks tour. From the last night's discussion, there was a good chance that rahul may not agree to those terms. If that happens, raj may have a chance to earn little bit of trust from rahul again if he can negotiate a middle way with sponsors and producers.

At this point, raj was ready to have a go at any chance of fixing his relations with rahul. After all, rahul is his ace in the world of fame and fortune.

Rahul comes to see Sonali. "Mom, mera ek kaam karogi?"

Sonali~ "Kya hua? Kaisa kaam?..."

Rahul~ "Mom, aap to jaanti hi ho ki maanvi kitni ziddi hai. Main chata tha ki concert ki rehersals mein maanvi mere saath studio jaye. But wo to aise maanegi nahi. To... aap samajh rahe ho na. Aap bas kuch bahana bana ke maanvi ko studio bhej dena na. Please..."

Sonali~ "Acha? Main kyun? Tum khud bhi to usse kissi bahane se studio bula sakte ho."

Rahul~ "Mom, aap maanvi ko underestimate kar rahe ho. Main kuch kehta hoon to humesha kuch bahana bana deti hai. Par main jaanta hoon, wo aapki aur dadi ki baat nahi talegi. Iss liye to aapke pass aya hoon. Please na mom..." he made a puppy doll face at which point Sonali had to agree.

Rahul~ "Thanks mom, you are absolutely amazing!! Bye."

Then rahul left for studio.

maanvi has been blushing so much in ur updates but reality mein she is one bold lover hahahaha
