Lend your love to me tonight
The warmth in his eyes
Making her cheeks pink and bright.
In his outstretched palm she placed hers.
Their fingers entwined in comfort
The grass grazed against her soft skin.
A blade of green cut his skin.
Both lay in silence
Knowing for many years
comfort this will become akin.
Their glance held.
Lend me your love tonight
