I'm tempted to say Neha is a better mom, but as I don't know the whole story, I cannot say so with confidence.

Ishwari is definitely a very flawed woman. She's struggled a lot in life, done many sacrifices in order to bring up her kids. But she's also majorly differentiated between the kids and does not mother/ care for them equally. She's always looked out for Dev's interests before the interests of her other kids.

Neha is also really flawed. But in terms of mothering, Neha seems pretty concerned for everyone. She makes sure that Ishwari is taken care of, she makes sure that her younger sisters are taken care of, and she makes sure that her younger sisters and mother continue their bond (it's telling that the other sister went to Neha for blessings for her result but had to be reminded to go take their mother's blessings). And like Ishwari, Neha has also sacrificed her childhood and education in order to help raise her siblings.

So yeah, at the moment, Neha does seem like a better mom.

Well , she is self-less in her love for her sisters.
And the self -pity is due to the lack of acknowledgement she's been given by her mother and brother alike .

Oh well

Usually I don't like to compare motherly love.

But here am comparing a kid- Neha ( now an adult) - 9 year old kid is kid after all who was forced to give up her studies and forced to become a mother of 2 children. How unfair it is?
Her upbringing - both younger sisters are far more better human beings than Dev.Both sisters are far more balanced in life.

Ishwari- who gave birth to 4 kids-struggled in her own way but has done injustice to her kids(especially to Neha).
Ishwari Upbringing- Neha was forced to become Mom. she was partial.

So without a doubt Neha is far better mom than Ishwari.
Neha doesn't give birth but still she mother of 2 kids. That is most unique quality in her which makes her special in every way.

After giving birth- any woman can easily develop motherly love towards her kids.
but without giving birth- a nine year old girl (kid) had raised two beautiful daughters and that is commendable .

P.S. Still I liked Dev, Ishwari and Neha - they are grey character which makes them unique in very way.
hope CV keeps them like this.

Neha loves her sisters only because she has raised them like her own kids and that is why she behaves with them like a mother...She knows in and out of her sisters...I liked how she told her sister to take ashirwad from Ishwari...It is her sanskar.

But when she can put a condition to not have kids after marriage says it all that she does not want to be a mother anymore...Which girl will not like to have her own kids after marriage if everything is right?

If this question is just in context to her being motherly to her sisters, yes she has raised them like a mother but she is not a mother...even an elder sister takes care of her younger siblings.

if u see both neha and dev brought up by ishwari are broken unbalanced people, where as both the other sisters are so balanced.it can be seen in the episode on mon where riya tries to make neha understand. Dosent tht make nehas upbringing more better. she must be broken n selfish herself but that hasnt effeccted her sisters and her care for them
Also if u look it was riya's result and who remembers it neha not ishwari.so the job that a mom shud do neha does it so who is the mom?

Also look at the way riya takes neha's blesings first and she has to be reminded to take her mom's blessings. it can be clearly seen tht the sisters are more close & influenced y neha thn thr own mom

And ishwari who took so much interest in her sons studies isnt actually that much elated when she hears of riya's result. Dosent she after her husbands death realise how much she had to struggle to make her ends meet and how easier it wud have been if she was well educated. But no devs education only interested her coz she saw him as an investment, for herself n her family whereas the daughters are not so.

Dosent how good an upbringing is show in the way how happy the kids are. look at both dev and neha - unhappy & the other sisters they are contended & happy.yes the elder siblings obviously had to go thru things more tht scarred them but still even after the past is over and they are in a good position now they are not able to enjoy the happiness they have

Yes, in the past episode, they have they have expanded on her character as a 'mother' and shown Ishwari to be more biased toward her son.

She has certainly filled the vacuum left by Ishwaari's lack of presence in her daughters upbringing; am not sure about her being a better mom.

How can we call her a better mom when she herself does not even want to be a mom. She is just filling a vacuum; like I said.
