I will not read the other one previous one but reading this one i will say at least it is better penned than the real show the story is moving with the characters doing something and feelings for each other.
Maanvi is not still in the dark but she's trying to help him out of this problem.

Chapter 6

Maanvi~ "Rahul... Rahul..." she was losing hope with every passing moment. Starting to feel desperate, "What if rahul doesn't come? Is this fate? Is this my punishment for not trusting him all those times?..."

Just as maanvi wanted to give up hope, rahul set foot on the sacred grounds of Maha Durga Temple. He slowly climbed up the stairs towards the sanctum. His eyes found maanvi sitting near the hawan fire. Without any need for words, he walked to the spot next to maanvi and sat down.

Maanvi glanced at rahul and they both shared a moment of eye lock. A sense of relief was shared between them. On the indication by the priests, maanvi passed down some flower and rice in Rahul's hand, proceeded with tilak and tied a mauli to grant protection to him from any bad influences during the second phase.

With shower of sacred gangajal all around and on everyone, the priests started the chants for phase two. This time harsh joined in with the hawan too. As the phase two started making progress, one of ACP's men noticed some commotion outside the temple.

He pointed to ACP and went to make notice of the people who were outside the temple at this time. No one else was supposed to be here at temple; hence ACP and his men were alert and ready for any sign of trouble. It took ACP no longer to realize that the people outside were goons sent here to interfere with the Pooja and capture rahul.

Three of those goons were also the ones from the sketches his constable has provided as description of the kidnappers. ACP asked him men to hold nothing back and by any means necessary, capture the perpetrators.

ACP and his men took flanking positons as they realized the goons don't have any clue that the police are involved in the current event. ACP was ready to make a move on one of the goons as he heard him talking to someone on the phone.

"Guru ji, hum rahul ka peecha karte karte kisi durga mandir pahauch gaye hai. Is samay yahan par panditon ke alawa kuch aur log bhi hai. Yeh sab kuch Pooja kar rahe hai..."

ACP heard someone yelling from the other side of the phone but couldn't make out what he was talking about. But from what Kajal had warned about someone trying to disrupt the Pooja , he had a clue what this was all about.

As the goons started to close in on the temple, without wasting another moment, ACP signals his men to make the drop on them. The goons were taken by the sudden surprise attack and they tried to fight back. ACP and his men were skilled and took the advantage of the situation. They were able to subdue few goons quite easily, while few of them ran away seeing that this battle was lost to them.

With situation under control ACP returned to the sanctum to join / witness the rest of the Pooja.

The Pooja progressed further, priests asked harsh to bless the pair. Then each of the priests came to apply tilak to maanvi and rahul, and cast their blessings on them as well. Maanvi chanted mantras Kajal have given her at the time she explained the ritual.

With each time maanvi repeated them, the mantra started to show effects on rahul. The first changes were that of transformations. Rahul started to repeatedly phase in and out between tiger and human changes of himself. With each phasing, changes were passing away and slowing down.

No one would have believed this had they not witnessed these with their own eyes. Harsh and ACP were the ones most shocked to witness this. According to Kajal, these phasing in and out were indicator of freeing the tiger spirit from Rahul's mortal form.

As the Pooja continued further, rahul started to hear the bells from Durgapur jagir temple and get the visions from the time he had spent as tiger. Those experiences were painful for rahul and he could barely stay at his Pooja spot. Ghosh ji and harsh helped rahul to hang on as these will pass away. Maanvi had to keep going with the mantras without any pause.

Soon the worst was over with, the pain and visions passed away. Rahul was left tired, covered in sweat and his breaths coming as huffs and pants.

While everyone was busy with helping rahul, guru ji arrived at the temple and he could hear the chanting and rahul screaming in pain.

"Nahi... main yeh Pooja safal nahi hone de sakta. Mujhe isse abhi rokna hoga. Meri itne saaloon ki mehnat bekar ho jayegi!..." saying that guru ji tries to step on the sacred grounds of Maha Durga Temple. As he takes a step on the stairs, he gets a strong jolt that makes him step back. Guru ji has never felt the effect of any energy like this before. He calls on his power and knowledge to reveal the nature of the energies that are forbidding him from entering the temple sacred grounds. He carefully reaches out to touch the air and finds the powerful barriers. The barriers were not the effects of chants or the prayers, but these were mystical in nature. As if the goddess herself was protecting these sacred grounds.

Guru ji attempted to appease the dark forces to help him pass through the barriers but to no avail. In the end he had to give up as it was out of his hands now. There is no way he could stop the completion of the ritual and freeing of the tiger spirit. He tried to curse maanvi and everyone involved in the Pooja but that also failed as the mauli and gangajal that were casted at the beginning nullifies all the bad influences from past present and future.

ACP notices the shady guru ji outside temple and tries to confront him, but guru ji succeeds in evading capture.

Maanvi and priests now reach the last part and offer the fruits, garlands, flowers and other Pooja stuff with sincere prayers. Rahul also was recovering from his last painful experience. Just as everyone was hoping they had seen enough miracles... a divine light emerged from the Durga idol and approached maanvi and rahul.

The divine light came to maanvi and blessed her for her immense faith and love that she displayed today for trying to save rahul. Then the divine light came to rahul and blessed him as reward for trusting his wife and bearing all the pain. Divine light felt like it touched Rahul's forehead and as it went back, the tiger spirit emerged out from rahul.

Everyone was stunned to see the tiger spirit. The spirit went to the side of the divine light and spoke in clear and friendly voice "Maanvi, meri madad ke liye aur mujhe azaad karne ke liye, main tumhara aabhari hoon. Mujhe azaad karane mein baki sab logon ka bhi dil se dhanyawad. Aap sabko mera aashirwad hai."

With those words, divine light and tiger spirit returned to their world. Only their words echoed in the air. Everyone was looking at the spot where just a moment ago the divine light and tiger spirit were present. With the rituals successfully completed, maanvi looked at rahul and took a breath of relief. Rahul was very weak from the phasing and pain. He was covered in sweat but now breathing easy.

Maanvi thanked everyone who was present and had given full support. ACP offered to take maanvi and rahul back home safely which maanvi accepted. Kajal and maanvi discussed further about rahul and how he will need to rest for couple of days to fully recover. Kajal promised to visit them tomorrow at home and will explain everything to Sonali herself.

Ghosh ji left for Durgapur jagir and thanked maanvi for giving him this opportunity to help them again. ACP's men took the goons; they had caught during the fighting, and left for the police station. These goons will be interrogated first thing in morning about who their boss is and what were his plans. Harsh offered to escort Kajal ji to her residence on his way back home.

Maanvi reached home and helped rahul to their room. Maanvi put the sheets on him and gently brushed his forehead.

"Ab tum safe ho rahul. Ab tum ghar aa gaye ho. Main tum se wada karti hoon ki main tumhara hamesha khayal rakhungi."

She sat beside him holding his hand in her hand the whole night, didn't realize when she fell asleep like that.

Raj was in his room trying to call guru ji to ask him if he has any more information on how or when he will be able to break the curse on rahul but his phone was unreachable. In his anxiousness he throws the phone on bed and pulls out his tie.

Sonali~ "Kya hua raj? Guru ji se kuch baat hui?..."

Raj~ "Nahi Sonali. Unka phone hi nahi lag raha hai. Pata nahi kya kya dekhna padega mere rahul ko. Sab meri wajah se Sonali. Sab meri wajah se. meri galti ki saja mere bete ko mil rahi hai."

Sonali~ "Raj aap apne aap ko itna dosh mat dijiye. Dosh dene se kya hoga? Jo ho raha hai wo badal to nahi jayega na?"

Raj~ "Tum hi batao main kya karoon? Itna helpless maine zindagi me kabhi feel nahi kiya Sonali..."

Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. Chotu came to tell that dadi ji has asked everyone to gather for the breakfast. Raj rudely tells him off that he is not hungry. Sonali gives raj an annoyed look and informs Chotu that we will come there in a few minutes.

"Acha Chotu..." Sonali stops Chotu and asks him "kya maanvi ghar aa gayi hai?"

Raj makes his stupid frustrated face hearing her name. "Subah subah uss manhoos ladki ka naam mere saamne lena zaroori hai?"

Chotu~ "Ji madam... Maanvi bhabhi ji aur Rahul bhaiya to raat ko hi laut aaye hain."

Sonali and Raj hearing Rahul's name were stunned and happy at the same time.

Sonali~ "Kya? Rahul bhi wapas aa gaya? Mein abhi ja kar ussko mil kar aati hoon."

Both Sonali and Raj ran off to meet rahul.

A bright sun was shining from the window. Rahul opened his eyes and saw his sunlit bedroom. He turn he gaze upon the person who was sitting next to him, her hand in his hand, sleeping by the support of the headrest. Hairs lying on her beautiful face...

"Koi aur nazara bhi kya iss se zyada khoobsurat ho sakta hai kya?" he thought to himself.

And then everything that has happened in last few days came to him. He remembered everything he did or the tiger spirit did. He worried a little "what will maanvi think of me now?... will she be mad at me or did she forgive me?" He was staring at maanvi trying to understand how she will behave towards him now.

Just then maanvi wakes up, slowly opening her eyes. That almost took Rahul's breath away "So pretty that even angels will be jealous" he thought.

Maanvi noticed the staring eyes of rahul that made her shy. She slowly rose up from the bed and said "Mein neec he breakfast dekh kar aati hoon" and left room. As maanvi left room, soon Sonali and Raj entered.

Raj~ "Rahul... beta... tu... tu theek to hain na? Tu ghar kab aaya? Kaisa hai tu?..." taking a seat next to rahul started off with soo many questions.

Rahul~ "Don't worry. Main ab bilkul theek hoon. Thodi si weakness hai, thoda aaram karunga ekdum acha ho jaunga."

Sonali~ "Par tum the kahan? Aur maanvi ko kahan mile?..."

Rahul~ "Mom, aap kyun worry karte ho. Maine kaha na I'm fine. Sab theek hai."

Then maanvi enters room with a tray of food for rahul, followed by dadi ji, dada ji, Nisha and Shaleen.

Maanvi~ "Mommy ji, rahul ko thodi si weakness hai, unko rest ki zaroorat hai. Phir wo jaldi theek ho jayenge."

Dadi ji~ "Tu puttar aaram kara. Bateein watein to baad mein hoti rahengi. Chalo sab log. Rahul ko aaram karne do." Saying that, dadi made everyone leave and give some privacy to rahul and maanvi.

Everyone was happy to see rahul back home except Nisha and Shaleen. As soon as Nisha was out of everyone's earshot, she called her friend Avanti.

"Hello, Avanti? You wouldn't believe! Maanvi rahul ko kal raat ghar le aayi! Abhi thodi der pehle hi maine papa ko maanvi ke naam se chidte hue suna tha. And now? Unhone kuch bhi nahi kaha jab dadi ne rahul aur maanvi ko akela chod dene ke liya kaha!"

Avanti~ "No way. Agar aisa hua to rahul aur maanvi aur paas aa jayenge aur ye main hone nahi de sakti. Hume jaldi hi kuch karna hoga. Tum ruko, main hi wahan par aati hoon." Saying that Avanti disconnected the call.
