I hope we get an extension of Kunjs scene in his bedroom, where he sits beside her clothes that he threw on the floor and reminisces all the details.

I believe once he puts two and two together and realizes that his WIFE, almost got raped while trying to save HIS fathers reputation or izzat. That will be the turning point and where his realization will seep in that not only is she his wife, but the DIL of the house.

Its true. i hope they both learn to find there way and figure out there relationship because they both are worth sticking around for people.

I do think we will get an extension of the bedroom scene. I think the yesterday's flashback to the rape scene was really brought back up so Kunj could realize that Twinkle literally put herself in most terrible situations to handle this situation.

Areeba - you have penned down each thought so beautifully. I don't have alot to add because I second your thoughts here

I so agree with your point about the cracks in a relationship and those cracks never fill ups o easily. You have to face alot of hardships in life to fill those cracks up. This will be a testing time for them and lets see how they unfold this story!

I so agree on your point about the positioning of the characters because that's how their role plays out. Usha is hell bent on proving that Twinkle is not a suitable daughter in law and when anita was siding with her opinion, she didn't think twice because it was validating her views!

BBebe is the real babe - the true rockstar of the show! she is the foundation of the whole family and her decisions have always been in the interest and well being of the family. i

In south-asian culture, mothers of sons are quick to use every trick in the book to makes sure that the son's love is not shared by wife. Although it's a highly unrealistic and sexist expectation, it lingers in our society and is evident not just in our TV shows and films but also in our families and general conversations. Men are usually put in an awkward position to choose between their family and wives. Only few families out of many manage to keep the balance with families and wives accepting each other with open arms.

I have witnessed alot of incidents like these; its so prevalent till now - sometimes its the husband who would ask their wives to chose between him and her family.

The thing is that Honor is a way of life South East Asian countries. Without honor, we don't have a way of life. Indians, Pakistanis, Bengalis: the common thread among the three nationalities is the family value system and the pedestal we put our honor on. I saw Gurleen's post about Twinkle getting a divorce and honestly, as much as a great option walking away would be for Twinkle, we will never see a girl willingly taking divorce on any Indian or Pakistani show. Till the end, the girl will try to make the relationship work. I think majority of us on this forum are international viewers and that is why we can't deal with he whole saas-bahu drama but these kind of situations (I'm sure not this much severe) are very prevalent in our society and culture. Our society repeatedly places our happiness and life satisfaction as a second priority.

this thought is still there abroad to areeba- i have see and witnessed alot of cases like these! someone very close had a worse scenario - she was part of domestic violence but still everyone was like you have to make this marriage work - why because she had sisters in the family, because she was the eldest! it was nerve wrecking to see - and what did people do in the end blamed her! She cannot divorce - why because she has a child! One can easily raise a child only if we as society encouraged her, rather than pulling her down!

sorry went of topic- its just heartbreaking to see that she had very little support from everyone including her family.

We live in a screwed up society - where everything in the world is a girls responsibility.
like always love reading your analysis! keep it up

Too long again? Please leave your thoughts!

Thank you for such a lovely response. I agree with you that the toxic south-asian mentality sticks out abroad too. Especially people who come in after spending their adolescence in South Asia, they feel more inclined to follow the toxic conventions of our society then developing their own personalities.

bebe is definitely a rockstar!! She is the best!

Gosh.. Areeba_blossom... if you had made this post yesterday... we would have been saved by conflicting ideas...different POVs... and different expectations from future tracks...
Your analysis... puts on a different light over the episode...to which many are blind including me... and while reading the post...we see the episode... with a different perspective... even better than while we watched it live...😊
