After watching yesterday's emotionally intense episode, I wasnt sure that I had to heart to watch today's one, especially after reading the update. There's only so much heartbreak one can take after all. But TEI is one of those shows where no matter how much it kills you inside, you always end up watching it eventually. So here I am after watching the episode and God, do I have a lot to get off my chest. Hence, bear with the length but hear me out.
After yesterday's episode I was both dreading and looking forward to the episode today! Reading the update and people's reactions got me even more curious, because having not even watched it, I could still safely say, both Twinkle and Kunj are STILL right in their respective places and Kunj's emotional outburst was inevitable! To begin, I'm going to take a moment to praise Sid once more because his voice modulation is so on point. There was a part in the first scene where he's shouting at Twinkle where his voice wavers a little and God, did my heart break into a thousand pieces again. Those emotions are so raw, they literally hit you with all kinds of feels. Anyway back to the scene, I'm glad in a way that he got it all of his chest and told her how it was. The distance between them would've escalated had he kept it all inside him and given her the silent treatment throughout. I can see where he's coming from too, Twinkle claims to have handled it, and as viewers, we know she went to great lengths to ensure that too but he's right. If she had truly handled it, the issue wouldn't have risen again, this situation would never have occurred. Poor Twinkle man seriously, I feel so bad for her.Sid once again shone in this scene and I know exactly which part you're talking about, because the raw hurt in his voice and the emotions just sucker punched me...I'm glad each know's where the other stands regarding the whole situation...Twinkle tried her level best in handling the issue and had it ONLY been Purvi and that guy acting alone, then yes it would be done and dusted and the matter would've been solved...I'm not sure even Kunj would've been able to handle it either, because neither of them know it's Yuvi playing the cat and mouse game with them and we don't know the turn the game would take had Kunj become involved...My heart literally wept for TwinklešTwinkle running after him in the car was just heart breaking. No matter what she does, she always ends up in compromised positions. Her belief that Kunj would never leave her seeing the car return literally killed me. The girl has so much trust in him and though she may score high in his priority list, she isn't his first. Yet to see how he redeems himself. I don't want to comment on this anymore. This part really hurt me and it was almost pitiful the way Twinkle was running behind Kunj and the car...No matter what the poor soul does, she's the one that has to pay the price and it really hurts to see her take knock after knock...I know she wants Kunj to listen to her, I get that but I also think she should give him the space because obviously he's running on emotional overload and is no mood to listen to her...I'm really looking forward to see how he redeems himself...Can I take a moment to say as much as I hate Yuvi right now, he shone throughout the episode. The TEI team really know how to utilise his character well. From his entrance in the car during Twinkle's breakdown to his expressions when Usha kicked Twinkle out the house. Zain Imam, no one couldve played Yuvraj Luthra better than yourself.
Yuvi is one of those characters, although you hate him you can't help but admire his tenacity and evil genius mind...The guy gets knocked down time and again where his plans are concerned yet doesn't give up...Another character that I absolutely adored today was Bebe as always! I want this woman in my life seriously. She really knows how to handle a situation properly. Her telling Anita to shut up was a bonus but I loved her confrontation with Usha during the kicking Twinkle out the house scene. You had me cheering Bebe.Bebe is a darling! I just knew that she'd be in Twinkle's corner! SHE should've been Kunj's Mum! She always has a firm control on situations and always makes the right decisions...As much as Kunj annoyed a lot of people today, I just cant get myself to judge him. I loved how to defended her against Anita regardless of how he feels currently. He may think she's childish yes, but he knows that she's not low or disgusting, and her character is pure. There is no way I'm going to judge Kunj...The dude is fighting an internal battle with his emotions...I can understand the tug of war that's going on in his mind right now...He knows Twinkle hasn't done anything to jeopardise his family's reputation hence his defence of her against Anita, yet he wishes she had gone to him with the whole issue...Usha frustrates me. Like I want to rock her by the shoulders and scream 'wake up woman!' Her threat of suicide was a low blow but I wasnt even surprised quite honestly. I understand her plight though, her husbands on the verge of life and death and everything is pointing towards Twinkle. Considering she didnt like Twinkle to begin with, I didnt expect her to give her the benefit of a doubt anyway.Usha is useless! Like I don't understand HOW she can't seem to recognise Twinkle's innate goodness? The emotional manipulation was bound to happen, because she just KNOWS someone will give in to her, and she probably even thought it better it was Twinkle herselfI loved that Twinkle was the one to remove the knife from her hands rather than anyone else. Was it just me or did Kunj's expression soften when she was speaking to Usha? It definitely did! Remember that time he slapped her when Bebe fell down the stairs and she still advocated his innocence to the police? YES. That's the same softness I saw. Like he couldnt believe that even though his mother had slapped her and told her all sorts, this girl was leaving the house for her sake, to save her life. Twinkle definitely won brownie points there in Kunj's eyes even though we may not clearly see it yet.In a way I'm happy that it was Twinkle who took the initiative to leave and removed the knife from Usha's hand...It goes to show she just wants their happiness...And you're right his expression did soften and he looked really torn as well...On one hand wanting to stop her but unable to do so because of the current circumstances...I'm going to let Meghana write about the Hamari Adhuri Kahaani track playing during her leaving the house because she'll do a much better job than if I attempted it lol. But I just want to say that I could literally feel the inner battle Kunj was having with himself. One side, his mother and the other, his wife. And at this point in time, his mother prioritises higher than Twinkle and she knows that too! When she said "Kunj ko apki zaroorat hai" when she removed the knife from Usha's hand, it was a clear indication of her acknowledgement about his mother's place in his life. Seriously TwiNj, you guys will kill me with you cuteness one day.It really saddened me to watch Twinkle leave, coupled with the song it was a really poignant moment...Kunj looked helpless and tornšNow to the most important and controversial part of the episode. Kunj in his room, throwing out Twinkle's clothes from the cupboard and turning her picture down. I have to admit, when I read the update, I felt the same as most people, like how the hell could he do that?! But my feelings have changed after I actually watched the episode.Seriously guys, I feel that Kunj's frustration and reaction is a pretty normal psychological reaction to have in this situation. He feels betrayed and hurt by the one person he thought would not do that to him, especially after their recent few encounters. He even says it himself, they were just starting to trust each other again but her 'betrayal' ruined everything. They were a team and she broke that partnership by hiding the truth from him. I havent majored in Psychology but I have studied it briefly before so any Psychology majors feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. When a person is extremely hurt or feels betrayed, you immediately think to isolate yourself from anything that reminds you of them. Think about it in terms of breaking up in a relationship. You dispose of everything that person has given you so that you are not reminded of them constantly. You might even go away for a while just to get away from the familiar surroundings where you have shared memories with that person. I think Kunj is going through that stage right now. He's angry, hurt and feels betrayed. The feeling of betrayal is quite a dangerous one because it can affect people very differently. You can become vengeful and act out for revenge. You can become extremely broken and give up on life. These are just some extreme phases I wanted to touch upon for you to get my jist. Kunj right now doesnt want to see her face or hear her voice because those things will constantly remind him of the hurt and betrayal she caused him to experience. It's a very normal thing to think that if you rid yourself from the things that remind you of the thing that hurt you, your pain will eventually go away too. Unfortunately it doesnt, not straight away anyway, and I'm sure Kunj will realise this in the next few episodes. I'm literally betting on it right now. Once he gets over his immediate hurt and anger, he'll begin to see things much more clearly. And we'll finally get to see him standing up for Twinkle and fighting beside her.Kunj's emotional outburst was inevitable and he was pouring out his frustrations in the only way he knew how...Many a time in reality if an individual is frustrated or helpless in a particular scenario they'll go away in a private corner to vent...That is esactly what Kunj is doing...The good thing is he isn't taking out his frustrations directly out on Twinkle...It's the situation that's causing him to...Kunj has reached his breaking point, the culmination of events, from Manohar's heart attack, to Twinkle's revelation to her leaving the house has taken it's toll and the helplessness he's got to be feeling because of all this is not easy on him...He needed an outlet hence his outburst...The cobwebs of his muddled emotions are clouding is rational thinking...Once they clear I'm pretty sure we'll see him taking steps to set everything right...This post got wayyy too long but I'm so positive about this. I literally cant wait! Please leave your thoughts and comments.Would love to hear your POVs!
I love long postsš I really look forward to reading people's thoughts on the episode and your's was an enjoyable read!
