What the hell is she trying to prove?

Diya Aur Baati Hum when it started was a great show. It showed how a married woman becomes IPS officer with her husband support. It is still good. It was the number 1 show

Shows like YRKKH are still running and doing well. And there is no OTT or negativity in that show. It gives the right message.

Naagin is working not because it is OTT but because it is an intriguing show with good actors. PKHJD was on sony. Ajeeb dastaan was on Life ok. Both the channels are flop channels. That is why they flopped. Also pyaar ko ho jane do was not an amazing show. It was strictly okay.

YHM was path breaking when it started and it was doing very well. But she ruined it by bringing all the negativity.

Don't blame the audience because you're at fault. Audience accept good shows.

That is why shows like Bidaai, YRKKH, DABH, SGP are considered epic and pathbreaking and NOT KIs desh, Pratigya, etc

I think its both producers and audience's fault that crappy shows are number one right now, but as someone else mentioned that just give audience the content driven shows then the audience will change its mindset as well. Why else would the Pak shows be so well received

Indian tv as a whole needs a revamp, shoot better quality shows (YRF shows, Yudh, Siya Ke Ram Naagin, Everest etc from newer times) have finite shows, or adopt the season format instead of drag fests, make the shows weekly so the writers and actors have a chance to explore more options and work on their craft. There have been really great shows that started off well or had a great concept but lose their way due to the TRP race and fall into the same old same old crap.

Say what you want about Ekta but she knows the audience well and thats why she keeps on serving them her type of shows, but I don't think that her shows can be deemed as regressive compared to other shows like DABH or SNS or SSK and the atrocious zee shows (like Sarojini and YVR), With Naagin, it's actually quite a gripping show with a solid storyline and great cast, sure its OTT and out there but the story is so interesting and it does have compelling characters, the three leads are developed quite well (at least compared to the other idiots portrayed on colors tv) and then American tv too has some out there W*F fantasy/scifi shows like Walking Dead, The vampire diaries, OUaT and Teen Wolf. As long as the content is good and the script can support it, then why not.

Ekta's shows are nothing compared to gulkahan and rashmi sharma's shows when it comes to being regressive.These two producers make the shows so chauvinist so unbearable so illogical, I feel they deliberately write foolish script to shock the audience😕

whatever she said it is right, desi audience just do not want to watch anything that is progressive, even in the so called progressive shows like YHM , Ekta always had those regressive elements like bechari heroine, arrogant hero, sauten who is sexy, kids who need mother, so YHM is not what we call a game changing show.

Nagin is a pure gem, nobody in India could animate such beautiful plastic golden and black colored naagins who look more like accessorieswith plastic pipes being stretched from their back . Ekta is a gem, from Naagins to shehansha Akbar telling " I love you " to Jodha, and then Ishita fighting with crocodile , she invented everything .. Salute
