Today ram giving and then placing the hair accessory was of great importance.

It is the choodamani that Sita with hand over to hanuman to give it to ram to convey her faith in him.

A direct lift from the earlier Ramayan of Ramanand sagar. That is the 2nd bedroom scene of them together n last in that serial. And maybe from Ramcharitmanas.

Nothing to do with lifting. The scene is necessary.

If Ramayan is made another 10 times they will have to show this scene.

According to Valmiki Ramayan the choodamani that Sita gave to Hanuman was the one given to her by her father Raja Janak on her wedding...it's clearly mentioned towards the end of Sunderkaand when Hanuman gives it to Ram and Ram tells Lakshman about it .

All the stories I heard was passed on from my grandmother. 😊.

But the choodamani does play a vital role.

It's like our pan card . Proof of identity that hanuman met Sita.

Choodamani is the sign of being married, for a woman ...there was no mangalsutra back then .

When Sitawas being abducted , she throws all other jewellery so that if Rama comes in search of her , he should recognise those jewellery but Choodamani was with her, she had to make a point in Lanka , that she was married!

Only when she is convinced about Hanuman being Rama's messenger and , on receiving the ring , she parts with her Choodamani so that Rama is assured that Sita was waiting for him to be rescued.

That was a beautiful scene Jayashree. I knew it is choodamani only and for once it is created very beautifully by SKR designers.

Was confused as I have read it is a gift from Sita's mother. But yes that crest jewel is what Sita going to give to Hanuman.

When ram said I have a gift. I felt it will be choodamni.

Shruthi u remember the name of the ring ram sends through hanuman. I somehow feel there was a name. But not sure

@jayashree it is a signet ring actually.I am not sure whether Ram's name is there in the ring. And yes covering of the choodamani with the pallu reminded me that it is a symbolism of he will always protect her honor.
