Sonam gets lucky as after Bhansali she bags 'Rang de Basanti' director's next.

When the promos of 'Saawariya' were unveiled, fans were quite impulsive to comment that Sonam was quite an average looking girl and that she bagged the role because of her famous actor dad, Anil Kapoor.

The girl next door is all set to prove the Bollywood fans wrong as insiders claim that she has acted brilliantly in 'Saawariya' and is looking splendid. In fact, Sonam has impressed some big names in the Bollywood fraternity including Rakesyh Om Prakash of 'Rang De Basanti' fame.

Rakesyh, who has already started his next 'Dilli 6', is now having a tough time casting for his movie and he has changed the male lead a good 6 times; from Hrithik to Abhishek to Ranbir all have been casted for the male lead.

Kareena and Soha were 2 names initially short-listed for the female lead but, now neither of the girls ended up scoring the role as Rakesyh has approached Sonam and he is keen on casting her opposite Abhishek or Ranbir, the 2 strong contenders for the movie.

If sources are to be believed then, it would be Abhishek and Sonam but, we still hope that we get to see the awesome 'Saawariya' pair together in 'Dilli 6'.

👏 .....Sonam is pure magic in front of the camera....I hope it's Sona-Bir in Dilli6, even though I love Aby Baby....but high time Abjr pairs up with Aias again. Guru was cool stuff. 😳

was rakesh at the premiere?? i hope he was. everyone is raving about their fabulous chemistry. and if he wasn't i hope he is watching saawariya and makes up his mind abt ranbir. oh plz. anyways...ranbir is a fab actor and he has a good body...abhi needs to get rid of his flab b4 he can stand next to sona!!

i think dilli 6 would be a good second movie to do.
