Yes Dev doesnt want to see his mother unhappy. He wants happiness for his sister. A girl who is very much psychologically affected as a child. A girl who was forced to grow up beyond her age and take care of 2 younger siblings.

That burden of becoming a mother at young age broke the girl mentally to the extend when the time came for becoming a mother she doesnt want to be one.

And Sameer he had agreed to her condition once, but he feels she should change that condition. Because he needs child. He could have waited. Normally when woman feel completely in love, respected in married life the need to have a baby comes naturally to most of them. Neha too would have got that.

But if Sameer was not willing to take risk it was better the relation broke of at this point. But now Dev has decided to buy his sister's happiness with 30% shares. Yes Sameer might agree today.

What later. What if he keeps Neha's happiness as a tool to blackmail Dev in future. To get favours. To get money.

Dev will move in a whirlpool trying to keep everything from his mother. He will burn in the fire, and if he gets no one to share it, it will be damn difficult for him to reach shore.

His need to keep his mother happy by hiding things from her is going to land him in deep deep trouble in future.

I agree..I felt that sameer's mom agreed to this marriage only bcz they're rich..I won't be surprised if they blackmail Dev in future in the name of his sister's happiness. .already he is guilty about the negativity created in neha's mind..He would go to any extent to make her happy..

i feel the episode today was a downer Shruti di! That entire angle of Neha's motherhood could have been dealt with more realistically. The first approach could easily have been talking it out with both of them simultaneously! Dev has himself opened a loop that is bound to bring about a heavy downfall someday or the other! I feel it was an unnecessary angle! Neha's psych was brought in nicely but apart from that I did not find the episode that great!

Neha doen't seem like a girl who can be blackmailed or something.

I feel she's gonna act like a spoiled brat with her in-laws, and when they doesn't take her crap like her brother does, she will realize what a gem her brother is😳

But yes, I agree with you Dev shouldn't have solved it like that.

He should have told their mother how Neha's childhood made her bitter toward the mother-son bond. Mothers can handle these things better I feel😃.

If he agreed to marry neha for 30% shares, then it s clear he s greedy n he s nt good person.
I feel if neha comes to know about his brother offering 30% share for her happiness, it vl hurt her. Neha seems to be mature n responsible but she has some dislikes towards her brother bcoz of her mom's over caring nature or love towards her brother. But in future this vl create big MU bet bro-sis bcoz neha s definetly nt gng to think that all dev did only for her happiness. So its better if they stop this marraige at this point of time. It vl hurt his mom n his sister but eventually they vl move on. Her mom-in-law s also gvg negative vibes n also mami seems to be nt good abt their progress.

@meself Neha is a psychologically affected child. Dev knows it, but I don't think Ishwari knows it or even acknowledges it. But what I understand from Neha's dialogues is that as a boy Dev was given preference. He was sent to best school, while her studies were stopped after primary school and she was given the responsibility of younger siblings. Dev understands that Neha childhood paid the price of his betterment. But like in many Indian families where the daughters are expected to understand, not demand Ishwari doesn't seem to have realized a bit, the emotional toil her elder daughter has taken and the path it is leading her to . Neha in real sense needs psychological therapy by a specialist. But indian families don't take steps to correct mental problems in the nip. They allow it to fester in name of traditions the same way Dev does. And then one fine day it will explode. And it is a necessary angle Meself. For Ishwari to see the mirror. When she didn't even like Dev taking one bucket of water, she expected little Neha to take care of two kids. When she build Dev's future, she brought down Neha's future. So to build back Neha's future, when Dev goes in drain, that imbalance and her mistake will stare at her. And maybe that will be the point where Dev's love will step in . To protect him.

@Halima by buying happiness for Neha, Dev has opened a loop. Sameer is going to exploit it to the hilt and Neha once she knows her brother has solved this problem, she will come to him with next problem.

@charanyaaj if not today but tomorrow Sameer is gonna yearn for baby. Is it written somewhere that he has promised Neha that it is fine for him not to have a baby. So once they have taken everything from Dev, they will dump Neha also and will try to marry second time. Court also agree on it when the man says woman is unwilling to have kid and he wants kid.

Agree completely to what u said. Neha needs help. maybe she needs to complete her studies & stand upon her own feet or do something(you do not need proper education to be successful in career) that makes her financially independent, so that she gets her confidence back. though i feel dev understands his sister v well the way she is hating her life and wants to help her. With all the financial recources he has He shud have first worked towards the above instead of fixing her marriage. But who knows maybe ishwari was keen to marry her so dev overlooked what should have been done. And this is where he lacks in balance in relations. he shud be doing what is right for his sister which shud not be related to what his mother wants. he is trying to solve neha's issue but not doing it in the right way. Also he is not doing the right thing by hiding his sisters issues from her mother.

Also im surprised to see Iswari so disconnected with her daughter. i find neha's anger very justified after all she was the one who had to drop out of school and had to fulfill responsibilities of her mother. at an age where all children go to school she has missed so much in her life. Even now she fails to see what her daughter has turned into.

@bold you are so right a mother has take equal care of all her children. she cannot focus on one and forget the other. I am shocked that she had to dropout of school. i was thinking it was a case of spending more on devs education than her. She could have joined neha to a afternoon school . dev goes to school in morning, comes back in the afternoon & neha goes to school while dev takes care of his siblings. i know of kids who after their mothers death who have managed both taking care of siblings & studies both. Ans the younger sibling also will go to school in some years, so neha after a break could have been sent along with them. There are solutions to problems And ishwari like dev did not balance the love for her son & daughter. Im not at all impressed with her character & now shes also going to create more conflict in devs love life.make him torn between two sides

And i think dev more than being indebted to his mother should be indebted to his sister for every mom will struggle & take care of her son, while his sisters life was spoilt in making him reach where he is. she hates the very idea of motherhood that every girl eagerly waits for in her life.

@naq you bought a good point. Dev should be doing what is right for his sister, not what his mother thinks right for his sister.

Dev was send to best school, but couldn't both kids sent to government school. A good student studies wherever he or she is.

But the son preference which the Indian family has and not understanding the needs of the daughter has created the problem Neha and Dev is in.

Ishwari seems to be totally oblivious of what Neha has turned out to be...either that or she's too obsessed with what Dev has become.

Dev is trying to buy happiness for his mother. But I also noticed that when Neha said about Raksha Bandhan, he actually fell for that. He was ready to go to any lengths to make things right between him & Neha.
