My classmate's mother was too busy hosting parties for her husband and her children used to feel neglected
There are one or two others too who just like other

Came across only one collector's wife who had a full time career in a bank she was a friend of my aunt

.

I guess it depends on an individual.. I have few in my family. None of them are P3 page types not have they set up anything like a NGO. they are normal homemakers and one of them is a doctor and has her professional life.
And it's unfair to say Anandi didn't try to adapt to her new family.. She had in many areas and Shiv never really wanted her to lose her style or past

Anandi had choices before her when she married Shiv. She could have embraced the life which included partying and shopping with Sanchi and her friends or be like Ira and Meenu sit at home and make samosas or have a full time career. She made her choice to spend more time with Shiv's family and what ever tine she had she used it for her Bhaili.Which is much more fruitful than what Ira Meenu or Sanchi had been doing with their lives.
------------------------

As for collectors the only collector who was found to be worthy of my respect was Shivraj Shekhar.Unfortunately he was only a fictional character.😛

Speaking for myself I have very little respect for collectors from the real world. Whether they make good collectors are bad collectors it is entirely dependent on whether they are good human beings are not and not dependent on their ability to clear some exam.

Speaking of IAS exam - This is the only exam they have to pass in life and once they are in their growth in career is dependent not so much on their efficiency but seniority unlike other professions where they have to prove themselves at every step to get promoted to the next level.

True. She did her best to adapt herself into the new world that she had stepped into.It is just that she didn't want to be like another Ira Meenu. She learnt to cook what they liked her dressing even though it remained Gaghra Choli till the end had undergone changes she learnt to find her way through the city and she found a way to help the unfortunate people she came across through her Bhaili.
She gave up everything for him and he embraced her with all the emotional baggage she came with.
It was a give and take relationship from both sides.

And since Anandi was not that type, she is a graceful woman?

How many people here know collectors and their wives personally, to keep passing hollow comments about them?

Why is it overly assumed that collectors' wives are good for nothing party goers?

If Anandi went out partying, nothing wrong with it and if she didn't that's still fine. But why degrade other real life people without knowing about them?

When Anandi got married to Shiv, she was like any other 24 year old who was well educated, belonged to a good family, got into a good sasural and had a life that was dream come true.

But unlike most normal 24 year olds and just marrieds, Anandi didn't make any efforts to know her inlaws or to fit into their culture or to pursue a career .

She started to become a good for nothing cardboard cut out leading an aimless existence, who neither succeeded as a housewife nor a career woman. She neither succeeded as bahu, patni, beti or maa... one confused soul is what she remained to be.

And such confused souls are compared to real life collectors' wives, whom people actually know nothing about?

Very true. The way it is written about collectors wives, it looks as if Collectors are some celebrities or industrialists that their wives are meant to socialize and entertain themselves and their husbands guests.

Collectors are merely govt servants and they are not pg 3 people. 🥱

Ira, I think, had passed that foolish comment before some idiotic journalists that their DIL does not cut ribbons and party.

However, as you said Missesha, she was successful neither as a career woman nor as a DIL.

Also again and again it is written about her Bhaili. What was shown about that bhaili?

A handful of women doing something that they already knew to do and anandi selling their products.

Even those women cheated her later and went their own way by joining anup. After that who knows what happened to her bhaili.

Her bhaili was also a failure.

How can we say it was a failure? Not enough evidence to conclude either ways as they haven't shown anything about its operations post leap or whether Anandi closed it or handed it over
She may not be a great success professionally today but nothing to show that SN or Bhaili are failed ventures

Wasnt it a failure when all women left her to join Anup?

We conclude that her Bhaili is no more running because she was not shown even once mentioning Bhaili or traveling to Udaipur to look after the affairs of bhaili.

SN is what she is running now.

Actually what they showed about Anup snatching Bhaili's women was quite a bloper and indicative that the MD i.e. Anandi handled her organisation quite poorly.

Yes, poaching happens but not overnight. Employees need to resign and give notice period. People just don't disappear the next day like that.

Moreover at first Bhaili was shown to be a cooperative society when it first started and it was like that until saanchi joined them. So I wonder when did it become Anandi's company / NGO and at what point did the associates turn into employees.

In short... if we look into nitty gritties of Bhaili and its operations, it will look as a poorly handled and a failed venture.

@bold - I wanted to point out this for long - for me Bhaili was just hogwash - something that was only praised and nothing really shown. Poaching can happen from one company to another - but Bhaili was something like cooperative initially (and we read pages how Anandi helped women through Bhaili 😕) in cooperative - the group work together and there is no owner and therefore - it was not something that Anandi was helping these women - the women themselves were producing goods and selling it. But in forum - it was always treated as Anandi's NGO.

That was one incident yes which was very abrupt. But still not enough to conclude I would say.
Her not mentioning or going to Udaipur - there are many threads pre leap which have been completely forgotten post leap.
Yes SN is the one she is running now..have seen quite a few posts on where is it getting funded etc.. Hence added that the CVs haven't shown enough for us to conclude on both .
However agree they didn't show anything to show it was a successful venture
