Kunj woke up early in the morning. He quickly switched off the alarm as he did not want her to wake up. Last night was a nightmare. It was their second anniversary well the first one after their confession and Kunj really wanted to make that day special for her. However due to a lot of work related stress he completely forgot and returned home late after a series of important meetings. He was greeted by an angry Twinkle.
"Kunj ajj ki date kya hain?" Twinkle asked
"19 October oh shit" Kunj said as he finally realized
"Oh shit indeed you forgot didn't you and don't you dare lie to me"
"Woh Twinkle nai project ki wajah she kaam main itna busy tha kay I forgot. I am sorry" Kunj said
"Sorry my foot matalb meray say zyada kaam important hain theek hain Kunj Sarna tum karo apna kaam mujhay tum say koi baat nahi karni" Twinkle was fuming with anger
"Twinkle meri baat toh suno" Kunj grabbed her hand to stop her from leaving
"Kaha na koi baat nahi karni mujhay" Twinkle said and removed his hand and walked out of the room
"Kunj tu itna stupid keisay ho sakta hain kia kia plans banay thay aur tu date hi bhool gaya abb iss ko keisay manao soch Kunj soch" Kunj mused to himself
"Icecream lay ahata hun iss ki favorite" Kunj thought just then Twinkle came in the room
"Woh neechay Maa aur bubbly ahay hain cake lay kar we have to cut it lets go"
"Twinkle..."He said but she stopped him in the middle
"Kunj please bas neechay chalo lets get this over with"
Both of them went downstairs.
"Di aur jiju ahagay finally kesi thi app logo ki second anniversary" Bubbly asked
Both Kunj and Twinkle remained silent and just looked at each other.
"Lagta hain app dono main phir tashan shuda hogaya hain" Bubbly smiled at them
They quickly cut the cake. Kunj wanted to feed her the first piece but she refused saying that she wasn't that hungry. After half an hour everyone left. Now it was really late so Kunj could not get the icecream as the shop would have closed. They both came in the room. Twinkle moved her pillow to the sofa.
"Tum bed par soh jaon main sofa par so jaon ga" Kunj said and kept her pillow on the bed again. She did not say anything in return. The silence was deafening between them and was slowly driving Kunj crazy.
"Twinkle please at least talk to me kuch bi kaho beshak lado mujsay ya bura bhala kha please talk to me"
Twinkle still didn't speak up and turned to the other side so she was not facing him anymore. Kunj knew she was really angry he had to do something. He was going to take a break from the office tomorrow and make the day special for her.
He got up to put his plan in motion. He took one of Twinkle's lipstick and scribbled a message on the mirror.
Twinkle got up a few minutes later.
"Good morning sleepy head" Kunj said
"Kunj please kaha than a koi baat nahi karni"
"Acha baba at least padh to sakti ho na.To waha samnay dekho" Kunj pointed towards the mirror
The message said:
"Sorry Happy belated anniversary. I love you😊"
Twinkle's anger melted.
"How about we celebrate are anniversary today kya khayal hain biwi?"
"Nice idea" She said
"Chalo phir ready ho jaon"
"Wait a minute tum nay konsi lipstick use ki?"She asked
"Who koi red wali thi"
"You idiot woh mac ki limited edition lipstick thi aur tumnay abhi batati hu tumhay" She hit him with a pillow
"Twinkle tu"
She again hit him with a pillow.
"Bolnay toh do. Baba ji kitni jangli biwi hain meri." Kunj said
"Tumnay mujhay jangli kaha" She again hit him
"Bas bohot ho gaya" He also hit her with a pillow.
Soon the entire room was covered in feathers and their laughter echoed in the room.
