FORBIDDEN TALE OF LOVE
It was a beautiful full moon night & the stars were twinkling, illuminating the deserted streets. A beautiful girl, approximately 17-18 yrs old was running for her life. She was bleeding due to a deep wound on her back.She looked back every now & then to make sure that she was not being followed. Suddenly, she stopped to rest for a while, but still her small heart shaped face was restless at the thought of being caught. She looked side to side making sure no one can see her. She was in a dark alley of her kingdom "Land of Gods & Angels" which had just been invaded by her rival kingdom "Land of Demons".
She could feel fear gripping her heart as she heard footsteps approaching near her.
"No...I can't give up now...I want to live...I can't surrender myself to these demons...No...I can't...I am the angel of beauty & they all want me as a trophy...I can't let it happen," she thought. Her every muscle tensed up as she heard the footsteps approaching too close to her. Her wounds were paining due to her ripped wings. Some demon soldiers burned her wings & she had no choice other than ripping it off from her body. A tear escaped from her eyes remembering her loss.
"My wings...My beautiful wings," she sobbed. She remembered how she used to fly high up on the sky , monitoring the activities of mortals. But before she breaks down completely, she again heard the sounds of footsteps that alerted her senses.
"They are here...They will take me," she panicked.
"I have to hide...but where?" she thought as she looked side to side.
"Got it," she smiled in relief & entered an old cottage at the end of the alley. It was left abandoned for years & people also don't come here much. It was full of cobwebs & the rooms were dark & damped. The thick layer of dusty floor made marks of her footsteps as she hurriedly ascended the stairs for finding a suitable place to hide. There were five rooms, but each one of them was locked. Tears cascaded as she heard the demons in downstairs whispering among themselves.
"They are here...now what to do?" she shed silent tears. Her dignity was at stake & she had no one who could be her savior. She is the angel of beauty who served her lord with loyalty & with utmost honesty for a very long time after she was created by Archangel Jophiel. She was given the job to spread the Power of Light within oneself. She was also given the responsibility to fight pollution, clean up our planet and bring to mankind the gift of Beauty. She also provided inspiration for artistic and intellectual thought providing help with artistic projects and to see the beautiful things around us. She was not a soldier & knows nothing about combat to protect herself from these demons who were probably waiting to pounce upon her.
Suddenly a strong hand dragged her towards the end of the corridor.
"Who are u?" she tried to scream but words came out of her mouth in a barely audible whisper. The whole corridor was so dark that she could not see anything at an arm length. Probably that was the reason that she didn't notice anyone near her in the dark corridor.
"Someone who can save ur ass," the shadow replied with a heavy baritone.
"Leave me...let me go...please, I beg u," she cried.
"SShhh...u will alert them," the voice hissed in anger. She tried to protest by opening her mouth, but stopped realizing that he was right. She had to hide herself from those demons. They found a huge statue of Jesus at the end of the corridor in the moonlight that entered through the huge window. She tried to look at her savior, but could only see his back. He was wearing a black tuxedo & he was quite taller & muscular.
"We have to hide here...the place under the statue is small...U are petite...So, I will hide first & then u will get inside & sit on my lap...okay?" the shadow said. Before she could protest, he hid himself & pulled the small curtain under the statue.
"My lord, save ur child," she prayed & took a long breath. She knelt down & crawled to get inside & adjusted herself on the lap of the stranger.
The stranger pulled her closer to his muscular & well-toned body. She could feel his strong defined arms when she brushed her trembling hands from his broad shoulders to his biceps. She inhaled a strong smell of tobacco as if he had just smoked a cigarette. Her mind screamed DANGER' but she ignored it & enjoyed the sudden feel of excitement & arousal in her body which she never felt before.
"U should calm down, u know?" the voice sniggered. She looked at him sharply, feeling highly embarrassed.
"If u continue to be like this, then we will probably end up in having sex under the statue...I am sure no one ever tried it before," the voice smirked. Her cheeks turned into a deep shade of pink. She tried to calm her pounding heartbeats.
"Sorry...I was never close to anyone of opposite sex," she said meekly. She could feel his intense eyes on her which send shivers down her spine. She looked up & they had a brief eye lock, before she again lowered her eyes. Her mind replayed his beautiful pitch black eyes & dark jet black hair falling & curtaining his long forehead.
"Beautiful," she thought.
"What's ur name?" the voice asked her in a low husky tone as he continued to look at her intensely.
"My real name is Aphrodite...But I am known by different names in different places when I go for surveying on earth," she replied timidly.
"What do they call u here?" the voice asked again.
"Madhu..." she replied.
"And u?" she asked looking back at his jet black eyes.
"I am Vincent...but they call me Rishabh ," he replied.
"Rishabhhh..." She whispered as if memorizing his name in her mind.
After 1 hr,
"I think they have left...we should leave as soon as possible," Rishabh broke the awkward silence between them. As if she woke up from a beautiful dream, she looked at him disappointed.
"Let's go..." he whispered again. She nodded her head approving his advice, but her heart screamed, "Will they ever meet again?"
Madhu & Rishabh came out of the cottage together. They looked side to side making sure that demons were not anywhere near them. They passed the narrow lanes & the huge chapel at the end of the boundary of Land of Gods'. They stopped near the bridge which separated the mortal & the immortal world. Both of them were panting due to constant running. She held his waist & he pulled her closer, hiding her face into his chest.
She knew that it was time for bidding goodbye to her savior which made her sad. She looked at him closely under the moonlight before leaving him behind forever. She noticed that he had perfect refined facial features, high cheekbones, perfect jawline & chin.His hairs were disheveled which made him look even sexier. He also studied her perfect features. Her small heart shaped face with rounded forehead & full cheeks made her epitome of innocence & beauty. Her flawless skin was glowing under the moonlight. Her eyes were beautiful, very large, wide & almond-shaped with long thick eyelashes which made them very expressive & soulful. Her small, straight, slender & delicate nose and her femininely arched eyebrows made her even more beautiful. Her well-shaped full-lips and her long lustrous wavy hair over her swan-like neck made her even more tempting to his eyes.
"Good job, RK...U have at last captured the Angel of beauty...Father would be so proud of u" suddenly a voice interrupted their beautiful moment. She turned her head to see an army of demons surrounding them. The one who interrupted their moment came near them & patted RK's back with appreciation.
"I am proud of u bro", the demon with blue eyes said to him.
"Bro?" Madhu looked at RK shocked at the revelation. In return, he looked at her with his black eyes, revealing his demonic identity.
"Ur eyes" Madhu stepped back in horror.
"I know...Captivating," RK smirked.
"U are a demon too", she asked with an unbelievable expression.
"Yes, I am the younger prince of Land of demons... & he is Manveer, my eldest brother & the future king of the Land of demons...U were not easy to find...So , when I found u , I thought to have some fun," RK replied with a dirty smirk.
"And I really enjoyed it," he said huskily in her ear. It was hard for her to explain what she felt at that moment - shocked at the revelations, fear of losing her dignity to the demons or pain of betrayal. Her whole body trembled in extreme horror thinking about the worst possibilities of humiliation that those demons would love to inflict on her. RK came in front of her & inserted a needle into her arm.
"Demon blood," she gasped in horror. All she could do was to blink her eyelashes before losing her consciousness in RK's arms. Maanveer came forward & tried to touch Madhu , but he stopped him saying, "I can handle her."
After 5 days
In the castle of Land of Gods & Angels
It was midnight when Madhu was made to sit forcibly on the decorated bed of RK. The last 5 days were the worst days in her eternal life. She was shown as a trophy to all the demons. Every one of them wanted to feel her, touch her with their filthy hands. But, luckily they were not allowed to do so as the king of the demons strictly forbidden it. There was a kind of hush among all of them regarding who would win the chance of being her master for the rest of her life. It was a tough choice, but the king finally decided to award RK for his bravery & intelligence and made him her master for the rest of her life.
"It's the worst nightmare," she closed her eyes in pain. She bit her lips to stop her sobs. She could hear the sounds of clinking glasses, chatting, applause, big cheering for RK in the party hall. She felt self-loathing for liking RK even for a moment.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching RK's room. She stood up in fear & pulled up her heavy gown to prepare herself for the worst. The door opened with a loud thud. A gush of wind entered the room & she again smelt the familiar strong smell of smoke. She closed her eyes as the smell filled her nostrils. She whispered, "RK..."
"Yes, urs RK...only urs..." a voice whispered near her ear, making her jump in fear. She opened her eyes to see RK looking at her with eyes full of love.
"LOVE? No, it can't be...She is imagining things...DEMONS CAN'T LOVE...THEY CAN ONLY LUST U," she thought, but her heart wished that may be RK loves her & it was all a part of her nightmare.
"How could u betray my trust?" she asked him with pain evident in her voice. "Jophiel was right...Demons lie...They are manipulative & can't be trusted" she said as her voice choked with overflowing emotions.
"First of all, demons don't lie...they just know how to get what they want by their strong will & intelligence...We too have a heart & we can also love" RK hissed.
"Demons with a heart?...Well I think the people whom u killed mercilessly for power will disagree with u," Madhu replied sarcastically.
"We don't kill anyone...Infact we barely raise our fingers...People are weak, full of jealousy, lust, insecurity...they fight among themselves & die...& angels are always bounded by rules & regulations & are always scared of disobeying even if it is for the right cause...We are never scared...We do what we actually want to do...We are governed by our strong wills & determination," RK replied sternly.
"That's why u betrayed my trust & brought me here," Madhu asked him as tears flowed down her cheeks. She touched them & was amazed to see one of the humanly qualities in her - EMOTIONS.
"I wanted to save u. That's why I lied in front of them. Now, we can leave without any fear. Every one of them is unconscious due to the effect of Angel's blood in their system," RK said, looking away.
"U...U did this...for me?" she gasped in shock. RK nodded his head.
"I mixed angel's blood in their drinks...The whole town is unconscious...We must hurry up," RK said as he took out his small bag & packed some demon's knife in case they needed to fight. Madhu's eyes welled up with tears as she saw the demon who risked his life & betrayed his family & his countrymen for her.
At the boundary of kingdom Land of Gods & Angels
RK & Madhu reached the bridge which was separating the mortal world with the immortal world. All the guards were not on duty due to the grand celebration in the palace for the victory. They had killed every single angel on earth. So, they were relaxed & thus the guards were granted one day leave & invited to the party too. He hopped down his demon Centaur & helped Madhu to climb down. He looked side to side to ensure that they were not followed.
"Take this Madhu...I have kept some money in the bag...It will help u to start a new life among the mortals" he said. Then he took out a small box from his pocket & opened it. A bright glow illuminated their faces.
"It is Lucifer's ring...As long as it is with u, no demon can track u down," he whispered. He took out his diamond chain to hold the ring on it. Then he turned her & set aside her long wavy hair.He noticed her deep scars on her back. He touched them, making Madhu wince in pain.
"Is it paining too much?" RK asked her. He felt responsible for her pains. He leaned down & kissed her back , making all her wounds to heal. "How did u do it?" Madhu gasped in shock. "I have a gift to heal others," he smiled at her. Then he took the chain with the ring in his hand & made her wear it.
"It will always protect u Madhu," he whispered in her ear & then kissed her hair. She inhaled sharply feeling his soft lips again. He made her wear the chain with the ring & then turned her to face him. He cupped her small beautiful face & looked at her intensely as if he was capturing her every single feature. Then he leaned down to kiss her forehead & pulled away. But Madhu stopped him & pulled him closer.
"Madhu.." he whispered softly. His hot breaths fanning on her face making her shudder in want.
"Come with me," she whispered back.
"I can't..." he replied, shaking his head.
"Why?" she asked him disappointed with his reply. "They must be awake by now...I have to be here to distract them all my life...Even if u have the power & protection of Lucifer's ring, I can't take the risk...What if anyone finds u accidentally?" RK shuddered at the thought.
"I can't leave without u, RK...I love u...& I wanted to be with u," she said. RK's heart beat faster hearing her say the 3 magic words. He stared at her glassy eyes & it pained him.
"If u can't come with me, then I will be with u...I am not leaving u alone here," she said stubbornly.
"Don't be foolish...There is no guarantee that I will be ur master all ur life...They will torture u & have their ways with u," RK said trying to convince her. "Go...enjoy ur life...Do whatever u want to do...It's ur life & from today , only u will have the power to control ur life...No one can dictate u...If u stay happy, I will be happy," RK smiled at her.
"I will be looking for u all my life...So, never think that u are alone...My trusted demon friends will be in ur protection," he assured her.
"Why, RK? Why do u care for me so much? What am I to u?" she asked him desperately.
"Because I love u Madhubala... Since the time I met u I've experienced things that I have never thought I was capable of experiencing. Whenever I see u , my world stops there...I see no further...U have absorbed me with ur innocence, ur honesty & ur sincerity of feelings for me...Ur love is my religion & I can die for it ...My creed is ur love & u are its only tenet...I know that we can't lead a happy future together...But u can lead a happy future...& I will do everything in my power to make u happy," RK said looking straight into her almond shaped eyes which were shedding happy tears to hear RK's love confession before their separation.
"My friend Charles, the centaur will escort u to a safe place, out of our reach," he said looking at his friend Charles, who gave him a curt nod. Madhu turned back & walked towards Charles with a heavy heart. Her heart still disagreed to leave RK alone to handle the whole matter all alone. She tilted her head & saw him looking at her with a warm smile. She couldn't control herself & ran back to him & hugged him tightly. She cupped his face & smashed her lips into him. Sweet moans escaped his mouth as she deepened the kiss. She jumped & wrapped her legs around his waist, supporting herself by holding his shoulders. RK was in a trance & his eyes darkened seeing her taking short breaths. He traced her collarbone & the warmth of her fingers spread throughout her entire body. His finger traced her jawline & rubbed her soft lips roughly. She moaned & opened her mouth to suck his thumb hungrily. He groaned & pulled her face by gripping her hair roughly & kissed her lips again with pure love. She moaned & thrust her hands on his soft silky hair, pulling him harder against her body.He trailed open mouth kisses along her jawline & nipped her throat. Then he squeezed her ass & pressed her more into him.
"I love u," RK moaned.
"I love u too," Madhu moaned back.RK made her stand & grinned seeing her flushed face. But suddenly his smile got replaced by a painful expression.
Madhu saw him bleeding & gasped to see an army of demons led by Elder Prince Manveer , running towards their direction. He took out his demon knife & targeted RK again, but Madhu pulled him aside & saved RK from getting hurt again.
"Charles...take her away," RK said with great difficulty.The pain seemed to paralyze his senses. "No...I will not leave u," Madhu cried taking his head on her lap.
"If u ever loved me, then u will go away right now," he whispered trying very hard to keep his eyes open. Seeing the demon army approaching close to them, Charles ran towards Rishbala & pulled Madhu like a ragged doll on his shoulders.
"I am giving u my life ... Take good care of her, my friend..." RK whispered to his friend Charles as he vomited blood. He coughed uncontrollably & took rapid labored breaths.
"I promise to protect her, my Prince," Charles, the centaur replied him. Convinced by his promise, he looked at a crying Madhu & whispered, "Go...lead ur life on ur terms, my love."
He saw his friend carrying a crying, screaming Madhu on his back & crossing the bridge. RK sat up with great difficulty, pressing his bleeding back with his left hand. Then he closed his eyes & gathered all his strength to apply strong powerful fire bolts to destroy the bridge, so that no demon could cross it & capture his Madhu again. His lips curved into a satisfied smile to see Madhu & Charles disappearing from his sight gradually.
"Aahh..." , RK groaned in pain. He laid back on the ground feeling exhausted due to heavy loss of blood. Manveer came near him & looked at him angrily.
"U traitor," he gritted his teeth. "U are a disgrace to our kingdom," he said disgusted with RK's betrayal. RK smiled at his brother & closed his eyes, ready to get his punishment for betraying his family & his countrymen for the love of his life. He had no regrets. He held his breath for the pain to hit him, & it came. His hands trembled for a second & slowly his heartbeat stopped, whispering,"Madhuuu...".
On the other side in the deserted streets of New York,
"Rkkk..." Madhu opened her eyes with a jerk. She felt as if someone squeezed her heart. She heard Charles' voice, "My lady, I will take ur leave now...I will be keeping an eye on u from far...U will not feel my presence until u need my help...Lead ur life as our Prince wanted." She nodded her head.
"It may be our forbidden tale of love , but if we are truly meant to be together, then life will find a way to make it happen, RK...I will wait for u till eternity," Madhu mumbled & wiped off her tears. She had to be strong as her weakness & her tears would hurt RK. She took a deep breath & entered a house labeled House on sale' to start a new life with the memories of RK.
