so why didn't you read then in school syllabus as Neerja chapter already there. why did you bother to watch a non actress movie then😛? did Neerja deserve to be forgotten? during hijacking American broadcasting channelsgave her royal ignored. its becoz Sonam did a beautiful job .ppl saw neerja not sonam😛 the hard critics gave her4 starsOriginally posted by: diluted.emotion
It was cringeworthy to watch such a poor actress play someone as great and brave as Neerja Bhanot. She ruined most of the emotional scenes especially singing while crying scene. It was like she had just memorised the dialogues and was reciting them on screen. No depth no feeling. You just feel for the soul of Neerja Bhanot "did Neerja deserve this?" I blame the makers here. Any decent actress would have done the job. But here, What a waste of opportunity. Sonam herself should have known the limited acting talent she has and rejected this project. Hats off to the bravery and human spirit of Neerja Bhanot but she deserved much better. This makes me so sad. I'd recommend rather read about Neerja Bhanot instead of watching this painfully horibble portrayal by a non-actress like Sonam. I aint even going into the kind of obnoxious person Sonam Kapoor is off screen. I am just talking about onscreen. That lady Neerja Bhanot deserves someone better. I cant emphasize this enough. Sigh. Just physical resemblance should not be a sole criteria to offer some actress a biopic of someone as big a legend as Neerja Bhanot. This hurts.

Another thing that I am finding both shocking and disturbing that if one talks evena single bad thing about this film or Sonam Kapoors acting, they are brutally crucified. Start respecting opinions people and try to diffrentiate between reel and real, that they are not insulting Neerja Bhanot but are just disappointed with her crude and painfully horrible portrayal by someone as poor an actress like Sonam. Boy, has Sonam Kapoor tried her level best to butcher the legacy of Neerja Bhanot. But I think legacy of someone as great as Neerja cant be ruined. She will remain in our hearts forever. But I hope not in the form or face of Sonam Kapoor.
God bless Neerja Bhanot.

Also people are not even ready to talk or discuss about Sonam's poor acting chops in this film just cause they feel it would be a shame to do that to a film like this or person like Neerja. She was horrible or below par at best but nobody is going to say it. Why? Well cause its Neerja Bhanot. We will be insulting a great soul like her.
This is not done. Not done.Neerja Bhanot deserved better. Much much better. Sorry but I am not able to get over this injustice that has been meted out to her.
