+1 i totally agree even if BBD becomes blockbuster it wont help her career if she gets trashed for her perfomances

I don't see any hope for BBD. Sid himself is trashed for being wooden. I don't know how these two will manage to elevate the film.

don't u hate on actors ruky? why u being a hypocrite? anyway i think sonam did well in neerja, but otherwise i have found her bad in every other movie, and her offscreen arrogance does not help her case either

When I last saw Kat she wasnt fluent. Costars would try and cover up for her and make sure when she needs to respond in Hindi they respond or they themselves start talking in English. But she might have improved now I dont know.

Apart from this another issue is Katrina has gone and got her face botoxed since late 2011. Hence 2012 onwards whatever she shot for she looks immobile face wise. While films prior to that if nothing else she used to charming in her films.

With hard work, determination, focus, and correct guidance anyone can improve on their skill sets.

Katrina focused all her energy into improving her dancing. There was no energy left over to work on her acting. It worked very well for her in her prime...she got top films, top banners...but ultimately, lack of basics was always going to catch up with Kat. Now it's too late at her stage to learn the ropes as there's too much competition otherwise.

Also the audience has grown up a lot in the last two years.I see a lot of people preferring good acting over item numbers these days,which is great! People have also come out of the Sunny Leone hangover.Otherwise just imagine a katrina starrer or sunny starrer flopping if it was released two years ago.

Yeah audience taste/expectations is to thank too! Like I said, Kat's rise came at a time when female actors were only required to look pretty and be a flowerpot. Her downfall started when that trend started dying down...and other actresses like Vidya showed that audience should be demanding more. The audience has finally started giving a lot more credit to stories and good movies. Thank god for that...it means makers will finally start putting in more effort.
