Sonam and Deepika were criticized for their acting skills but Deepika proved herself by improving and now Sonam is doing the same.
From being non-actor these two actresses have improved a lot. How can other non-actor improve and become better? Many of this forum say that you should have acting keeda to get better but sonam never showed that she has any kind of keeda in her but still she improved.

And also which other actor/actresses you can see showing big improvement like recently Sonam did and proved everyone wrong

Umm no,Sonam wasn't a non-actor from the start.I loved her in her first movie Sawaariya, such a brilliant performance she gave. You should watch it and then Delhi 6 came, she had 15/20min role but she overshadowed everyone in the movie.Again i'd say you should watch it,then after 2/3 more movies she started choosing shitty roles(players, thank you etc),i think that's one of the reasons she's called out/tagged as a BAD ACTOR!
Now hope she does more movies like Neerja :)

Find a director who highlights your positives and hides the flaws

I think you are saying that being her fan, i am talking about the general audience. I dont think so anyone though Sonam as a good actor before Neerja.

And i dont find Sonam's movies interesting .. sawariya, Delhi 6, IHS, Aisha,PRDP nothing which can hold my interest.. i feel Neerja is something which i can enjoy. I will want Sonam in a suspense thriller soon my fav genre

Will-power and hard-work are the only two keys to success. Sonam and Deepika wanted to learn acting and they worked hard towards their goal and have succeeded.

YES, The thing called TALENT or a natural gift you are born with, can add to the success and bring you to the top of the field.

Will-power + Hard-work + Talent = most lethal combo
Sorry for the philosophical rant LOL

Sometimes only the right director and story can do the trick.

TBH Sonam was a lot better than DP when she started. DP was a wooden pretty face but Sonam could actually emote. Her dialogue delivery was problemetic! It is great that she is finally getting good reviews for acting!
