CHAPTER 32 :- PAST HAUNTS!!!

"Alright!", the trio chirped in unison and set off to hunt the most dreadful beast, the lion!!!
Hasan Valley, also known as the second densest forest in Asia, is a beautiful place with an authentic feel of a dense forest.
But underlying the density of the forest, there are many dangers in it, one of them being the wild animals!
Passing through the deodar, oak and rhododenderon trees in a swift motion, Aliena, Shyam and Arnav reached the den of the lion!
Instructing the others to wait for his call, Arnav crept into the lion's den.
Inside, the red glowing orbs caught sight of the green, gleaming eyes.
It was indeed a tremendous beast that would strike fear into most mens' hearts.
But this was no ordinary man!
This was a fight of a beast with a beast!
The lion did not expect a human to pounce on him, but that's what Arnav did.
He grappled and wrestled with the man-eating beast and finally defeated it, killing it with his bare hands.
It was no hard task!
The trio took the animal to the adjacent forest where they had their powers regained!
A glowing person watched the trio enter in the tent from behind a tree!
"Bloody emotional cowards! Hesitating to hunt a human even after being a vampire! Huh!
If I hadn't had my fealty to keep in tact,I would have shown u what we black camps are!
Let Siddharth recover, then we will show u muggle vamps who we are!
This time, no bloody muggle can save the twins from our claws! Not even Arnav Singh Raizada!"
And the person smirked HER best!!!

A month passed by...
Khushi's dreams were taking a toll on her life, though not of Randhir anymore, some weird dreams never left her side, being noticed by a confused Sanyukta.
Kaustuki and Yoyo seemed realising things.
Lavanya and Parth were drowned in love, sometimes getting involved in cat fights where the girl always won.
Thnx to her drama queen tactics!
Arshi, though not friends, broke the walls of formalities now.
She always appreciated him or rather liked him underneath her rib cage and well, he, was still not overt his first love yet.
The growing attraction between them tensed up Arnav as he had no intention to deceive his deceased wife! Not now, not ever!
Nevertheless, they spoke to each other sweetly and informally now.
Randhir, not at all in good terms with Arnav, as his jealousy grew with each passing day, seemed to dislike this budding relation, though he never spoke to Khushi about that!
Aryukta and Ranshi's friendship grew strong with each passing second, of course Randhir being too protective about his only sister!
And now, the Sandhir!
Things seemed to get normal between them, at least for Sanyukta, who by now had almost forgot about the scars of her neck.
They were always at each other's throat, or so others concluded, by their fights!
But the truth was, both wanted to keep themselves away from the other, Randhir wanting to stick to his "ignoring" mission and Sanyukta, oh well, she has a more genuine reason!
They tried hard ignoring each other, to a point that always ended up in a strife or a battle!
ONE SUCH BATTLE... (5:00 PM)
"Aag! Aag! Koi bachao hame! Iss agni se raksha karo koi hamari! Aaggg!", Khushi's screams scared the hell out of the already panicked people in the lab!
The furious fire left everyone aghast in the practical lab.
Arising from the metal melter of Khushi's, it caught few more wires leading to fire at a whole table.
Randhir was the most affected by these screams as his eyes held disgust for himself!
He had known that Khushi was pyrophobic and yet he had...
The fire extinguishers were being sprayed at the fire while Khushi was being calmed down by Vardhan and her friends, to no avail!
At last, the entire class gasped as she fell down unconscious, due to the pyrophobia!
She was rushed to the medical room followed by everyone except Sandhir who seemed realising something!
Khushi's changed language had caught Sanyukta's attention. May be that could be the solution of her weird nightmares.
After 10 mins of brooding, she decided to put up a check to clear her surmise!
Entering the CCTV room, the thing that she witnessed in the video shocked the life out of her! No! She hadn't expected this! And not from...
"Randhir Singh Shekhawat!", Sanyukta yelled at the figure which was standing like a statue in the mechanical lab.
The yell of the lioness went unnoticed by Randhir as he was busy cursing himself.
"Randhir! What the f*ck do u think u are doing han?", she pushed him hard by his shoulders!
The sudden attack made him flabbergasted!
What was she talking about? Has she known?
"What are u talking about?", he asked unsure of her question n his thoughts.
May be they didn't match n she hadn't known!
"Oh really! U are asking me! What the fu*king hell were u thinking when u tampered that machine? Were u planning to kill your own sister u bloody rascal?", she was burning!
Ohh no! She has come to know!
"Sanyukta! I admit it was me but..."
"But what han? What? What explanation do u have for a filthy disgusting thing that u have done? Don't tell me that it was unintentional! I have seen the entire CCTV footage!", she pushed him so hard that his back hit the wall!
"Sanyukta listen to me!", a furious Randhir by this great push switched the places, with Sanyukta being pinned to the wall, "It wasn't for Khushi! It was for u dammit! Though I hadn't foreseen such a huge blast, I had intended to let u feel my rivalry!", he spat leading Sanyukta's expression to an another level of shock!
"And I am...", his features softened as he started this but was cut off!
"Oooh! I should have known this! Of course! The place that Khushi stood today in the lab was mine! U planned to kill me! Alas, your plan failed miserably! Don't worry! I give u a chance! Come on now! Kill me!", she forced his hands on her neck and was constantly asking him to throttle her!
That demand of hers softened him!
No! He hadn't meant that!
God knew bloody what he was thinking when he did that!
But the truth was, he can never lose her and the only way to convey this to her was...
His hands on her neck moved upwards to cup her cheeks!
She gasped on being pulled by such a great force that her lips smashed on his.
The softness his lips was showering her with, overpowered the initial struggle of Sanyukta as she held his hair in her tiny fists and pulled him more!
They kissed like long lost lovers, conveying their words to the other through the kiss!
His lips were sucking her tongue when realisation dawned upon her!
Withdrawing her hands from his hair, she twitched to separate themselves.
He was confused! A second earlier she seemed enjoying and now...
She held her head in frustration and regret and plodded to the room only to leave a guilty Randhir behind, who went to Khushi to check on her!
Oh why did this always end up in regret and guilt!

The doctor had advised a happy environment for a scared Khushi and what more did Yoyo need to plan a party!
He planned a night out in the classroom of just their group!
Realising that Sanyukta was nowhere to be seen in the party, Randhir considered this time to be perfect to ask for an apology!
Yes you read it right! Apology!
Apology for even trying to do anything like he had done!
"Seems like she has slept!", after examining the half sitting half laying posture of Sanyukta for a minute, he turned around to leave, only to be caught at his wrist by a soft hand.
Turning around, he saw his wrist in hers and her one eye opening to check if he was there!
Being caught by him, she opened her naughty eyes and pulled him to make him sit on the bed, in front of her!
Taking a closer look at her, Randhir realised what was wrong with her...
"Sanyukta! U are drunk?!", he asked in shock!
"Han woh stressed thi n Laa k drawer me dekhi toh... pehli baar pee hai n sirf thodi si I swear!" she pinched her throat n pouted cutely forming Randhir's lips in a beautiful smile!
He could die for this innocence!
"I am sorry for what I did Sanyukta! I really am!", he apologised!
She smiled and lifted his hands to lie straight on his lap!
He gasped initially but smiled when she pushed her head in his waist!
The drunk Sanyukta was way cuter and frank!
"Sanyukta... tum hamesha mujhse door kyun bhagti rehti ho? Tumhari ankhon me dikhta hai k tum...", he couldn't help try getting his answers! This was his only chance! She would never spill out the beans when in senses!
"Nahi kar sakti mai tumse pyar Randhir", she cut him off, her voice indicating her pain.
"Q?"
"Q k mai b woh galti nahi karna chahti jo mom ne ki! Pyar karne ki galti! I am an illegitimate child Randhir...", her words stuck in her throat as she grabbed his T-shirt for support!
Randhir felt his eyes well up as he felt the moisture on his waist due to her tears but he retained crying!
He had to hear her out!
Not because he wanted to know!
He loved her under any circumstances!
But to tell her that he is always there to hear her out! His hands caressed her hair!
She continued, "Not like I'm a normal illegitimate child! People say that I am born out of sin! A sin! I don't know why am I telling this to u but... I am an illegitimate child of my mother Randhir! My mother! Is duniya me ek aadmi ke illegitimate child ko gradually accept karliya jata hai Randhir! But children like me, especially when they are girls, are tagged with a title 'characterless'!", she laughed sarcastically,
"You know my mom was passionate about machines! She loved machines! But her parents never let her study engineering! Instead when they came to know about it, they married her off! Married her off to Mr. Agarwal!"
Randhir was shocked!
Mr. Agarwal was her step dad!
"She had a 1 year old Di when she got an opportunity to join ICSE! Being an MCP himself, Mr. Agarwal had never let her pursue her dreams! She fought with him to grab this opportunity and Mr. Agarwal didn't let her go, obviously she had to run to the college! But he was hell bent to bring her back! He tried, only to fail every time! Though after struggling so much, mom was able to survive in the college for just 1 and a half year...", she sobbed hysterically now!
"Why?", Randhir couldn't help but ask,
"Why did she leave engineering after struggling so hard?"
"Randhir, my mom was perfect! Perfect in household chores, perfect in studies and everything! She hadn't ever made any mistake except 2! One was love and one was me! She fell deeply for her classmate, who was my biological father! She tried hard to keep in her limits but one drunk night changed her life! When she came to know that she was pregnant, she ran off, carrying me in her womb, to a place where nobody could find us! Unfortunately when I was 3, Mr. Agarwal and his men found mom! She was killed... killed in front of my eyes, in the name of honour killing! U know if it hadn't been for Di, I wouldn't have been here! I would have been killed too! Mr. Agarwal, for di's sake, has given me his surname but the tag of an illegitimate child never left my side! And Di was dragged along too with the tag of being characterless! I am a mistake Randhir! A sin! A sin out of forbidden love! And if I love someone now..."
Her sobs were louder now!
Randhir was crying too!
His face was drowned in tears!
Holding his T-shirt, she was sulking in!
He felt that his life was wasted! Wasted if he wasn't able to console his heart that was crying in his lap!
He held her tight and pulled her up from her waist and made her settled in his lap, her knees wrapped to her chest, he used both of his hands to hold her in place and moved back to the bed frame to keep her comfortable!
Her warm sobs and breath kissed his neck!
He placed a kiss in her hair but wasn't able to utter anything, afraid that his breakdown may hurt her more!
He just joined his head with hers and gave his silent pleas to her sobs to move aside!
In the haven of the world, sobs slowly turned to hiccups and hiccups finally turned into snores!
He placed a lingering kiss in her hair and caressed her waist slowly holding her in place!
His love had to be going through so much on her life, with him being there!
This was what the feeling helplessness is called! May be this is what hell is like!
There were many complications in between them, and many were yet to come, but this moment, reposing in each other's embrace nothing else mattered to them!
And the firmament stood the witness of their pure love!

The next fine morning ...
Listening to the last knell, the gang were seated in the canteen!
After the last night, she ignored him more considering the fact that he now knew her secret but she couldn't deny that now she felt serene and jubilant!
Randhir too attempted to be normal to her, not to make her feel that he had any sympathy feeling towards her!
He did not have it too!
After the last night, the feeling that was sole in him akin her was Love! Love for her more deeply than earlier!
He reverenced for her now!
"Come on guys! Aaj meri taraf se party! Batao kya loge sab?", asked an elated Sanyukta, wearing a golden suit which looked gorgeous on her!
The lovestruck handsome couldn't take his eyes off her and still he made vain attempts to ignore her!
"Waah ji Sanyukta ji! Practicals me first ane ki khushi me party! Oye apni toh balle balle hogyi! Menu toh ek samosa la do ji! Waise manna padega, Sanyukta ji aap toh kitne bade genius nikle!", Yoyo chipped!
"Oye! Zyada makkhan mat laga usey! By fluke agar ek bar task me first agayi toh iska ye matlab nhi k ye genius hai! Farzi kahin ki!"
"Whatever! Tum kya sonchte ho, isse mujhe koi farq nhi padhta! I don't want to spoil my mood today! Batao guys, kya loge sab?"
"Choco mousse!", Lavanya blurted!
Everyone hooted and Lavanya blushed hard!
"Umnn I think I will have a veg burger and Sweetie ke liye...", Khushi started.
"Canteen me karele (bitter gourd) nhi milte Khushi!", Sanyukta taunted to which they laughed hard and Randhir flared his nose!
"A potato samosa!", Khushi completed, chuckling!
Randhir glared at her and she sobered up.
"Veg sandwich for me and Kaustuki!", Parth said!
Arnav was about to speak when Sanyukta interrupted,
"A plain sandwich for u, I know!", she said and Aryukta smiled only to ignore the balled fist of someone!
She walked to the canteen, placed orders and waited!
Meanwhile, Arnav got a text message by a known number to which he smiled and replied back, his eyes glowing naughtily!
Sanyukta hurried back to the table with the orders!
She had placed her sandwich on the edge of the plate which, by mistake, fell on her new dress!
"Ohh shit! Look what I've done! Tera kuch nhi ho sakta Sanyu!", she cursed herself for spoiling her own dress!
"Aur na hi kabhi kuch hoga! Jhalli kahin ki!", a sweet voice grabbed the group's attention.
Sanyukta's back was facing the person but she was well aware of the voice!
She turned back in disbelief and the only word that escaped her mouth was "Jaan!"
The whole group sat in curiosity except 2 people!
One was Arnav who already knew about the person and the other was Randhir, who was shocked and relieved to hell!
Sanyukta engulfed a beautiful girl in a bone crashing hug, and wept for rapture!
Breaking the hug, JAAN wiped Sanyukta's tears off and said,
"Hey Sanyu, no rona dhona! Not today at least!"
"Exactly! I told her the same!", Arnav got from his place and hugged Jaan!
"Come! Let me introduce u to my friends", Sanyukta said and the trio moved to the table, "Guys this is JAANVI AGARWAL! My elder sister and my Jaan!"
Randhir smiled at his stupidity!!!😆
"And Jaan, these are my friends, Lavanya, Khushi, Parth, Yoyo, Kaustuki and Randhir!", Sanyukta introduced everyone, of course scorning at the last!
"Hey guys!", Jaan waved and got the similar response!
"Come join us!", Khushi offered!
She joined them and in no time, they mingled with each other as she was very affable!
"Jaan tumhe pata hai ye dress mujhe Devil ne gift kiya hai!", an excited Sanyukta declared!
"Wow Arnav! Nice choice! Next time shopping ke liye tumhe lekar jaungi mai!", Jaan declared and winked at Arnav to which he smiled!
"Waise Jaan, achanak yahan kaise?", Sanyukta asked!
"Offo Angel! Did u forget that the seniors are supposed to join tomorrow!"
"That means..."
"Yes! I have joined FITE! Waise toh mujhe kal join karna tha but I thought tumhari BIRTHDAY par isse accha surprise kya ho sakta hai! Hai na?", Jaan said pulling her cheeks and she smiled nervously!
"Birthday?", Lavanya asked!
"U guys don't know? Aaj Sanyu ka birthday hai!"
"I am sorry guys! But I don't like celebrating my birthday! Isiliye nahi bataya!", Sanyukta confessed!
Now Randhir realised why she was so dismal last night that she had drunk!
"Oh toh isiliye treat mil rahi thi aaj! Oh ji aapko batana chahiye tha! Chalo koi na, Happy birthday ji!", Yoyo wished followed by the wishes of all the others!
"Did u like my surprise?", Jaan asked curiously!
"Like? I loved it!", Sanyukta hugged her sideways!
"Mera surprise better tha!", Arnav said pouting!
"Oh really!", they broke the hug and Jaan said, "The competition is tough Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada! There is another competitor of ours, awaiting!", she smiled naughtily!
Arnav and Sanyukta looked at her suspiciously and just then, came a descant along with a guitar's voice from behind!
It was Sanyukta's favorite song, being played by her favorite minstrel!
Everyone's attention fell on a handsome guy of their age playing the beautiful song!
Sanyukta smiled and got up!
"You're insecure!
Donno wat for!
You're turning heads when u walk through the do-o-or!
Don't need make up!
To cover up!
Being the way that u are is enou-u-gh!"
The song continued with the guy coming towards Sanyukta!
The entire canteen stood up with everyone smiling!
They wanted to know who this handsome singer was!
"Everyone else in the room can see it!
Everyone else but you-ou!
Baby u light up my world like nobody else,
the way that u flip ua hair gets me overwhelmed,
the way u smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell!"
The guy hi-fied Arnav and they side hugged!

You'll understand why I want u so desperately!
Right now I am looking at u and I can't believe!"
Arnav joined the song now!

As soon as the song ended, Sanyukta jumped on the guy, hugging him like hell!
"Oh my God! ARYAN, you are here!", she said breaking the hug!
"So Sanyu, who won the competition, Arnav, Jaan or me?", the guy cocked his brow!
"Of course you! I tell u, u are a big riot!", Sanyukta declared!
"Hamesha aisa hi hota hai!", Jaan said pouting and hugged the guy!
"Come let me introduce u to my friends...
So this is Lavanya, Khushi, Parth, Kaustuki, Yoyo and Randhir!", the last introduction seemed to be a rude one, not out of genuine rudeness but the attempt to be so!
"And guys, this is ARYAN MALHOTRA, my best friend and...", she hesitated to continue but Arnav saved her!
"Angel's FIANC!", he proclaimed, to witness the shocked faces of the group and tiny droplets of saline water in Randhir's eyes!
Just a second of relief and he had got the shock of his life, of course a noxious one!!!
