How progressive are they?
It's amazing, each and every tradition, ritual, concept in Mithila is about equality between the genders.
I fact, it puts women at the forefront of everything, step in step with men, and sometimes ahead.
What joy to watch this, even in this day and age, women are battling for equal rights, equal pay,
And
Ancient india was so much more advanced in their though process...
And in between all the progressive ideas , we get some fun ones as well,
Like the bride and bridegroom feeding each other the first meal after marriage
How cute!
They should have shown a bit more of that scene, and why is Sita not looking at Ram, he is always busy looking at her, expressing his love , affection and gratitude by his words, by his actions and by his every breathe, but Sita is just neutral...come on Sitae, reciprocate...
