PART 17
Raman was opening the windows and go on scolding her.
Raman- where u were lost.cant u smell the gas.I can't even think what would had happened if I don't came on time. Now why u r silent.tell something at least,saying so he turned to her only to see her laying unconscious on the floor.blood was oozing out of her forehead.
Raman ran to her and took her head on his lap,ishi,ishi.he shake her but she didn't respond.
Raman- shit,saying so he scoop her in his arms and took her out.he placed her gently on the couch in the hall and was thinking what to do when he saw avi coming inside .she saw ishita laying unconscious, she ran to them.
Avi- what happened to her.Raman what happened to her.she panicked.
Raman- I didn't do anything. She was about to lite the gas,I pushed her a little to save her and she banged with the wall.call the doctor please ,call the doctor.he said almost crying.
Avi- OK Raman,relax.let me check her.
Raman- what u can do.call the doctor.he said crying.
Avi- I am doctor Raman.let me check her.I am D.O.C.T.O.R.she said trying to relax him.
Raman- please save her.its all because of me.
Avi sat down beside her and start checking her up.
Avi- Raman,there is a first aid kit in karthik's room.go and bring that.
Raman went inside and brought the box.avi cleaned her wound and bandaged it.after that she give her injection. Raman closed his eyes not being able to see her pain.avi smiled at his concern.he was freaking scared for her.
Avi- she is alright Raman.just a little injury.she will be good within an hour or two.
Raman sat beside avi and said- I didn't do that intentionally. I was just trying to save her and she got hurt.will she forgive me.
Avi- of course Raman and moreover its not ur fault.
Raman- I didn't get u.
Avi- actually she is not very strong physically. She had an accident last month .she got hurt badly all over and mostly she had head injury.she got recovered but still she is not physically very strong.
Raman- oh,is she will be OK.I mean nothing will happen to her naa.
Avi- no ,she will be OK.I think u should go now.
Raman- where.
Avi- for ur interview.
Raman- I am not going anywhere leaving her like this.
Avi- she is fine.I am here with her and moreover she will feel bad if she will come to know that u didn't go because of her.
Raman- I don't care what she will think.I am not going anywhere leaving her and that's final.
Avi- OK as u wish.u sit here with her.I will arrange something to eat.
Raman- no thanks,I don't want anything.
Avi- OK,would u like to have tea.
Raman- yes ,that will do.
Avi- OK ,wait ,I will bring it.saying so she went to the kitchen.Raman was looking at ishita ,waiting for her to wake up.suddenly she turn and was about to fall off the couch when he held her in neck of time and make her sleep comfortably. He pulls a chair and sit beside her holding her hand. He gently kiss her palm and said- I am so sorry ishi.I don't wanna hurt u.but I think its in my fate only that I will be the reason of everyone's pain.
Avi stop in the way seeing his concern for ishita.she thought,no Raman,I think u will be the reason for her happiness not pain.u have come to turn her every tear into happiness. I just wish u guys fall in love.she smiled and sent a silent prayer for their happiness.
It was more then an hour,Raman was sitting beside her while avi has ordered food for them from her home.
Avi- Raman,have something. Its afternoon, u hadn't ate anything since morning.
Raman- when she will woke up.
Avi- arey ,she will woke up.u come and have something.
Raman- she will not eat anything.
Avi- don't worry for her. She is the fussiest when she is sick.only karthik can feed her.he will come and feed her.u have something.
Raman- can I try.may be she eat something.
Avi- as u wish but she is cranky like a kid.
Raman- I think I can make her eat.saying so he took a plate full of rice,dal,chappati and curry.and he went to her.Raman put the plate aside and said shaking her a little- ishi,bhook lagi hai(r u hungry)
Ishita slowly open her eyes and nodded in yes.
Raman- khana khaogi( will u eat something)
She nodded in no.
Raman- why.
Ishita- bhai khilaange(bhai will feed me)
Raman- main khilaun( shall I feed)
Ishita open her eyes and said softly,OK.and close her eyes again.
Raman smiled and took a morsel- open ur mouth.
She open her mouth and he feed her. She close her mouth and start chewing.suddenly she start coughing as she was eating laying down.she sat up coughing,he immediately give her water.she drank it and said- it am full.saying so she was about to lay down when he sat beside her.he keep her head on his chest and said- I am feeding u.u just chew.she nodded like a kid.then he was feeding her and she was eating keeping her head on his chest.avi was seeing all this and was too happy for ishita.she went outside giving them privacy.after eating ishita rubbed her mouth on his shirt ruining it completely with stains.
She realised what she has done and slowly open her eyes.she saw Raman sitting beside her and she was keeping her head on his chest.she immediately sat and said- I am sorry Raman.woh actually I always wipe my mouth on bhai's shirt so did it on urs also.I am really sorry. Give it to me,I will wash it.
Raman- its OK ishi.and how r u feeling now.
Ishita- I am good.mujhe kya hua hai.and u r back so early.she said looking at her watch.
Raman didn't say anything but look down.
Ishita- achcha tell me.who's ur interview. Did u got the job.
Raman don't know what to answer. He said- interview was good.they didn't give the answer.he said hesitantly.
Ishita hold his hand and said- Raman look at me.
Raman was reluctant to look at her.he was going saying,I will go and wash my hand.but she held his hand and said- u didn't go for interview naa.
Raman didn't say anything just look at her.she understood and said- shit,why don't u go yaar.itne mushkil se uncle ko pataya tha(I convinced him with so much effort).
Raman- I can't leave u in this condition.he said slowly.
Ishita look at him in disbelief that he left his interview for her.
Ishita- arey yaar,I was just unconscious not dead. U should have gone.ab aap phir se Marne jaane lagoge( now u will again attempt for suicide)
Raman- don't u dare to utter these kind of rubbish.nothing will happen to u.samjhi and now I will not attempt suicide coz I have got a reason to live.he said looking at her.
Ishita- but still yaar ,u should have gone.it was important.
Raman- don't teach me.I know what is more important for me.
Ishita- oh really,u don't need my advice.so there is no need to talk to u.saying so she looked away.
Raman- that's good we shouldn't talk if u don't want to understand anything.saying so he too look away.
They were stealing glances of each other and when they saw they r looking at each other.they look away.they were doing this when karthik and avi entered the room.
Karthik came to her running and asked-r u OK golu.what happened bachcha.he asked hugging her.
Ishita- I am OK bhai.just a chotu si chot(a small wound).
Karthik smiled at her cuteness and kissed her forehead.
Karthik- u know,I was so scared.glad u r fine. Thanks alot Raman.u just don't saved her but u saved me also.he said looking at Raman.
Raman- please don't say this.I am glad that she is fine.
Avi- but ask her what she was thinking that she didn't smell anything.
Raman- yes ishi,where e were lost.
Ishita blushed red remembering how Raman kissed her forehead and she was lost in his touch.she nodded saying ,nothing I just didn't notice and look down.
Karthik- see how she is blushing.I am sure she was lost in thoughts of subbu.naa ishu.
Raman- subbu?
Karthik- oh ,u didn't know about him naa. He is the hero of her life.his fiance I mean would be fiance.they r yet to get engaged.
All colour drained from Raman's face hearing this.he look at ishita,she was sitting there feeling uncomfortable with subbu's mention.ishita look at Raman,he was looking at her already.they share an intense eyelock.a lone tear escaped their eyes,but they wiped it before anyone can notice.but avi was fast enough to notice it.ishita break the eye lock and went inside saying excuse me.
Karthik- I think she is blushing.
Raman- I think I should go now.
Karthik- hey Raman,stay naa.have coffee with us.they u can go.
Raman- nahi,ab jaane ka samay ho gaya hai.(no,I think my time is over)
Karthik- OK,please keep visiting us. After all we r friends now.
Raman look at the direction she went and said- yes,we r friends now.saying so he went outside the house.karthik went to his room to freshen up.
Avi went to ishita's room.she was laying on the bed hiding her face in the pillow. Avi understood she is crying.
Avi- ishu,Raman is going.
Ishita raise her head and said- so what I can do.he has to go. I don't care.
Avi- whom u r trying to fool.I know u care.
Ishita- u know I am getting engaged to subbu.she said with moist eyes.
Avi- babu u r yet to engaged not engaged.stop him, he is going.
Ishita- I can't .our ways r apart.
Avi- its such a waste talking to u.saying so she came outside the house to find Raman.
Raman was sitting on the bench near their house.avi goes to him and sat beside him.
Avi- gaye nahi( didn't u went)
Raman- I was about to.he said looking down.
Avi- saaf saaf bolo naa.u can't leave her.
Raman- nahi toh.nothing like that.
Avi- don't lie.I can see it in ur eyes that u love her.
Raman- I don't have a right to love anyone.I am just noone.and it doesn't matter to anyone if I stay or went away from their life.mere rehne ya nahi rehne se kisi ko fark nahi padta.
Avi- I don't know about anyone but usse fark padhta hai( it matters to her). Yes u matters to her.trust me.
Raman look at her in disbelief.
Avi- u know I am sounding weird but I don't like subbu .she too don't like her.I have seen her hatred for him .don't know why she agreed for marrying him.and I can also see that she likes u ,she is changing for u.she just need a push for realise her love for u.be with her Raman and I know she loves u,she needs u.
Raman- r u telling the truth.
Avi- I think u can see truth in her eyes.u can see the truth in that single drop of tear. Just be with her Raman.
Raman- but how.
Avi- OK listen.today we have our farewell party at college. U can join us.see I am going with karthik.ishu has no partner.u can come with us as her partner.
Raman- and if she don't want me as her partner.
Avi- just ask her .Punjabi ho try karne se pehle kaise haar maan sakte ho.(how can u loose before trying)
Raman smiled at her words.avi hold her hand and took her inside.karthik was sitting on the chair having coffee.Ishita was also sitting there.her eyes were moist.
Karthik saw them and asked-what happened. Is everything alright.
Avi- of course,I was just wondering. If Raman can join us in today's party.
Ishita look at Raman.Raman look at her.he signalled her with his eyes like asking her.she smiled nodding in yes.Raman too smiled.
Karthik- yes that's a pretty good idea.u can join us Raman.it will be a nice experience for u.
Avi- yes and karthik can pay some attention to me if u r with ishu.she said winking.
Karthik shake his head smiling.
After sometimes,
Raman to avi- thanks avi, u gave me courage.I needed it badly.
Avi- not doing for u Raman.doing this for my ishu.she deserves all the happiness in world and subbu is not her happiness.
Raman- why u hate him so much.
Avi- I will tell u later.right now concentrate on ishu.
Later in the evening,
Karthik and Raman was ready in tux .they were waiting for their girls.soon avi came out wearing a black shimmery saree looking beautiful. But Raman was searching for ishita.she also came out wearing a blue short evening gown.her hair was open and she was looking too beautiful but her dress was revealing much of her back and her long legs.
Ishita- bhai how I am looking,she said flaunting herself.
Karthik- cute like always.now let's go.
Ishita came near Raman and said- I know I am looking good but don't stare at me like this.let's go.
Raman- sorry,but I can't go with u.u r not looking good.
Ishita was stunned by his comment. Karthik and avi was also surprised.
Ishita- what do u mean by that.
Raman- I mean u r looking bad.I mean just look at ur dress,I think if ruhi was little big ,her frock would be longer then urs.look at avi,she is looking so beautiful in saree and what u r wearing.
Ishita- u know what Raman.u go with her only.I am not going anywhere with u.
Raman- come ishi,listen naa,
She couldn't let him complete and went to her room banging the door aloud.Raman look at them, karthik and avi shake their head saying we can't do anything.
Karthik- now she will not go.
Avi- I have never seen her in saree.she hates to wear saree.
Raman- but her dress
Before he could complete,ishita shouted,avi.
Avi- let me check.saying so she went inside and after ten minutes she came out.
Avi smiled and said to raman- she is changing.will come out in sometime. U can see ur effect on her.
Raman smiled listening to her.
Avi- I think we should go karthik.they will come together. Naa Raman.
Raman nodded.
Karthik- OK,we r going. U guys can join us later.
They went out leaving Raman alone with Ishita.avi thought that they need some lone time together so she locked them inside the house and said- today u guys can enjoy together.she smiled and went away with karthik.
Raman was waiting for her since twenty minutes.at last he said loudly- ishi,come out.
Ishita- no Raman,I will not come out.I am looking bad.u go alone.
Raman- come out.let me see.how u r looking.
Ishita- no I won't.I am looking horrible.
Raman- really,come out and let me see how horrible u r looking.
Ishita- but promise u will not laugh.
Raman- why would I.come out .
After much convincing, she came out.he look at her and lost.she was wearing a white net saree, her hair were open and laying free on one side.she was coming to him and drip on the saree.she was about to fall when Raman hold her.
Her hair was flying and some strands of hair were adorning her face.
Raman- u r looking beautiful. He said tucking her hair behind her ears.
Ishita- now u will go with me naa.
Raman- I still don't wanna go with u.
Ishita- why,she asked with a pout.
Raman said huskily near her ear- because u r looking too beautiful to take out.just wanna sit and stare at ur beautiful face .
Ishita blushed red at his comment.
Raman kissed her earlobe and said- I love ur cheek red with blush.
Ishita look at him and said- chalein( let's go)
Raman nodded and they were about to go out when they came to know,the door is locked.and they r locked inside the house.
