Tell us something about yourself.

I was born and brought up in Chandigarh, then I went to UK. I was there for seven to eight years, studying and working in a corporate sector. Then I came back , I always had an inclination towards the entertainment industry but I thought it would be better to complete my studies, get qualified and get myself a decent job so, I completed my business management degree and got a job but the passion was always there and everytime I watched a movie, I wished I could be a part of this industry but thought it's too late now. Then, suddenly one day someone said something and it was kind of an awakening call that led me to think that you've got to take risks in life, you've got to experiment, you've got to give yourself, your dreams a chance and do what you're meant to be, do what you love to do. So, I came back to India and got into modelling .

Do you always wanted to be an actor?

Yes, I always wanted to be an actor but I wasn't giving myself a chance because I'm from a non-filmy background and there's so much of risk involved in the entertainment industry. So, I never let acting be my focus but I'm a very passionate person and you can say, my passion for acting finally brought me where I belong.

Who is your inspiration?

As an actor, Boman Irani, in terms of giving up a secure life and joining the entertainment industry but in life, my inspiration is my Dad.

What are your hobbies?

I love surfing on internet a lot. I watch anything and everything that comes my way. I like reading and watching films. I watch at least two films a week.

Sincere, hardworking, humble, a brilliant actor, a great lover, honest, responsible, family oriented.

Now, that you are engaged with your co-star Divyanka Tripathi, does it changes the equation on the sets?

No, not at all. Our equation remains the same as we both know, how to balance professional and personal life.

She thinks a lot about people and goes out of her way to help them.
