Police is not able to find, may be they would have if Truth was told.

How specifically are her lies preventing them from finding Sarla? I'm confused

I don't think she was even remotely thinking about her as Lady Mogambo. She wasn't even pretending because Lady Mogambo doesn't care about her maa.

All she had on her mind was that she lost another chance to find her maa.

She knew Tanu is going to come there.
She knew her maa was dropped somewhere and she told the students she was going to the studio.
She knew Tanu and her BF took away someone thinking its P.
When she called T, T told her She has the blackmailer with her.

She is almost sure T has Sarla maa. She is not telling any of the above to either Cops or Abhi.
Isn't that not saving Sarla maa?

She took him so that she can reach faster, fine! But she know what she wants and she knows he is going to be a hurdle. Taking him along, lying continuously was her mistake.
Even when she saw Tanu leaving she dint check the near by place. Sarla maa was in the near building instead she blamed him.

Her helplessness is because of her stupidity and lies.

She was not lady Mogmabo from the day bulbul died and Aaliya was exposed.

I am not talking about her being LM etc.

I am talking about her telling him, he will not know how it is to have ur family reduced in number.
He dint have his parents, his sister betrayed him and is in jail etc and she is doing all this to save him from his family.
So blaming him of not knowing the family thing was mean.

She was of course talking as lady Mogmabo. She was still pretending and doing her drama of not telling him about Tannu..
