Superb update. Geet asked foe cell phone from Arnav and called her father. She told him about the incident that happened and about their being on way to Chandigarh. Her father told Arnav that dakus came for Geet and Khushi and to kill the person who saved them. So he asked them to go to Dilli and they will also follow them. Geet told Arnav about her ambitions. Maan is amused by her continuous speaking. When they reached Dilli, Both the girls went to Khushi's buaji's home. Maan went to KM. Dadima asked him about Geet. Instead of a straight no he replied 'I don't know'. Dadi is happy that he has not denied clearly.

CHAPTER 11. TRUTH IS OUT!

Few days had passed since our four leads reached Dilli. Geet's parents arrived in Dilli and Geet shifted to Manchanda house with them. Arnav's car and Maan's jeep arrived too. Khushi decided to stay in Dilli and pursue her dreams alongside Geet. Both the girls got themselves admitted into an Institute to study Jewelry Designing Course. And that is when a phone call came for Handa family. It was Daadima who had yet to meet Geet and wanted to meet the girl who Maan had yet to reject. When Rano told Geet that Maan's Daadima was arriving to meet her because Maan did not reject her Geet was surprised, "Maan ne mujhe reject nahi kiya?" Then she shrugged. Maybe he liked her! Who cares! Geet just wanted to forget her Prince Charming and move on! If it is with this Maan Singh Khurana she was going to move on, then so be it!

Daadima arrived and adored Geet from the moment her eyes fell on her. When Geet hesitatingly told Daadima her wish to study further and open a boutique with her best friend, Daadima was very proud of her and even offered to finance their showroom.

"Nahi nahi Daadima! Aise kaise? Main aur Khushi iss showroom ko apne paise se khada karna chaahte hain!", Geet replied. But Daadima refused to relent, "Investment samajhke le lo! Waise bhi Bank se loan logi toh guarantor, mortgage yeh sab jhamele mein padna hoga! Humse investment samajhke le lo aur phir jab successful ho jaaogi toh interest ke saath waapis kar dena!"

When Geet still hesitated, Daadima continued, "Dekho beta! Aap humaare bahu bano ya na bano, aapka sapna isse bilkul connected nahi hai! Shaadi personal maamla hai! Aapke business mein invest karna Professional! Humne bahut start ups ko finance kiya hai! Aapka start up ek aur naam banega uss list mein!"

Finally Geet agreed and Daadima and Geet continued to talk. To say that Daadima was impressed by Geet would have been an understatement. Daadima desperately wanted this smart girl to become the bahu of her house. Just then her phone rang. It was Maan! Daadima decided to call Maan over. But she knew that if she revealed where she was, Maan would cite some excuse to not come. So she told Maan to come and pick her up from her friend's place. Daadima was curious to see how Maan and Geet interacted with each other and hence wanted Maan to come here. Few minutes later, her phone rang. It was Maan who told her he was waiting outside for her. Daadima ordered Maan to come in. Daadima smilingly told the Hnadas that her grandson was coming in right away. Maan entered and Daadima eagerly watched everyone's reaction. It was just not the type of reaction she expected though!

"Arnav?"

"Arnav bete aap?"

"Yeh toh Arnav hai!"

The family's reaction was varying but Daadima gleaned enough from them to know that they thought of Maan as Arnav. Yeh kya ho raha hai yahaan? Daadima looked at Maan curiously who turned a shade paler as he stared at the family in front of him.

"Maan bete! Yeh aapko Arnav kyun bula rahe hain?", Daadima asked as she stood up and Maan turned even more paler!

Khushi was happily walking out of the temple of Devi Maiyya! When she had come to know that Maan''s Daadima was coming to see Geet, she felt hate for Geet for the first time. She was alarmed to feel the hate and hence decided to visit Devi Maiyya and ask her why Khushi suddenly hated Geet. Kyun? Khushi pondered as she walked away. Even after meeting her best friend, she did not get her answers. Kyun humein Maanji' aur Geet ki shaadi se problem hai? Humein toh humaari best friend ke liye khush hona chaahiye! Khushi could not understand. As she walked, all the times she spent with Maan' flashed through her mind. She smiled softly as she remembered the way he saved her life. She felt her cheek burn at the intense way he stared at her when she tied the kerchief around his wound. And then she frowned as she remembered him scolding her in the Jungle. Humein itna dard kyun hua jab Maanji' ne humein daanta toh? Because you liked getting attention from him, her traitorous heart whispered and she took in sharp breath. Kya? Nahi nahi! Chi chi! Woh toh humaare Jijaji hain! Hum unke baare mein aisa nahi soch sakte!

Just as she scolded herself, Khushi's eyes saw something and she froze. Maanji'! Yahaan? There in front of her walked Maan' with a lady with him. Yeh yahaan kaise? Inki Daadi toh Geet se milne gayi hai! Oh haan! Daadi gayi hai! Yeh thodi na! Yeh mandir aaye hain! Shaayad Devi Maiyya se maangne ki Daadima Geet ko pasand karlein! Khushi felt her heart pinch at the thought. But she rubbished it just as Maan' came face to face with her.

"Khushi!", Maan' whispered in shock as he stared at her and for the first time seeing him, Khushi's heart started beating faster.

Maan did not sleep for last few days. Geet plagued his thoughts day and night. Her new avatar that he saw on the last day made him more curious about her. For the first time in his whole life, Maan Singh Khurana was curious about a girl. He wanted to know more about her; what she likes, what were her dislikes, what was her favorite food, what made her tick. Maan wanted to know everything about her. And most important of all, Maan wanted to see her blush after looking at him, the way she used to do when they met.

So it is not surprising when Maan stared at the girl in front of him, he could not look away. But what surprised Maan was the reaction he had to her. His heart started beating faster and sweat gathered in his hands. He felt as if there was no one in the room except him and Geet. What was happening to him? And that is when his Daadima asked him why the Handas thought he was Arnav. Crash! He was back into reality. He looked at his Daadima in shock. Ab iss confusion se kaise niklun? If I blurted out Arnav's secret phir toh Arnav mujhe chodega nahi! Ab main kya bolun?

"Bolo Maan bete! Yeh kya ho raha hai yahaan?", Daadima prodded him and Maan looked at her in worry. That is when an idea struck him and he started to cook up a story, "Actually... Daadima... maine haan maine Arnav ko pehle bhej diya tha Maan banaakar!"

"Aisa kyun beta?", Daadima was distressed.

Maan smiled uneasily at his Daadima, "Woh kya haina ki maine suna tha ki ladkiyaan acting karti hai jo ladke use dekhne aaye uske saamne! Main Geet ka asli rang dekhna chaahta tha! Isliye main Arnav banke gaya!"

"Kya?", Daadima was aghast, "Maan! Yeh kaise ajeeb baat kar rahe ho? Geet ke saamne naam badalke gaye! Aise koi karta hai kya? Aapne toh aaj hadd paar kardi!"

"Koi baat nahi Ma ji!", the ever forgiving Rano spoke up and Daadima looked at her. Rano smiled at her, "Bachcha bas bachchi ko jaanna chaahta tha! Aur kuch nahi!"

"Haan Ma ji!", the always patient Mohinder spoke, "Bachche galti nahi karenge toh kaun karega! Isi bahaane dono ne ek duje ko jaan liya! Chod deejiye iss baat ko yahin!"

Daadima sighed but nodded and Maan heaved a sigh of relief.

"Toh Maan bete", Mohinder turned to Maan, "Aap toh Geet se mil chuke ho! Ab bolo beta, aapko humaari Geet pasand hai ki nahi?"

Maan looked at Geet unsure of how to reply. But he did not have to because Geet spoke up next, "Ek minute!" All elders looked at Geet but her eyes were on only one person; Maan. She glared at Maan, "Maan se pehle koi mujhse pooche ki mujhe yeh shaadi karni hai nahi!"

Maan felt as if his heart had dropped into his stomach.

Geet, who was standing in the corner till now, strode forward and came face to face with Maan, "Mujhe yeh shaadi nahi karni!"

"Geet!"

"Puttar!"

"Beta!"

All three elders looked at Geet with shock. Geet continued to speak, "Haan! Mujhe yeh shaadi nahi karni!" She finally turned to her parents, "Kyun karun main aise insaan se shaadi? Jo shaadi se mujhe jaanne ke naam pe mujhe parakhne aaya ho? Jo insaan ne mujhe jaanne se pehle hi yeh soch liya ki main uske saamne acting karungi aur apna asli roop nahi dikhaaungi uss insaan se main kaise shaadi karlun? Nahi!" She turned to Daadima, "Nahi! Main aise insaan se shaadi nahi kar sakti jo mujhse milne se pehle hi mujhe dhoka dena chaahta ho! Nahi Daadima! Mujhse nahi hoga!"

Geet turned around and stormed away. Her parents called out for her but she did not come back. Maan felt as if someone ripped his heart into million pieces. Yeh mujhe kya ho raha hai?

"Rehne de Rano puttar! Rehne de!", Daadima stopped Geet's parents from following her.

"Ma ji! Geet ko maaf kar deejiye!", Rano joined her hands in front of Daadima, "Bachchi hai! Ghusse mein bol gayi! Main baat kar lungi! Ek baar dimaag shaant ho jaaye toh main samjha bujhaake iss rishte ke liye haan bulwaa lungi!"

"Nahi! Rano puttar! Aisa kuch mat karna!", Daadima told Rano, "Geet kuch galat nahi bol rahi! Shaadi ki neev vishwas pe rakhi hoti hai! Maan ne toh yeh vishwas rishta judne se pehle hi tod diya! Nahi! Geet bete ne kuch galat nahi kiya! Achcha Puttar! Main chalti hoon!", Daadima joined her hands. Rano and Mohinder joined their hands too and Daadima walked out of the house. As she passed by Maan, she glared at him. She walked to her car and Maan followed her quietly.

"Yeh kaun hai Chote?", the lady with him asked and the spell between Arnav and Khushi broke. Khushi turned to see the lady smile at her. Chote? This must be his Di!

"Yeh Khushi hai Di! Hum Hoshiarpur mein mile the!", Arnav replied. When Arnav first saw Khushi, his heart jumped in excitement. Then he remembered her harsh words regarding him and he felt pain. And then he remembered his sister beside him and panicked. What if she called me Maan' in front of Di? I then will have to tell her the truth behind me hiding my identity and next thing I know Di would have gotten me married to Khushi, a girl who hated me. No! If there is anyone called God in this universe, then please don't let my secret out!

Anjali assumed that they met in Hoshiarpur district where Arnav had gone to meet his Khadi supplier and started to talk to Khushi. Khushi and Anjali chattered for a while and seeing this Arnav's patience was running thin. Here was a girl who rejected him, why would he want to stand beside her knowing very well that she cannot be his!

Khushi chatted with Anjaliji but her eyes kept on going to Maan'. Kyun Maanji' humein nahi dekh rahe? Hoshiarpur mein toh humein hi dekhte rehte, Humse hi baat karte! Lekin aaj baat toh kya, woh humein dekh bhi nahi rahe! Aisa kyun Devi Maiyya? Aisa kyun?

Anjali noticed the glances Khushi threw at Arnav but noticed her brother looking somewhere else. Toh yeh ladki bhi humaare Chote pe fida hogayi! Chalo Chote! Ek aur ladki shaheed hui tumhaare good looks pe!

Few minutes later, Anjali and Arnav excused themselves after Khushi and Anjali exchanged numbers and they walked into the temple. Khushi smiled at their retreating backs. Kitni pyaari hai Maanji' ki Anjali Di! Her mind flashed to the time when Maan' tried to get to know her in the mela. Aur kitne pyaare hain Maanji' bhi! Then her eyes widened. Nahi! Hum yeh nahi soch sakte! Woh toh humaare honewaale Jijaji hain! Hey Devi Maiyya! Yeh kya khel khel rahi ho tum!

"Chalo Chote! Ek aur ladki deewani hui tumhaare good looks pe!", Anjali giggled.

"What the!", Arnav looked at her in shock.

"Aur nahi toh kya? Tumne dekha nahi! Baar baar bas tumhein dekhe jaa rahi thi! Hum keh rahe hain Chote! Yeh ladki toh tumhaari Deewani hogayi!", Anjali laughed as she walked away. Arnav looked at her in shock. Really? Did Khushi like him too? Then he remembered her harsh words. No! Di is just imagining things! Khushi does not like me like that!

Khushi was brought out of her thoughts when her phone beeped. It was a text message from Geet. Khushi opened it and was shocked. It read, "I just met Maan!" Kya? Par kaise? Woh toh abhi yahin humein mile the! Mandir ke andar se Manchanda House kaise pahunch gaye? She right away dialed Geet's number. Geet picked up the call.

"Geet! Yeh tum kya keh rahi ho? Tum Maan se mili!", Khushi asked in surprise.

"Haan! Main uss khotte de puttar se abhi mili!", Geet spoke in angrily.

Khushi ignored the angry tone for the sake of solving the case of two two Maans, "Par main toh abhi abhi Mandir mein Maanji' aur unki behen se mili hun! Woh itne jaldi wahaan kaise pahunch gaye?"

"Tum Maan se nahi Arnav se mili ho! In dono ne Hoshiarpur mein humse milne se pehle apna naam badal diya! Maan Arnav hai aur Arnav Maan hai!", Geet explained.

It took Khushi a while to understand but when she did her first thought was quite different than what Geet might have expected. Yaani ki humein jo pasand hai woh humaare Jijaji Maan nahi, Arnav hai! Hey Devi Maiyya! Khushi grinned excitedly.

But then Geet spoke her next line which vanished Khushi's smile from her face, "Aur unhonein naam badla mujhe parakhne ke liye!"

"Kya?", Khushi was horrified, "Matlab?" And then Geet explained from start; from when she met Daadima till the Khuranas left the house. Khushi could only listen to the narration with horrified silence. After listening to all these things, Khushi understood one thing. Geet was not impressed with this identity change drama played by Maan!
